1. And they have been cracking on power plants. That’s the point that Mr. Anti-EV does not get while talking about cows and other non-related crap. There have been efforts almost accross the board to reduce CO2, yet he says “why bother” just because of his half baked hang up of EVs. The horse and buggy industry would be proud of him. Oh wait. They don’t exist anymore.
2. Newsflash, you can’t control the CO2 emissions of living creatures. You can with everything else. What is amsuing is the “well there’s all the other sources of pollution so why bother with cars?” argument. It’s amusing and foolishly ignorant. And yes, say hello to the horse and buggy industry while you fight the obvious evolution of technology.
3. Where is this fantasy planet that doesn’t have regulations? And your last paragraph sound like the words of the horse and buggy business over a century ago. Say hello them.
4. Oh good picky lord. Just read the explanation given by Casa before slamming the design. It obviously wasn’t done that way just for nothing. We are not talking about a 94 Civic where is looks like a damn bi plane in reverse. I personally think the Benz spoiler looks worse than on the Vette simply because it doesn’t go with the rest of the cars design. Same complaint, different car.
5. The bias was not for you and looks part is purely subjective since they are two totally different cars in two different price brackets. I’m not crazy about the spoiler but it does serve a function and the rest of the car looks sharp to me as opposed to the stretched out 911 profile of the Benz. Just my opinion though.
6. Benz bias kicking in there because it looks every bit as “tacky” as the Vette, which is pulled almost straight off of the racing Vette. See my above response and add this. The green model does not have an adjustable spoiler but this one does.
7. Just stop with the damn trolling and GO hug yourself because you have some obvious shortcomings with all your pointless diatribes about EVs.
8. I was never on the hook. I offered the explanation as a courtesy. I owe trolls nothing.
9. The key word in that is “before”. It hasn’t in years and doesn’t look to change that anytime soon. And I don’t care about global sales (especially since the Slade is not sold outside of the US) or your damn bar moving. You made a silly point about the GLS and space and I countered it with facts.
10. Yeah, just leave out the fact that you can get a longer Escalade with far more cargo room. Btw, that jumps to 120.9 cubic feet while the Slade continues to outsell the GLS Uh oh indeed.
11. Just stop the bull$h! OCN. We get it. You think EVs suck while you parade around in a POS Jeep. Honestly, just take a flying leap. BTW, my reasons for not having one are quite simple. I’m selling my house soon and don’t want to take on extra debt genius. It has zero to do with the car itself. Grow the f@#k up.
12. Funny you bring up the ELR. I actually saw one on the way to work this morning and up close, it is a sharp little car. Shame that is was doomed to fail from the start becuase of a much too high price tag and only two doors (which doesn’t bother me but I see the issue there). A gently used one would be a nice addition to my driveway.
13. “When you’re trying to up your trolling game”^^
14. And the Escalade outsells them all but the Navigator is really it’s closest competitor (and will be cheaper than the Slade) so this move makes more sense than worrying about the next overpriced Benz.
15. I don’t have a horse in the Pushrod vs. DOHC race. I think its pretty dumb to argue about it personally. What I do know is that GM has been working on a DOHC V8 that seems destined for some version of the Vette, most likely the mid-engine model (assuming that actually happens) but it would not surprise me to see it in the ZR1 here.
16. Not the point. Your post implies that there is NO reason to own one because there have been no advancements made, whether its the cars themselves or the EV infrastructure (both of which would be a lie btw). Your whole stance on this is just trolling 101 without meter or basis of simple facts. I know for a fact that a pure EV, would do wonders for my daily commute. Just never having to stop in a $h!hole gas station is a plus for me, so yes it is at a point where an EV is EASIER to own than an ICE car, FOR ME. And why you felt the need to make this personal, with your first line, is beyond me. Stick to the subject for which you are so fond of trolling.
17. Yes because nothing has surely changed over the last five years nor will they ever </obvious sarcasm> Seriously. Where do you come up with this $h!?
18. Maybe you should review the word “context” before throwing out accusations of “political talk”. This down vote brought to you by a one sided lack of context.
19. You echoed my sentiments entirely there Drew. Why some ignore the history and bigger picture here is beyond me.
20. Very true but the end of subsidies for big oil would lead to increased prices at the pump as well.
