GMC News: GMC Considers Whether It Should Do An Electrified Sierra
Maybe you should ask them but I am willing to bet that Tesla already has a fair number of repeat buyers. I see what you’re saying but what you are suggesting involves a crystal ball. My theory is that once EVs become mainstream, there will be lower cost options, just like there are with ICE autos. To add to that point, I will say that it’s not like ICEs have been all that affordable over the last few decades. Sorry but when Civics option out over $30K, we have a problem that is much bigger than whether EVs can compete.

Chicago 2019: 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition: Comments
Again, I’m not debating that. I did some part time work last year at a Chevy dealership and got a lot of time behind the wheel of several Colorado’s. They ride nice, sit comfortably, and have some nice engine options (for once) but it is hard to put a chink in the armor of the Tacoma because even if the Colorado is better, it’s not like the Tacoma is totally slacking off. Tacoma owners are a loyal bunch as well and their word of mouth has helped keep the Tacoma ahead in sales for years. I’m convinced of that fact.

We will just completely sidestep the fact that one of those “rotting vines”, the Tacoma, is still the best selling mid-size truck by a mile and was just redesigned a few years ago (the 4Runner also continues sell like hot cakes despite the rise of CUVs). It’s sales numbers NEVER wavered but yet SMK can’t apply his G-Wagon “logic” to Toyota. Fanboy logic 101.

Says the fan of the recently updated, after four decades, G-Wagon. Even if money were no object, I’d still take a Land Cruiser over any G-Wagon. Even if their looks are a little dated, they are still built like tanks and will literally run forever with normal maintenance. I see someone beat me to the punch lol.

GMC News: GMC Introduces the 2020 Sierra Heavy Duty
Well, it definitely looks the part of heavy duty. It also looks far better than the Silverado HD but then again the Silvi is the most hideous looking pick up in a world still occupied but the Nissan Titan.

That and folks are being a little sensitive over it just because its about Henry Ford. Yes, Ford deserves are the credit in the world for helping bring the automobileto the masses. He also deserves the blame for being an anti-Semite. Those are just facts and nothing to get all too sensitive over.

A bunch of stickers is one thing (and too much IMO) but this guy clearly has a hard on for reflectors! They were all over his car.

Cadillac News: Cadillac CT6: I'm Not Dead Yet (For U.S.)
You couldn’t find a better example of a two tone paint job? That looks like an aftermarket job done in someone’s garage with 20 cans of Krylon 2 in 1. Even this photoshop job looks better than that (and yes to a CT8 variant like this). Sorry but the others are right regarding the MB front ends. When one has to look around the side to tell the difference between a $30K CLA and an $120K S-Class, that is not a good thing. The Cadillac’s at least look distinctive in that department, much more so the Benz (for now anyway). If you’re going to go two tone, at least do it right.

Detroit 2019: 2020 Kia Telluride: Comments
surreal1272 replied to William Maley's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Makes the XT6 look that much worse. RWD would be nice but this is a huge step up for Kia and will sell very well I believe.

Detroit 2019: 2020 Cadillac XT6: Comments
surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)The rear 1/4 of it honestly looks like an afterthought, like it was just slapped on there. I’ll take the Art and Science approach over this any day. That’s how unattractive this thing is.

Detroit 2019: 2020 Cadillac XT6: Comments
surreal1272 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)In a word, disappointing. (FWD AND only the 3.6L, that is available on almost everything GM offers). An AWD only TT V6 would change this perception. In another word, uninspiring (boring design). Too plain on the outside and the interior gets spanked by “lesser” CUVs (think Mazda CX-9). That is all I have for yet another CUV that does nothing for me (Not CUV does, in fairness).

Cadillac News: Cadillac to be Center of GM's EV Push
Any new tech, especially EV tech, should start with Cadillac. This is a wise move by GM. I just hope they don’t neglect the ICE side of things.
