New Fiat Linea

ZL-1

Recommended Posts

To be introduced at the Istambul Motor Show (the same mototrshow where the 4 door Astra is to be unveiled, I believe), here are two links to articles re the new Fiat Linea:

1) http://blogs.edmunds.com/Straightline/1654

2) http://www.jalopnik.com/cars/news/fiat-get...nbul-208960.php

I believe it to be Gamma-based, effectively being the "Grande Punto Sedan": the Linea is 4.56m in length with a wheelbase of 2.6m, while the Grande Punto hatch is 4.03m in length with a 2.51m wheelbase.

Not Gamma-based, but based on an updated Fiat Stilo platform shared with the Stilo replacement, the new Fiat Bravo. The Grande Punto and new Corsa use a cut-down version of this platform.

Aha, that's it! I was under the impression Gamma was the name used for the platform. Thanks for clearing that up.

The new Bravo is a very nice as well! Do you have any inside info on interiors for these new Fiats? Fiat's been promising better interiors forever, but somehow always falls short on delivering those improvements...
