  1. Actually, I just returned from vacation in Paris and we took few Uber rides there. One of them was in VW Passat and another one was in Peugeot 408. I would take 408 over Passat in a heartbeat, interior was much nicer and roomier and it rode nicer. The crossover looked nice as well.

  3. But they're building it anyway for other markets. Why not sell it here anyway?

  4. Not every truck buyer needs a regular bed or a long bed on their pickup truck.

  5. The 3008 looks like a good vehicle for Peugeot to start with in the US. It hits right at the core of the US market.

  7. I’ve said this for years but I’ll say it again. More and more folks are buying used and CPO for more than obvious reasons. Sales trends over the last few years reflect this. Thank you high priced new cars.

  9. Nice to see Lincoln there with a good bump. Aviator should help there even more soon.

  10. Meh : 5.5 > 6.5 = 1 measly foot. Besides- not every car buyer needs a trunk, they should sell trunkless sedans. :P

  12. V12s are still usefull. Whether 600 horsepower V8s exist or electric motors will be dominant in the luxury class of vehicles. V12s are still the top of the heap in 2019. We still have a-ways to go to reach 2023 when maybe electric motors will dominate the luxury world. Plus, V12s are not meant for pure speed and fastness. But for smoothness AND speed in a GT car. In a cruiser. But not a bruiser ride. But a smooth, boulevard, cruiser ride and V12s are just about the best there is IN 2019. I aint talking about hybrid technology either. Just pure internal combustion technology. And while it does take 2 turbos for BMW's V12 to get to 600 on 6.6 liters, Im sure BMW could get more than that outta them. But Im not sure BMW wants to dump R&D money on the V12 to achieve that. Ferrari did though. On a 6.5 liter V12 making close to 800 NATURALLY ASPIRATED horsepower. The most NATURALLY ASPIRATED horses EVER to be offered on a road going production vehicle on their GT car. Because the 812 Superfast is a GT car. (but a lackluster torque number as compared to that stupendous horsepower number) Their new big SUV, whatever its called, could possibly use this V12 they got. Why not? They wont sell many, true. But their V12 is still needed. For 2019. It be not a good decision to dump the V12 now. In 2023? well, we arent there yet. Possibly a good decision then.

  17. Well, that is some excellent info there, my friend. Consider me now informed. Yes, perhaps I was confused. 6.5' is acceptable (even tho it's only a half foot longer than a traditional short bed). But the 5.5' bed still angers me. So does the fact that perhaps I am NOT shopping in 2019, but must put it off until '20. I can still look tho. Here's hoping that the sales downtick in Q1 and the possible 'embarrassment' of the Ram slipping past the SIlvie in volume makes Chevy start throwing all possible combos on the lot, including a RC/6.5' version.

  18. I assume they studied the sales numbers of the previous gen regular cab short bed and determined it wouldn't generate enough profit to offer it here in the new generation.

  19. That is a sweet Durango...I like that color combo. I saw a derelict 2nd gen Durango this morning, black with lots of crunchy body rust..the rear hatch was mashed in and had rusty frills at the bottom edge, but the Hemi badge remained. Those 2nd gen models were so ugly and lumpy.

  20. The Colorado Z71 Trail Runner and Silverado WT Appearance Package 4X4 V8 I posted above are in the same price range, at $39k. I could save $1400 and get the excellent 4.3L V6 in the Silverado. Both trucks with V6 would get similar gas mileage, per road test reports. The Colorado, with a low profile radio antenna, would fit in my garage. The Silverado would need parked outside, and I would want a remote start kit put on it for winter mornings. My dad and brother both park their trucks outside their garages... and although I think a garage is for vehicle storage and not junk, I could get used to parking outside I guess. But do I want to? I just love the idea of an old-school regular cab pickup truck...

  21. Daughters Durango had to have some work done, so was at the dealership to pick it up for her. Saw this Brand new Mopar 18 Durango 392 AWD. 6.4L V8, talk about a sexy package. That is HOT HOT HOT

  22. Considering the mess they left when they were here last, that is more like giving it away for 20 plus years to build up enough history of reliable auto's for people to pay a premium. Will not trust a Peugeot. I your 40 plus years old, you know the crap they had and how they left people holding the bag of the garbage they tried to sell and then dumped and fled. I do not trust them period. They are just barely 1 step above Alfa that should have stayed in the history books for the garbage it is.

  23. Or even a full size or mid size. Mini works for many, just look at how many old Mini Ford Rangers were sold.

  26. It really depends on what they decide to bring over. Fiat is even more niche than failing Mini. Alfa already has a reputation for poor reliability. I don't think those two things will apply to Peugeot... at least at first.

  27. 4 different oddities.... #1. 1960s era Falcoln based Ranchero on a car carrier headed north on Ohio 315. Could not get a good look at it to determine exact year. #2. On a load of crushed cars...sadly...what looked like a 1950s era finned Mopar. 4 doors...but was on back stack of cars...could not get a look at the front. Looked like it had either been restored at one point or extremely well kept original. Not sure if wrecked or stripped for parts or...? #3. Eighties era Rolls Royce...just out cruising. #4. New Jetta R...in an Orange color. Looked good...could see myself buying one.

  28. They can get 600 hp out of a V8, so I don't know how much longer the V12 is needed. Post 2023 it will all be about electric cars, especially on the high end.

  30. YAWN, Meh, no big deal or anything special to see here. The engine is a dead duck flying. I really wonder how many they expect to sell over the next 5 years.
