Limited is the perfect combination, and the best lease in the lineup. Everything is standard, and now for 2019, the further updated flush 8.4" UConnect and Blind Spot are as well. Mom wanted nothing to do with in car Nav after the mess of a MyLink radio in the Traverse (and Terrain before it) so the 7.0" with CarPlay has been perfect for her. Better gas mileage than any car she's had...and rips through the 8 speed, flawlessly. This is a package, 8 years in, that never seems to age vs. the competition.4 points

Love that color! Stop start is annoying on my Equinox...still not used to it yet! Love the GCs, it was pretty much my choice before the nox. I am starting to think I might dump the Chevy for a limited one of these (all they have around here). Drove my bosses 18 Limited, and I really loved it. Just a very solid ride to me....3 points

A friend is up to 110k on her 2014 GC Limited...with original brakes, a set of 20" tires changed once, and not much else. Great tanks, with mileage and capability to match. A lot changed in 2016 forward, with engine modifications, tuning, the shifter, the front fascia, etc. so each year there are improvements that not everyone notices. Great car. To be continued for the 2020 model year...as the next gen isn't ready yet, until 2021.3 points

I always talked people out of adaptive cruise...but now that I'm a road warrior daily in NY, I get it. Good move. Glad it's becoming standard now for normal car makers. You know, unlike GM focus groups and "our customers say they don't want those features"...where even blind spot is optional in a $50k+ Cadillac. Thankfully, unlike GM again (also), the blind spot system in an FCA vehicle is functional, and vs. you having to stare at it because it does nothing but maybe light up, if its on and you signal, "beep beep beep!". Add adaptive cruise (easy not expensive bundle on a Limited), and you're set, including auto parking. The difference in feel and platform between a Cherokee and GC is huge. So, auto stop is rarely noticed in the GC. She loves it...and that's saying something. We test drove a new Toyota Highlander Limited that would shudder on off on off every time, followed by a "what is wrong with this car?" reaction. Jeep, never notices, and likes it.3 points

So I saw an ad for a Fiat 500L Urbana Edition the other day and while I can say it is not my cup of tea at all, it got me thinking about cars I do like that I am at least a little bit ashamed to admit to. I thought it might be a fun and interesting topic. To keep it timely, lets say it has to be a vehicle that was produced within the last 5 years. It does not have to be sold in the U.S. market for you to post it. Here are a few of mine: Fiat 500X Trekking This is the one I was thinking of when I thought of this topic. I'm not sure why and I can't explain it, but I actually like these little buggers. I'm ashamed to admit I actually like it better than its Jeep Renegade sibling. I know it tends to be thought of as somewhat of a "chick" car but I dig it. Chevrolet Sonic Another little runabout that I am a little ashamed to admit that I really like. For this one, though, I am not really sure why I am ashamed. They aren't bad little cars. The current gen is a bit oddly styled I guess. Give me the last versions exterior and the current versions interior and I'd have a winner on my hands. Buick LaCrosse Again, I won't say I am horribly ashamed to admit it, but I am a little ashamed. As a middle aged man, I don't think I am supposed to be drawn to this car until I am 15 years older than I am now and yet here I am really liking this car. I would take it over the Impala. Seriously considered buying one of them last year when they had some huge rebates on them but wound up not pulling the trigger.2 points

I honestly at one time thought I could see myself with a G-Wagon from MB. Yet with the moving goal post that @smk4565 has done with everything MB and especially today with an ASSHOLE MB CUV owner who moved set cones at the pass to park right in front and minimize walking which also made it impossible for me to leave I had to wait to get the Ski Resort to tow the assholes POS out of the way. I can honestly say I do not see myself ever owning an MB or BMW auto. I can say that I might if Porsche ever builds something big enough to fit me comfy go with them or Audi. My other only two non-American auto's I would own is a true Skyline (R33/R34) or possibly a Land Cruiser from Toyota.2 points

The great thing about GJC, whatever anyone believes about FCA reliability... They have built and sold so many and you can find parts everywhere for it, and Mopar is unparalleled in the variety of they product catalog. You can basically swap fascias, drive lines, half shafts, besrings, mostly anything except maybe transmission from the '11 redesign up till now. This is the edicated, wise person choice in this segment. Or get the new Explorer or Durango if you truly want something flashy2 points

About the only features from the higher trims (Overland or Summit) I'd like to have would be the power folding mirrors, pano roof, and ventilated seats, along w/ Apple Car Play from the newer versions. Maybe in a few years I'll look for a CPO '19- '20 Summit in brown.2 points

Very nice..I've been happy w/ my '14 GC Limited...had it almost 2 years now. It's been great on road trips and around town.2 points

Ugh, that's one thing I hate about intellilink... every time we plug the phone in it tries three times to switch to Pandora even though we set it back to whatever we're listening to, usually XM or FM. I look forward to having android auto and apple car play....I carry one of each. I found the auto-stop in the Cherokee (not Grand) to be a little too aggressive in heavy traffic, but otherwise, I didn't mind it too much. I only shut it off once during a trip back to PA from Miami when there was a huge wreck on 95 north. The one thing I really really want in my next vehicle is adaptive cruise control. I think it would make a world of difference for me during the long drives I do.2 points

This is possible on 2018's and newer. Although the screens and buttons "look the same" on a 2017 vs. 2018 model, as an example, 2018 and newer UConnects are all new, from graphics to hardware to CarPlay, and have the drag & drop. We have the "base" 7.0" UConnect in our 2018 Grand Cherokee, with drag & drop. Helps, just like a smartphone, to put what you want where you want it.2 points

The entire system was a mess, and in both the Terrain and Traverse, whether USB, Bluetooth, or FM, would repeatedly crash, freeze, black out or lock onto Pandora by default at start up. This is a different world, however. After putting 5,500 miles on a 2017 GC Limited rental I had, all over NYC, update NY, western PA, etc. repeatedly, definitely one of my favorite new vehicle packages. 550 miles to a tank, getting 23-26 mpg effortlessly in something silent and perfectly sized doesn't hurt either. Mom, who was terrified of Start Stop, and I said "you can turn it off" now says "absolutely not. It's so cool. I'm in traffic or stuck all the time. Is that why it never needs gas? It's better than any of my cars...and so fast". Boom.1 point

The story actually made me tear up. Family owned business. Knowing their customers. GM reps telling them to get rid of the gas pumps but the guy knew that was a stupid idea as he knew how to get people to come in his dealership. He knew his customers. He would order vehicles with specific clients in mind with specific options knewing well when the time has come for his loyal cutomer base to change vehicles back in the day... Small town mentality. Small town friendliness and hospitality. Sure it was a business....to make money, but doing business with your friendly neighbors is what we have lost in our selfish ways nowadays. They support your business, you sell them stuff at fair and reasonable prices. Which in turn makes you buy from your other friendly neighbor Hood stores around you.... THAT is what made me tear up! Thax Balthy. Great story indeed.1 point

So, you're saying Genesis is in the beginning stages of something great? We call them "Jennays" (in a Forrest Gump Accent GLS) at work1 point

But.... but.... What if they gonna makes a V16??? Make Mercedes Great Again?! ?1 point

^^^^^ My brother likes that car right up there because, and I quote, their "phat ass". I like the new Camry. Say what you will. But you can still get a V6. You can still get a real automatic. Now of course you can always say that we'l, for the same money and some change just get a damn Impala you noob... And to that I say, but does it have a true Quad Exhaust? And then some fake ass bumper vents. I don't know why Toyoto did that to be quite honest. Like who thought it made sense to tack on Walmart style fake vents on that damn thing?1 point

Yet Ferrari...went from a 6.3 liter V12 to a...gulp...6.5 liter V12 in their 812 Superfast, that they will continue to build. Coincidentally, Chevy's, Dodge's and Ford's largest displacement V8s in their 700 plus horsepower behemoths are smaller than Ferrrari's 6.5 liter V12.. Hey...arent F1 engines 6 cylinder affairs nowadays? So what does F1 races have to do with 1%er V12 engines anyhow? Alls I know is that Ferrari is doing juuuuust fine with V12s and their supercars! sometimes downsizing doesnt always work while keeping the status quo works miracles...if past history taught us a lesson...1 point

I totally agree, but with the marketing invested in CT, maybe keep ICE on alpha numeric and with the new EV product line go all names again. That I think would be the best for Cadillac moving forward.-1 points
