  1. I bet I got one better. Austin Powers theme x Remix + Ludacris.
  2. Acura TL. That's probably the hottest looking import IMO.
  3. New Previously: HHR Now: I kinda like the Malibu, but probably still HHR. Now, this will all depend on two things. A, what will the car market look like in 2009? B, will I have enough money to start another SmartBuy at that time?
  4. Yeah... Pretty much.
  5. This allows Ford to group the Five Hundred and Freestyle together on the sales charts without looking like they're cheating like Toyota. Chevy should have renamed the Monte Carlo to "Impala" for the 2006 redesign. Edit: Hooray for proofreading.
  6. On that note, what has to be done to recalibrate the speedometer when the wheel size changes? This is something that's irked me for as long as I've been driving.
  7. The Highlander has been long overdue for an update, especially by Toyota standards. This one, for some reason, reminds me of the Hyundai Santa Fe. It is certainly outstyled by the Saturn Outlook and GMC Acadia (and unlike with other vehicles, I'm sure most would agree with me here).
  8. Highlander: Congratuations, Toyota. You have successfully imitated the HYUNDAI Santa Fe. xB: An improvement over the previous gen. No longer 1980's retro. What's the matter, cargo area windows aren't cool anymore? xD: Oh no... Damn Camry turtletooth emblem! That is by far my least favorite styling element on the Camry, and it happens to make its way across marques. Also, this is essentially an updated xA. Did they really have to rename it? Additionally, if Scion were smart, they wouldn't have released a model with the "xD" emblem to their target audience of twenty-something that love to surf the Net. Refer to Exhibit D, where these two letters in combination reflect someone laughing their ass off. And now, I will never be able to look at an xD with a straight face again.
  9. Didn't they just unveil the redesigned "Five Hundred" LAST MONTH? Ford has gotten really stupid with names lately. Ford Rep: This is the all-new MKZ. Bystander: Hey that looks just like my Zephyr. Ford Rep: Your WHAT? No, this is called the MKZ. I've never heard of this so-called "Zephyr".
  10. Japanese engineers are more interested in creating high horsepower numbers by revving the crap out of their engines.
  11. Other observations from the competitive chart. The G8's cargo space is only outdone by the Bonneville by .5 cubic feet. And the Lexus GS has a disgusting 12.7 cubic feet of cargo space... In other words, a smaller trunk than my Cobalt. And that's not another typo. Powertrain wise, the G8's engine has the largest displacement and beats all the other cars on the chart, although the Charger costs less. Then again, the Charger is the only non-luxury car on the chart aside from the Pontiacs. The G8 is outweighed only by the Charger. The rest of the cars are mostly within 200-300 lbs. In other words, one or two people's worth in weight. The G8 is the widest car of the bunch, but not the tallest or the longest. It's also not the shortest in either measurement. You could get away with giving this car the Wide Track designation. The Charger has the longest wheelbase by over 5 inches. The G8 is the distant 2nd here, but all the cars except for the Charger are in the 112-115 inch range. While this is not the most scientific of data, it should be noted that the G8 has the most overall room of all cars mentioned on the chart at 391.2 combined inches. As for the other numbers in this comparison? The Bonneville has a combined 386.1", the Charger has 385.5", the BMW was excluded because hip room wasn't measured (but it otherwise barely beats out the GS), the M has 383.0", and the GS has 371.9". In fact, it's as if the chart was arranged from most to least room, with the exception of the BMW. The Maxima is mysteriously absent from this chart, despite it being mentioned as a key competitor in the first chart. The current Grand Prix is also absent, which would have been a handy reference since the G8 is replacing it.
  12. Interesting... The competitive chart has a typo for the Horsepower RPM. I began to wonder to myself how an engine could possibly reach peak horsepower before reaching peak torque.
  13. My favorite part about the H1: It's wide enough to seat eight in two rows, but the drivetrain only allows four.I suppose there's no mystery as to why the H1 was discontinued.
  14. Considering this is a relatively surprise entry from GM for this auto show season, this car is a stunner. Even if the styling is somewhat conservative, the G8 still looks better than most other cars on the road. The RAM AIR (and lack of Banglization) help to differentiate it from the BMW line-up. The clear portion of the new emblem is a nice touch, but I'm really going to miss color. If the production wheels are designed anything like these show-car wheels, they will absolutely stand out on the road. It would be unjust for GM to go back to five-spoke rims after unveiling the car in these shoes. The tail lights are kinda "meh", and have a rather strong "Look, Altima! I can be cool, too!" vibe coming from them. But they at least look better than the Malibu's Diamante tail lamps.
  15. For reference, I need to look at a stock Civic interior... Now, completely ignoring the tacky trim... - The nav screen appears to be obstructed in its current position. - The button layout for the stereo doesn't seem ergonomically friendly. I imagine I'd have to look down to find a particular preset. - Is that push-button start AND a turn-key ignition? - I'm glad they separated the fuel door and trunk releases from each other. You want to talk about awkward? This is what's in the current model:
  16. That would be one slick refresh.
  17. The rear is not so much to my liking, but everything in front of the decklid is damn sexy.
  18. You're right... It's not a shovelnose. It's a cowcatcher (known as a pilot in the business).
  19. Now now... For all the average person knows, those pixellated characters are crude manifestations of Osama bin Laden himself. And why the hell is this referred to as a "hoax"? It's not like the marketing agency WANTED people to think these things were bombs planted all over the city.
  20. Concept: Awesome. Execution: Actually, not so bad. (You can thank Toyota and Honda for desensitizing me to hideous design.)
  21. Woo! Distant 5th! Thanks for the votes. Let's hope GM doesn't design any more awkward tails and I won't have to resort to chops like this.
  22. Did you know that the Macarena was the official song of the Democratic Party for the 1996 election year? Sorry, that's not quite right. This is what happens when you play "Telephone" with your memory. The song was used during the campaign trail that year, though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macarena_(song)
  23. Something about the Razor roofline and pillar shape reminds me of the 1950s. It does need some design tweaks. I think the headlights might be the major culprit here. The design is "almost" right.
  24. I completely missed that it has a new emblem. I confused the monochrome for glare. For awhile I figured it was only a matter of time before they would update the arrowhead. This beats that Van Halen dealie that I made that most of you have seen... The car itself looks nice. Somehow this is exactly how I was expecting it to look, minus those sweet wheels. Conservative? Yes. Boring? Hell no.
  25. Considering the amount of money that has gone into your hardware, you can probably get Silverstone to replace some if any of it turns out to be damaged. Also, unless they give you a newer model that has this problem corrected, I would definitely suggest a different PSU. What's your power requirement? You can get a sufficient PSU for under $100, as long as you don't need insane wattage. And if you do need insane wattage, I suggest you hire an electrician to install a new circuit dedicated to your power-hungry PC.
