Interesting, I do find there are fellow engineers I work with that love their apple computers and can actually use them to do things, yet most people seem to not be able to do much. I on the other hand will stick with my Linux/unix/windows systems. I do agree I love my andriod phone from Samsung. It is a blast of usefullness. I too will pass on the Prius, not a car that can ever fit me.

But that unfairly penalizes people who rely most on transit: students and low-income earners. Taxes should be levied on drivers. If you choose the luxury to use a car, you pay to subsidize the people who choose not to. Here you clearly hit the nail on the head, These people choose NOT to drive, so they SHOULD pay for their share of riding mass transit. It is NOT my place or any other tax payer who chooses to drive their own private auto due to working hard and saving for it to have to provide transit for others. It is a luxury you earn!

#1 due to being the Cheap Redneck truck of those that seem to not want to demand a nice better truck. They are the Plastics of the Plastic industry. So you prefer the GM interior that gets ragged on over the ford or dodge that most critics put on top? (serious question.) i haven't had first hand experience with all of them so i don't know Nothing wrong w/ GM and Ram interiors...I had a '10 F150 as a rental a couple years ago, the dash was just a bunch of ugly plastic rectangles within rectangles. Cheap, nasty plastics... This I totally agree with GM and Dodge have way better interiors than Ford, the last 30 years and Ford still makes a cheap interior. Even with all the rage on how great the new Mustanges are and yet you sit in one and it has a look and feel of cheapness, you can clearly identify the parts bin parts and worse yet is the bad rust I find on so many engine and driveline components. I have yet to see Ford Quality Job 1 ever on Ford products.

If you have no passion for individual auto's then why be on this board as a moderator or writer? Clearly you would do well with the tree huggers in Portland and the Seirra club. My so called Monster Truck can do far more than anything green or an apple I-Thing. Try going off road, getting over broken roads with no damage, rescuing people in idiot Nissan Leafs or Prius who go up on the pass and get messed up and complain as to why they should have to deal with snow. I could bitch and go on and on, but I will agree to disagree with you as most of your comments seem to be anti Auto's.

Has anyone seen the March issue of Car and Driver with their pictures of the new Viper? If that is what this shadow copy is supposed to look like, I have to say it is BUTT UGLY!!! I do not like it at all. If they want the viper to be like the dodge trucks as a love it or hate it, then they will have succeeded.

Woman and Cars will always drive us crazy, but we can always find awesome analogies to represent them.

i sure wish i could have sexted pictures of my p3nis to a girl i was chasing, or been able to take pictures of naked conquests and send them around to friends when i was younger. you know, the important, meaningful, and culturally valuable things you can do with a cell phone. that, and play games. Zomg I'm sure many people my age wish had the opportunity to do all the culturally valuable things one can do with a car. Y'know, burnouts, guzzling limited resources, polluting the atmosphere, contributing to obesity and asthma in children, vehicular manslaughter... all that fun stuff! A few individuals compared to the millions of sheep driving Toyotas. Oddly, some of the most individualistic and creative people I know drive Toyota's. How is it that technology is making people more conformist? Technology allows people to break away from the mainstream. Technology is democratizing information. Cellphones have enabled people to topple entire regimes. And again, I'm not sure how the automobile made people 'less' conformist. So you drive the same car that a bajillion others do? How very individualistic of you! I am having to chock this up to you being very young. I see NO ONE in the 20's or younger age taking a car and customizing it into a hot rod, roadster, etc. At 44, my freedom is my own nice vehicle that is customized to be me. In this case a 1994 GMC Suburban with a lift kit, 505 HP 551LBS and yes I am happy with my 11 miles to a gallon. People who see it know it is a suburban, but very different than others and that is the individualist that is missing from the youth today. If you are under 30, you seem to all have Apple Crap I this, I that. No Idea how to actually work hard and perform both manual labor and Critical thinking skills. Youth of today seem to have no time to assist others or respect to elders. Yes as a computer engineer, I know I have contributed to many changes, yet I also am shocked by the youth of today that feel entitled and complain about not getting their way. Youth also seem to be out of touch with this whole Everyone must pay for mass transit. Fact is that Transportation is a luxury you earn, not a Right. Just like cell phones, internet, cars, etc are all luxuries you earn, not a right. Nothing stopping people from walking to work, ridding a bike, etc. Many ways to get around, depends on how much you make and how much you save. Mass transit should always have been about offering a break even pay for itself transportation option for lower income people and those who do not like to drive. It should never have been about taxing those who make more to give transportation to those that choose or cannot afford it. My attitude is, work hard, save up and respect your elders and listen rather than blabber as you just might learn something.

Usually you and I see eye to eye on most auto's except here I have to disagree, I like the Terrain allot and hated the old Acadia, glad to see this as their new DNA and look forward to it being put onto the Yukon and Terrain. Love the head lights. -

Scarlet Swordfish you have hit it on the head, their styling leaves tons to be desired. -
BOOOOOOOOOOO This is the WRONG WAY to go with the Terrain!!! They should have it all Black Chrome and add a turbo to the engine so you have a Terrain Typhoon. Not only are they diluting the Denali luxury by putting it on everything, they are making cookie cutters of the same just about in all sizes. Not happy with this at all. Stupid Mgmt decision. The Terrain is for a younger crowd and should be more hip than the luxury Denali package IMO.

Take the Transit and support america, we have seen this and nothing big deal to pay attention to. -
As long as Transit is unresponsive to the needs of the people, cost the tax payers to support rather than charge a proper price to the riders, Transit can die. In seattle, no different than any other large city, bus fares should be about $5 one way. The fact is the riders should pay enough to cover the cost of the buses, fuel, employees, repairs, insurance. If you choose to not drive and take mass transit, then expect to pay, $50 a week, $10 a day, $5 one way. Mass Transit should be Non-Profit break even cost structure. Most mass transit systems rely on all tax payers to pay for it when most do not use it. I see and understand the need for mass transit in the cities and non poluttion auto's, but for most people who like to live away from the cities, they should not have to pay for someone elses transportation. We pay for our Auto's, the auto insurance, gas and maintenance. Then people think everyone should pay for mass transit that is used by a much smaller group. Before anyone bashes me, My new job is in Downtown Seattle. By Choice I ride the bus as it is a 30 min commute time versus 1hr and expensive parking garages if I drive my car. I still feel the bus fare is too cheap and must be raised to cover the costs without increasing tax's.

I will have to test fit myself if it is really that big, last I tried to fit was at the seattle auto show a couple years back and I had to be reclined when I lke to sit straight up and you are right, no one could sit behind me. I will say that the pictures show a much nicer, masculine dash than the female dash it used to have.

Chrysler News: Spying: Chrysler 100 Hatchback
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chrysler
From what I see, it is still an ugly rebadge of the ugly Fiat's. Fiat I think will not make it in the US. They can try all they want, but their auto offering is still way to European for the US and way to small. This on top of the fact that I have not seen one that I thouht was quality built and the few sold in the seattle market seem to spend plenty of time in the shop for repairs. Their owners are looking to see what they can trade them in for. -
Now my wife would take one if she could get it in AWD with the Diesel option.
-
Looks much better than the original chick car, but for us 6'6" tall guys, the nterior is still way too small. Thanks, but will pass and stay with my SUV.

From 1983 to 1987 I worked for a chain call Pizza Haven here in the Seattle Area as a shirft manager in charge of deliveries. We had Chevy full size truck that had Hot Propane powered box's in the bed and the tank while huge as it filled the rest of the bed was also used to power the propane v8 engines. Those trucks were clean and really moved. I never had a problem driving them an it was easy to just drive up to a gass station and have them fill up the big tank. We need this option in vehicles but instead of having to open a trunk or get into the bed of a truck, should have the propane fill noze right where the gas tank filler is usually kept. I fail to see why they could not do this and get clean burning propane tanked auto's on the street now.
