    Well, it definitely looks the part of heavy duty. It also looks far better than the Silverado HD but then again the Silvi is the most hideous looking pick up in a world still occupied but the Nissan Titan.

    That and folks are being a little sensitive over it just because its about Henry Ford. Yes, Ford deserves are the credit in the world for helping bring the automobileto the masses. He also deserves the blame for being an anti-Semite. Those are just facts and nothing to get all too sensitive over.

    A bunch of stickers is one thing (and too much IMO) but this guy clearly has a hard on for reflectors! They were all over his car.

    You couldn’t find a better example of a two tone paint job? That looks like an aftermarket job done in someone’s garage with 20 cans of Krylon 2 in 1. Even this photoshop job looks better than that (and yes to a CT8 variant like this). Sorry but the others are right regarding the MB front ends. When one has to look around the side to tell the difference between a $30K CLA and an $120K S-Class, that is not a good thing. The Cadillac’s at least look distinctive in that department, much more so the Benz (for now anyway). If you’re going to go two tone, at least do it right.

    Makes the XT6 look that much worse. RWD would be nice but this is a huge step up for Kia and will sell very well I believe.

    The rear 1/4 of it honestly looks like an afterthought, like it was just slapped on there. I’ll take the Art and Science approach over this any day. That’s how unattractive this thing is.

    In a word, disappointing. (FWD AND only the 3.6L, that is available on almost everything GM offers). An AWD only TT V6 would change this perception. In another word, uninspiring (boring design). Too plain on the outside and the interior gets spanked by “lesser” CUVs (think Mazda CX-9). That is all I have for yet another CUV that does nothing for me (Not CUV does, in fairness).

    Any new tech, especially EV tech, should start with Cadillac. This is a wise move by GM. I just hope they don’t neglect the ICE side of things.

    Even though the summers are brutal at times, it is better than the cold, for me. The cold and I have not been on speaking terms for years as it likes to beat the living hell out of my body.

    Again, not saying that at all. Why is constantly being misread? My original post was about complainers whining about the lack of engine noise from an EV when you already have a sizable portion of ICE cars that are quiet as a tomb from the inside and lack any emotional involvement from the driver.

    Obviously I’m taking liberty with the numbers here but the fact is that the overwhelming majority do not care about an exhaust note. The sheer number Accords, Camrys, and CUVs sold every year should give that away.

    Oh good grief. You are missing the bigger point here. Regardless of what I like, 99.8% of drivers out there don’t give two $h!s how loud a car is and would rather opt for quiet comfort in this age of loudness (and no I am not talking about just cars here). As such, making an argument about the lack of a V8 growl is not enough to dismiss the many benefits of an EV. It’s that simple. And most four bangers are not worth listening to unless your into weed eater sounds.

    It is a weak excuse given that even ICE cars like the Mustang have sound replicators blaring through your stereo speakers because the engines are so throroughly sound deadened. It’s also weak because the same people who were saying this drove little four banger cars. These days whenever I hear that racket in a parking lot (or down the street from my house on a daily basis), I just wish they’d shut the hell up. Exactly and the 1% does not nor has it ever dictated advancements like this and it’s not going to start today.

    @ccap41—Care to explain the problem with my last post? I have literally heard those words said by folks who hate EVs (not just here) so I’m curious as to rationale here.

    So what? Guess when they add tow trucks to the EV program, you will just have yet another reason to hate and troll EVs.
