new elcamino

Featured Replies

That's not the "new" El Camino.. it's a custom job from someone who imported a Holden Ute from Australia.

Yep, if you look, the sterring wheel is still on the right side.

I do wish they would bring back the El Camino. The Ute would be a great starting point, IMO.

*sigh*

Ohhh you like the one in your sig more anyway (although it is based on the Ute haha).

If one desired to do so, they could transport a used Ute from the Middle East and take it from there. I don't think it would cost that much...would it?

it would be a great start to reviving the E.C.s in the states

Since I live in a jurisdiction that doesn't require front licence plates, I cleaned it up a bit.

Yes in excess of $50K and according to NHTSA rules it must be taken out of the country after 1 year or it gets crushed.

You have to crash test at least 4 of them.

What makes you think these pictures were even taken in the US?

Obviously, they were not. The car has a New South Wales plate. Last time I checked, that means an Australian address.

They do not sell a LHD Ute in the middle East. They use US Chevy trucks!
