  1. WOW From the front it looks like a car on Steroids, the side and back still has that traditional minivan look, the front dash is a cut up mess and over all unless you love mini vans, I see nothing pleasing here. The only COOL Feature is the built in Vacuum. Course wonder how often that will break and be asked to be fixed under warranty. Still a market for these beasts, but I will pass.
  2. This car truly puts BMW and MB on notice and says to the world, this is a World Standard Luxury sedan. Comparing this next to current BMW and MB equal models and they look so stale/dated. I do not have the time, but it would be nice to put the same 3/4 front and rear image along with the default basic stats and price in a spreadsheet and post it here as a comparison. My gut tells me that Caddy just smashed the competition with this sedan.
  3. I would pass on this as I have seen others in better condition without the rust for this price range. If you are looking for a cool project and can get them to go lower and the main body and floor is rust free then it would be a solid starting point with it's rare manual. You can pick up decent insulated liners for the inside to really give it a custom look and feel. My gut tells me this is far more rusty than it is showing and it would be a black hole of money before it was done.
  4. So far based on what I have read and seen in pictures I like this car from all sides. I do not like how they keep getting lower and lower to the ground as that really makes it harder for us tall guys to get in and out without doing deep squats all day long. I love the variety of interiors. My Beef, All the NANNY Devices they are incorporating into the auto's. This I feel is still WRONG! Why WRONG you ask, simple. if you do not like to drive, take the freakin bus, taxi or have someone else drive who will pay attention. Having a auto that will try to sense and force you to accept when it brakes, etc I see causing more accidents than preventing. Computers can still not respond as fast as the human brain and I want the auto to do what I want, not what some GOV is telling it to do. If there is no way to turn off these stupid NANNY devices, then my ability to buy newer auto's will come to an end. New auto quality is at it's best ever, but then also is the complete discard it when someone hits you. All this aluminum will tend to cause these cars to be sent to the shredder and I think we will find less and less older auto's on the roads in the future. I agree with Dodgefan, I do think that Caddy has hit this one out of the ballpark. I hope this is a trend that will continue with all new auto introductions from them.
  5. G. David Felt Staff Writer Alternative Energy - CheersandGears.com Since the 90's people in both the public and private sector has stated America needs to have a Solid Energy Plan. One that gets us off the hook to importing oil from other countries and allows us to have a cleaner place to live. A plan that can make things efficient without taking such a huge chunk of money from peoples paycheck. Going back to the first Oil Scare of the 70's and the attempt from American auto companies to supply efficient Pinto's, Mustangs, Camero's, etc., the US has had a Band Aid approach at best to how we deal with our Energy Consumption. Here in the 21st century you find pure electric solutions, hybrid solutions, BioDiesel Solutions, a desire to go more Nuclear and the latest hot interest is to use our World largest deposits of Natural Gas to secure our independence in the form of CNG. T. Boone Pickens who made his billions in Oil has been pushing his own agenda for the last 10 years of CNG (compressed Natural Gas). He also has had a vocal position on America's need for an energy independence plan. Now he proposes his thoughts on America's Strategic Petroleum Reserves. Go to this link, watch his video and sound off on what you think of his stated position / proposition to what some feel is an important American cost, The Strategic Petroleum Reserve. http://www.linkedin.com/today/post/article/20130320194051-27307105-let-s-rethink-the-strategic-petroleum-reserve?trk=eml-mktg-condig-0108-p1 Video only is here: Does what he say make sense for America?

  7. WOW, that is one Sexy Ride!
  8. Or like bee's they just decide to swarm those that think their dead. Course I thought the lovely Impala SS were all gone and now I have seen a bunch of them again.
  9. Nice looking updated ride. I really like the center stack better than the old one. I like Drew dig the fangs on the GS. I actually like the two tone brown interior better than all black. WHY WHY WHY in regards to the 2.4 e-Assist system??? This must be to satisfy some moronic Gov requirement for a hybrid as it is pathetic. If they really wanted to give the Hybrid a jolt, then they should have rolled out the VOLT system on this car. That would have gotten peoples attention. Course better yet would have been to roll out a Volt powertrain CUV for Buick.
  10. Nose is OK, I like the vented Hood and I do like the updated Rear on this, but for me the surprising steal of the 4 cars they showed was the Stingray. It looks way better than what I have seen in pictures.
  11. Basically, yes. But, super quiet is relative. I didn't find the XTS 3.6 to be "super quiet". I find the engine to be a little coarse and the interior noise under acceleration (especially between 1500 and 4000 rpm) to be less refined than in a IS, ES, GS, E-class or 5-series. The 2004 SRX I got my parents seems quitter than the new 2nd Generation SRX from an engine stand point.

  14. Nice but would pass also, gotta be a ram air.

  17. Awesome, I think this is a great product that was a shame to see it die, price is high, but once it is in the low 20's I think it is worth it. Good Luck, this is a cherry of a ride.
  18. Awesome, March Radness Stats: 50" since St. Paddy's day. 15" in last 24hrs, more on the way. 121" base 140" top Gotta love Spring Snow Storms. Heading up this weekend, will grab some pics.

  20. OK, I was going to say BS on the 250,000 output amount but then read the last paragraph where they say demand for jeeps has been rising in Europe. I assume these will get exported as well so that would make sense.
  21. I like what I see visually. Still not sold on these high output V6's and I wonder what the Torque is. I see they pulled a BMW by going with ultra slim wheels on Mega Rims.
  22. Dwight, I am surprised as this is one of your shortest comments and I enjoy reading your technical insight. So other than refinement, what other specific issues would you have with this? I have changed my 94 Suburban from TBI to a FuelInjection which allowed me to convert to CNG so it runs on both and runs very well.
  23. Neons are gone from the Seattle Roads except for one style which is in plenty around here. SRT4 Versions, you see them everywhere along with the STI's. Seems to be the two big camps for racing and getting into trouble.
  24. I agree with you on what I have read about a single larger turbo, what do you think about a twin scroll single turbo? Do you still keep all the efficiencies of a large turbo but have the gain of the small section to keep a wide flat torque with minimal turbo lag? Lot's to learn still on Turbo's, I have always been a supercharger guy. I felt the 3800 SC V6 engine was awesome and still think they should have done this for the ATS, CTS and XTS
