  1. Well they put a set of kidneys on an Equinox and gave it better ride and handling and I bought one. No it isn't as exciting as a Solstice. But there are people who want a slighty sporty and less common car and don't want a Chevy or a Buick. Whomever said Olds isn't missed should be shot. I would have loved to seen the next gene Alero as it was a great looking car for the time ('99) and a new gen Aurora. As long as a G3 with a sporty ride and handling help make it not exactly that same as the Aveo with minor styling tweaks I have no problem. Do we really wonder why the Camry and Impala have been best sellers? Each are realivtely boring cars (especially) the Camry, because they work for what most peoples needs are and get decent fuel economy. I think a RWD G8 Series and Solstice with a FWD G6, G5 (with GXP trim) and a Vibe, Torrent and G3 could make for a very nice line-up and an slightly sportier alternative to Chevrolet. Go ahead and scream at me. I know I don't get it but I understand what the mainstream public want, and Pontiac dealers want, ever wonder even though Aztek was ugly why they got a Torrent that is accounts for some 30K sales that I doubt would go to the Equniox if Pontiac didn't have the Torrent... Because dealers wanted a small V6 powered crossover from Pontiac to sell. I know you want unique cars from them but blame greedy Saturn for getting the Sky (never should have happend) and most people who buy a G8 won't even know the car came from Holden or even what Holden is. They can be sucessful like the line-up I said previously... Now go bitch at me please.
  2. $h! I like it more than the sedan. So is the non-DI 3.6 going away and a 3.0L DI and a 3.6L DI going to be the only engine options aside of the V8 is the CTS-V. If so that is a great idea with gas going up.
  3. I feel bad for the guy. He wasn't showing anything top-secret that the public hasn't seen. He just wanted to show his kids. I don't think they should fire him I feel bad for the poor bastard becauase I enjoyed getting a look at the new Camaro. GM needs to get out pre-production photos already. *Dip-$h!s...*
  4. GMs current ads are better than they were say 10 years ago. But in the 60's and 70's GM could make any car even a boring six cylinder Tempest Safari look cool. That is what they need to get back too. And as for the Chevelle ad that is amazing and clever. I don't like all of Pontiac's new ads but some are okay I still like the "We Build Excitement" hell in the late 80's GM made me drool over the 88-91 Bonneville SSE which I want to own someday to put next to my SLE. Need I remind you how boring of a car the SSE was a V6 powered large sedan good looking for the time yes and lots of cool gizmos. The one that sticks with me is the one where it is driving across the Bonneville salt flats and goes into the song... "This place and this car. Get on your Pontiac and ride Pontiac ride. We build excitement Pontiac ride." that was a commercial. I like the new DTS commercials on Caddy's website FYI. Check 'em out they are pretty cool.
  5. Huge improvement in the front and in the rear. I hope the interior is better and it would be a great sports coupe.
  6. I think the Volt is cool but I really don't care at this point. Gas is still under 5.00 a gallon and I wouldn't be caught dead in a full-hybrid greenie moblie like this. But for GM's image this is wonderful and I am excited to see Prius buyers flock to this sucker. Go get 'em boys the full-hybrid market still has a door open and you name can be on it. Just don't screw this one up. (GM has done that before!)
  7. I have long said GM needs a balance of RWD and FWD products. With the DI V6 and the 2.9D they have no excuse not to offer a Park Ave state-side. Hell take the one sold in China right now spruce if up a bit and for all I care shove the 3.6L DI in it and I would consider one. *(used)* This is stupid I think Buick should have/can have... Small Car Skylark (FWD or RWD), Midsize LaX/Invicta (FWD), Large/Premium (New FWD/AWD DTS/Lucerne), Flagship Park Ave (from China), and the Enclave. I wouldn't be mad if the Park Ave got sold stateside and an exclusive product was canceled that was being developed for the US. But this is silly, with all the technology and near 50/50 weight distribution and AWD with the new engine technology this is something they don't nor will have an excuse for. So where is my new Pontiac G6? And G5/Cobalt? Von your right the DTS is a drop dead sexy car but I like it in White Diamond. That or an STS in Crimson Red.
  8. Good idea on renting a Turd. I wouldn't be caught dead in a new Turd they are ugly and discrease to a "green" company like Toyota. As for the bucket size good idea.
  9. The 4.8 acutally gets worse fuel economy than the 5.3. They are based on the same basic block and are not truly two different motors. Plus how much good would it do?
  10. That is too funny.
  11. Another good idea. I am going to talk to my nephew he might have one that I could use.
  12. Saw a 2008 Cadillac XLR-V while I was in my buddies Sierra the other day. Also saw my second G8 GT in gray at a local home in a ritzy old neighbor-hood, they also have an M3.
  13. I would take an Aveo anyday over the ugly Yaris... I would only currently get sedan, not the 5 door I'd wait for the new one.
  14. I'd go with the '88 Caddy, Trans Am or the sweet and very rare 76 LeMans 400ci/Turbo 400 Combo that is a slick car.
  15. Guy sounds like a dick. If you ask me. I hope you still took the van out of the yard.
  16. Well I ordered it. Hope I like it.
  17. That isn't a bad idea actually.
  18. Well gee thanks my wife is sick of them. The gravel around them is getting old and dated. The gravel and trim go around the whole house and it is getting very beat up looking plus it is 13 years old.
  19. Okay the time has come I have been promising myself some sort of real GPS for my rides but have kept waiting till prices come down. Well after much thought I am seriously considering a Garmin Nuvi 650. Anyone have any thoughts? Experince with one? Or feel free to suggest something different but I think I am prolly getting a Garmin. I have a Garmin E-Trex for hiking and biking and just love it. I have owned it for about 4 years and it has been on many a trip out west. So feel free to chime in.
  20. No I checked with the wife that is what they are. Good job Camino, maybe I'll try to scare up a truck or a back-hoe.
  21. Okay here are the bushs attached in a photo so you can take a look. There are lots of little ones. But only two large ones like whats on the right. Thanks Camino again for all the help...
  22. Let me get a photo up later today. I am working now or suppose to be at least...
  23. Camino that is great news. I can't wait...
  24. So you wouldn't try it Camino? Well I have time to make my mind up just wondering. I honestly don't what to do it is split forum.
  25. Thats what I meant just order then like an acc. or get 'em off another one.
