  2. I like the darkish blues. i'm not opposed to white (only 2 cars i've had are, if you count a lite cream)
  3. ah. didn't know. i'm sure chinese isn't the easiest to translate to either. hopefully it's better today than before. has he picked up any simple english, or does he rely on others in his family to help him?
  4. well....at least the dept isn't making their officers learn spanish. if they have drivers licenses, wouldn't the test have to be in english? and if they have a license they have to be a legal immigrant...? so this can't be a case of illegals. yes, if you come to this country you should have some basic english, otherwise you're limiting yourself to a very small area, ethnic communities. those used to abound, prolly there are many still here, but when they leave those areas, they can not function if they were not exposed to the other language on a near daily basis. if they are citizens, they'd have to know english if they were drafted, and if they were naturalized, those tests are in english, no?
  5. tea say bay vuto ill chur vello no idea on spellings, but that's a good one.
  6. all the Italian i know is from Space ghost C2C. "Caio, that's Italian for food" or how about "sono una tase de tea" not sure on spelling though.
  7. +1 i'd say go for LED backlighting, should last longer, and provide a better picture.... if you can afford the extra dough.
  8. Teh... it deson't wrok!!!!! IDFKWTI!!!!!! i don't f'n know what that is. just made it up.
  9. yeah..... Glad you got it fixed and it didn't take the system with it
  10. yeah.... i'm running a corsair 650W with my much more powerful pc, am3 phenom 2 x3, 4gb ram, 3 hard drives, the 4770..... and pulling less than my ~450W OCZ, athlon xp 1 gb ram 2 HDD and an x800
  11. i think what you're calling pollution is maybe what Balth is thinking of CO2.... ?
  12. i don't mind them. the coupe certainly looks better than the sedan. i've seen the new ones kinda alot it seems recently... or it's just a few ones over and over. drove a 3.9L GXP once (boss's daughter's). it was pretty nice. it certainly lacked somethings, but prolly could have lived with it.
  13. olds. just going to say this, i'm not disagreeing with you, but we find "animals" living around floor vents that were poisonous to plants and animals, untill we found those. "extremophiles" exist. one scientist even thinks that organisms could live and create oil and therefor oil is quite possibly "infinite" until science/technology becomes unrestricted by political means, and manipulated for political gain, this discussion will only be a marry-go-round. whether we are going to cause a vast Armageddon and know it, or it was going to happen anyway but maybe just at a slower pace...F' it. hahah just kiddin
  14. ah. the joy of your paint skills.
  15. wish mine costed only that much.... 2x that, and i couldn't find some cross-trainers either. my last pair lasted...2-3 years fairly well... only worn inside the shoe, otherwise were still pretty good. on my 3rd pair of NBs
  16. oh well.. just means what you get later will be better or cheaper.
  17. yes. cause politics keep us from doing what seems fairly straight forward.......
  18. true toxins released should fall under property damage when it does on other's lands/waters. the epa's maximum allowable pollution (true pollution, not CO2) is just a license to pollute .. the biggest fuel user. Armed forces. and thow about the TVA coal plant that lost control of it's ash pond...?something like that. i've heard any action on that incident was at least covered up....? not heard anymore about it. some "extremists" (using that cause i'm sure some of them would love to just have a discussion at state levels about such things) would consider dam building pollution cause of the damage it does to the river habitats. back on topic, i'm all for conservation, but you can't take away the "progress" that has happened, and you can't hurt future progress with things like cap and trade, when it's not something that is pollution. my opinion is all we can do is put data we know into simulations, those simulations will always be flawed untill we know everything about how this planet works, then models won't be needed. we should do our part to lessen our "damage" but never because of coercive forces. we must innovate and use what we have available to us to progress into a better environment for the future.
  19. Happy birthday!
  20. Too bad we spend it on that when who knows what other good would have come from that money. hell, if we're so opposed to fossil fuels, spend it on nuclear power and recycling. not that i want my taxes spent from the hands of economic planners.
  21. i think the 3.6L DI would need to be there, unless it's somehow considerably lighter than the LaX... but otherwise i could see this working.
  22. hopefully that "fender vent" isn't production. guess it'll be slightly smaller than the LaX....will it have the same engine though?
  23. Happy birthday guys!

    Impala Radio

seems to happen in my parents 03 or 04 lesabre.... when the lights are one the display doesn't dim.... well.. at least 1/2 the time.
  25. receivers aka headunits are made to drive 4 to 8 ohm speakers. 2 ohms may not kill it quickly, but they will over time, for sure. older speakers were 8ohm, and often still used in cheap oem solutions. i'd guess the vast majority of aftermarket speakers are 4 ohm. 2ohm speakers draw more current therefor straining the amp, and leading to premature failure. usually dedicated amps are used to drive 2 ohm speakers.
