yes BO and JM's are over 5 years and RP's is only over 1-2 years... but the type of "companies" are interesting

disney spliced cartoon on inflation. lol nice.
  3. ok, but some people will never go to 4's...i was saying that a small 3L v6 would be great for people that want NA power above ~200 hp but not want more ..like how much the 3.6 puts out. i know this thread isn't about eliminating the 6's but seeing what is possible... could the same "argument" be said of europe, sorta... 3's and 5's, why use 4s so much? or go back about 10 years and why not 6's and 12's instead of 8's? i'd love a V8, something around 4L - 5L but a v6 is just what i'm used to and does very well. i don't really have experience driving 4's other than a ~90? corrola 5 speed (carbed).... that hardly counts.
  4. much better than all others i've seen with the grill.

sorry to hear that Stang. NCLB sounds like it's just a collectivist program... you're all Nth grade you should beable to do this..instead of treating them individually. that environment is hurting your mom and the other kids that are actually trying to learn. these type of programs are what will speed our downfall. and make the road back up harder.
  6. like say super volcanoes?...yellowstone?

ron paul after the voting down of the economic resolution.
  8. ugh..just update the GNXs!!! lol if my monte could have a 5speed with a 2.4 / 2.3DI 4 cylinder i'd live with that. the only thing i love about my V6 is the more lower torque, NA 4's just don't putt around at 1500rpm well. since my 3.1 has ~160hp and 170ftlbs. when the 2.4L has more horses and practically the same torque. i know i've said it before, but i think a small 3.x L v6 with 3valves and DI would be a great compromise of MPG and good power...maybe even fit in a delta II?
  9. croc, he was exaggerating on purpose. good for gm. now incorporate it into the commercials.

had? edit: oh, she was the teacher ok, /edit. it's sad that the law requires children to go to school, even these that obviously shouldn't be in the classroom. some children are not fit to be in a school, like your example... yes public education helps many people and maybe society at large, but again, when you can't push ahead in the curriculum because of the "lowest denominator" it hurts everyone that can't be put into "faster learning programs"....and more bureaucracy above the local level can only hurt education at large.

i'm saying income taxes are socialistic. and giving the UN teeth is very dangerous... and another step to world government, and if it's the U.N. way, us little people will have no voice in it. in your example, yes, regulations will be the result of the social hurt 1 person caused, but hopefully that scam would follow that person anywhere they went and would not find work anywhere after that happened. doesn't it show that for education at least?...and therefore the DOE has doubled in size since the clinton years...and a teacher i know has said the new regulations have been very backwards...but she was "teaching" "special" children. infrastructure (roads) i can't say should be privatized, unless it had lots of regulations and oversight...which would still add costs. your second comment could be describing nazi germany.... just as counterpoint.
  12. or the upcoming 2.3L DI for that matter. i'd agree with olds. if it's an everyday car, the 4cyl. if you want the power that's fine, but you may soon wish you got something else. note: i've not driven any gm newer than an 03 buick if i'm thinking correctly.

my sister's car, '99 GA, kinda squeaks turning the wheel, not sure if it's only one direction....but it kinda sounds like plastic rubbing against plastic...soft plastic.

i can almost agree.... it's like saying without the british empire (way back when) we could not have prospered. yes, the world will always try to have a "empire" to lead... but those empires have always fallen. is it good to impoverish oneself to help another? I could never say yes when it comes to more than 1 person making his mind up for himself. cause everyone knows that's what we are doing, nationally and internationally, we just can't agree how to stop it, or how far it should go.

if you were Obama, i don't think things would be as civil around here. among other things. but you being you, keeps here a little uncivil anyway I would agree with that, But i don't think he wants to do that because of Pakistan/Afghanistan.

any and all $$ redistribution that is not voluntary is socialism...other wise it'd be charity.

you mean subsidizing all the countries in the world with our bases on their soil? or the spending of SS money in our regular budget and therefor need ..what is it, several trillion in the future, for SS payments?

i was talking about pakistan. it's that kind of logic that precipitates that end. isn't competition a good thing.... 2 choices are hardly choices at all, esp. this time around. the LOWV used to do all the debates, but since..84?.."they" (not the LOWV) has a stranglehold on what we see/hear at the debates...this is just over regulation killing our country ...again.

even if it leads to war with a nuclear power? weren't we thinking of going to war in iran to prevent them becoming a nuclear power(ed) nation?
  23. um....notchback. just needs a motor, rear glass, exhaust..hm...not sure what else. next time he pulls it out i'll get a pic of it or steal a pic from my parents' pc. his color...the mixed color is called autumn gold, not sure if that's the original name though.
  24. my dad is still working on his 70 supreme... but with a 455 going in it. it's the gold color too, very rare....and not a convertible.

i was saying it in response to the "slick" to the new with the mpg. with the slick, yes the odo will be off, but i was saying that with smaller diameter, your car moves slower at any engine rpm vs a larger tire...making it easier for the engine...and the rotating mass of the tire being less. i wasn't factoring in the odo difference. it should be close to just going a little slower... sorta.
