  1. i checked. they're 2 ohm. that'll kill a headunit's amp. would require a purpose built amp. i'm also partial to Polk cause their frequency response is -3db where as infinity's is +/-3db...for comparison, pioneer's is prolly something like -10db...? never figured it out really
  2. 4x6 plate for your front doors. $100 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB461P/Pol...tures_and_specs or just a 4x6. $80 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB461/Polk...461.html?tp=105 6.5" rears $100 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB651S/Pol...51s.html?tp=105 these are shallow.. not sure if it's the depth or the mounting height that you can't use the regular depth one...or a 6x9... general advice: for sound quality go with round speakers over ovals.
  3. crutchfield is great since they provide all harnesses and mounting hardware for speakers and headunits. and tells you what fits and what doesn't i've been a pioneer fan - headunits, but they suck as far as CEA06 power ratings....mainly love their EQ and built in crossover settings. A kenwood might have red lighting....? Speakers- Polk db's superb performance for the price, usually have a buy 1 get one 1/2 off deal.... i think the new infinity's are 2ohm.. that will kill a headunit not designed for it... which i think are pretty much all of them.
  4. assuming i find a job in the next month or 2. i hope to upgrade to some next gen amd products. 800 series chipset mobo, maybe a beast 5800 series..... looks like you got your plan together.
  5. AMD supposedly is releasing the 57x0's this week....? are you planning on gaming before getting a 58x0? the 4770 has been awesome for me, but if you're not gaming, just try to find something cheaper....?

    it is kinda funny.
  7. i've been cycling around the past few weeks. can't follow stop lights.. they dont' detect bikes.... and if i can see coming traffic don't stop at signs either.... other than that it's pretty much obeyign the laws.
  8. http://thereifixedit.com/ has some things you don't see on the other sites... some are pretty good.
  9. hahah. that little ditty. lol
  10. I hope to have something like this in my future. not sure if i'd keep it stock or heavily mod it. (new engine/trans).... pretty poor lighting or that color really sucks. haha
  11. most of the time. also it's noticable sometimes when it sounds harsh, usually when it's not warmed up much yet. but a 3.1 will never sound as pleasurable as a V8
  12. congrats.
  13. i'm a fairly easy sleeper. i love staying in a comfy bed, but i normally get to bed between 11 and 12, and been getting up around 8:30 to 9. sometimes i wake up if i'm too cold or hot, but i have a wide range of comfort in terms of temps.
  14. idiots? hehe looks like those poles not only pushed the car up but also held the back end up so she wasn't crushed.
  15. looks better than the 300C face on this. that is all
  16. i meant i'm fairly certain vegetables aren't directly subsidized...hence why salad seems so expensive compared to beef and other things.
  17. vegetables aren't. only grains... unless you mean the diesel used to harvest such things....
  18. chun li's thighs... they are roughly as wide as her torso. ( fail at posting relevant post )
  19. yes. but i mean it in a way as in gov shouldn't favor or frown on individual companies... today it's welfare, tomorrow it's monopolies. just something to think about.
  20. whether he is pro or against ...it's scary either way.
  21. yes. obviously hard drives are the biggest bottleneck. but with the easy possibility of 12gb for I7 and prolly 16gb soon for most everything... (4gb sticks) just load everything to ram that's needed... and power down the hard drive typically to save more power, and wear. olds does have a point.. 20% of a few watts isn't much. but for laptops, could mean a few extra minutes easily on battery life. eh.
  22. yes. hopefully they learned their lessen with proprietary hardware..... if they did. awesome for us. but still prolly be a year before chip makers use it's advantages in processors, since AMD and intel have moved to on chip mem controllers.
