I’m just speaking of the color. I love seeing colored leathers!2 points

Well it is my duty as an American to crusade against anything that compromises our standard of living.2 points

The nicest CUV in its class, easily. Makes the Cadillac TX4, or whatever it's called, look like the cardboard box the Corsair was shipped in. And take a look at those power figures... this is luxury car power.2 points

Makes sense then that the headrest is a dead pedal for anyone considering such tripe as this.2 points

This looks way better in person. Again, GM cars don't seem to photograph well but look good in person.2 points

They're not letting people into the Rivian at the moment. I'll see tomorrow, but it's unlikely.2 points

He is going to tell you that he takes his 15 years old Escalade off road all the time and sees plenty of Escalade enthusiasts off road2 points

No big surprises after the Legacy debut. I'd be good with the turbo and that medium brown leather interior.2 points

Hmmm no more 2.0T. Hyundai has some nice looking vehicles inside and out now but not sure I trust their powertrains.2 points

I agree. I don't know what they're for but they were also on the first/last(dated back to 2006) gen GL.2 points

CT5 already beats this, this is the same blah interior you have accused others of having and now you hold it up as a yard stick of gotta beat this? ?2 points

From Automobile Mag.. and what I've been saying for a month.. are we doing this with SMK again? I posted the specs earlier2 points

Visually I like Cadillac's interiors much more, personally. Quality wise I don't know, hopefully new ones will be on par with Germans. I like front and back of the car but not crazy about the profile. Hopefully it will be very good. In any case it will be tough sell in today's market of crossovers.2 points

At the New York International Auto Show today, Lincoln unveiled the 2020 Lincoln Corsair. The Corsair is a small crossover that takes over for the MKC in Lincoln's lineup and joins the new Lincoln Aviator, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Navigator. Lincoln says the Corsair has "Visually soothing design" and offers a sanctuary for drivers. Effortless power comes standard. Customers can use their phone as a key to enter the cabin, and should their phone go dead, they can use the standard exterior keypad and then the interior touch screen to enter and start driving. If the customers phone is lost or stolen, the digital key can easily be deleted. The key saves a profile of up to 80 driver preferences to be automatically adjusted when a specific driver enters the vehicle. Lincoln designers obsessed over interior quietness, providing things like a double wall dashboard to create extra space between the engine and driver. This is further enhanced with standard Active Noise Cancellation. Six unique symphonic chimes inform the driver of various status in and around the vehicle. The chimes were recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. When you do want sound, there is a 14-speaker Revel sound system tuned specifically for the Corsair. Power for the Corsair comes in the form of either a 250 horsepower 2.0 Ecoboost with 275 lb-ft of torque, or a 2.3 liter Ecoboost with 280 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a new 8-speed automatic to either the front or all wheels. Lincoln Co-Pilot360 is standard and comes with automatic emergency braking and Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Information System, a Lane-Keeping System, rear backup camera and auto high-beam lighting. Co-Pilot360 Plus is an option that adds Adaptive cruise control, Evasive steer assist, Reverse brake assist, and Active Park Assist Plus. The 2020 Lincoln Corsair will be built in Lincoln's Louisville Assembly Plant in Louisville, Kentucky, and will be arriving in dealerships this fall. View full article1 point

I like the simple look here. Have not really heard much about the head gasket in the last 6-7 years. Would think these should be good to go!1 point

$42k for a CX-5 is pretty insane. They'll sell about 10 of these diesels1 point

The "chimes" recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra were completely aimed at people like me who love that type of stuff but think no one else does.1 point

This thing is awesome in a somewhat dorky way. Here's an additional photo of two parked side by side. It reminds me of a Hyundai version of the Kia Soul but in a fresher flavor. Scared to ask if the stick is available in the highest trim level. I would take one in Green Apple, highest trim with stick. This thing kicks the Nissan Kicks in the gonads, fur shurr yo.1 point

I like the grille, belt line character lines, and lower body character lines better on the gold/brown one. I like the roof line and lower front lighting better on the white one. It is very sad that we're losing the current Cruze. When in SoCal, a Chevy salesperson told me that they don't have any problems selling them, whereas the Impalas move off the floor somewhat slowly. As we already know, it's the profit issue and not the volume issue. There's no GM car in the compact to midsize slot at this point. Meh. Maybe the Malibu is a mid-size even though rental car agencies consider them full-sizes. Funny thing is that the 'Bu isn't leaps and bounds above the Cruze in road manners, refinement, and comfortable driving. Edit: those brown colors for the exterior and interior are nice. It's about time that the tans offered for the exterior no longer look like metallic urine samples and the tans offered for the interior no longer look a few shades off white and prone to showing stains.1 point

And nobody takes Escalades off road, should they get rid of the low range transfer case? That's not how luxury items work..1 point

Not ALL boxer engines had gasket problems1 point

What is the point of the 1.6T? It's about the same power as the 2.5, and I imagine the fuel economy improvements wouldn't be that substantial, soooooo why opt for it? No more powerful engine option is confusing to me.1 point

XT4 is said to be almost spot in in actual size to the ATS. The wheelbase is most likely increased as they perform the same type of upsizing in key areas that they did for the CT5. The ENTRY price is where everyone IS FOCUSING, when actual evidence shows that those entry prices are few and far between, especially when ATPs are where they are. Remember that the CTS, despite starting at $46K had an ATP of over or around $60K not counting Vseries in those numbers either. It is a very nice interior, but that does not negate the apparent fact that the CT5 has now equaled them in terms of looks and features. To be honest, the CTS was on par with the previous A6 too except in small areas that only interior fondlers sought out.. Like under the seat. ?1 point

On top of some rather anemic HP numbers for a midsize car. The rest of it is pretty sharp though.1 point

I'd say that based on pics.. Cadillac has matched them. Interesting tho is that the other two Germans are now behind in terms of interiors is this interior is as nice as it looks in pre-production1 point

times were different and Detroit was just getting used to all the emissions/fuel economy BS from a decade back. I'm loving the idea of a 2.3L Turbo with 330/350 available in an actual good looking Ford. ?1 point

This is a sweet concept. It is small, but its ability to reconfigure for a longer bed makes it brilliant for the occasional Lowes or Home Depot run. The rear seat would never get used by me, except for groceries. I'd buy one. TDi and stick?1 point

Interesting...think it could do well here,,,1 point

A lot of those cars are dead or will be in 6 months. I assume there will be a V of the CT4 and CT5, but who knows, maybe they can't find the business case for that either. Cadillac sells like 5 SUVs to every one sedan probably. I still think since they Denali everything, they might as well V-series everything. Although putting the crossovers on Alpha/Omega chassis would help make that more plausible. I don't see how there isn't a business case when they make $80,000 Camaros and $130k Corvettes and $70k pickups. They find buyers for top trims on Chevy's I don't see how they can't on Cadillacs.1 point

Too bad Chevrolet killed off the Avalanche. A smaller one would really shake up the midsize pickup truck market.1 point

Might as well build it, the market doesn't have smaller sized pick ups now and I think one would sell. 147 hp won't get it done in the USA, but they can drop the 2.0T motor in there and be fine. They could probably sell more of these than Arteons.1 point

They did a good job of adapting larger Buick styling cues like the grille and taillights onto a small package. Sharp.1 point

It is exactly the same exterior length as the e-class... 193.8 inches and has a 1 inch longer wheelbase.1 point

Would totally make sense to use some old hardware, with new tech like Nissan and go after the youth market with a cheap cost car. That is the only way to get butts in the seats again. Love the look in their brown color. Damn sharp interior for this car.1 point

I am in a weird funk of listening to original and then comparison versions today of music. Simon and Garfunkel - Hazy Shade of Winter - Recorded in 1966 for their 1968 Bookends Album.
