  1. well all i can say is sales are starting to pick up for us...
  2. OnlyGM... would make something great and destroy it...
  3. they know their results are biased because they do not reflect the market share... their subscribers are people like my dad who will never consider an american made vehicle. although he bitches and complains because toyota doesnt make a full size truck so he uses a V10 F350... so far no problems... i dont think... but i'm sure he remembers every problem very vividly where as he forgot many of the problems on the toyotas he owns...
  4. well... I must interceed here and give my opinion... if I had to pic between a 3 series a C class, a A4 or any of those you mentioned... I'd have to go with the CTS... although i have never compared between the models... my friend used to have a 318, granted thats the worse one they ever made... it was a nice car but it was built like a tank... that car was over 4k pounds... the C-Class... thats europes taxi... those things have roll up windows and such... the A4... thats an exepnsive VW Jetta and the styling sucks... one of my co workers has an A4... it sucks... hopefully the sigma II CTS will be class leading, but for now I'd like to think that the CTS we have fits into the sceme of things...
  5. it doesnt sound silly to me... many people want fwd... and many people want rwd... and those people live on opposite sides of the country... for winter conditions people dont want rwd... but many people in those winter conditions would prefer awd over fwd anyway... so allowing awd to be an option totally fixes the problem... with traction control & stablitrac (wich my car doesnt have, but doesnt really need... stablitrac is traction with a roll over sensor) i've never had a problem in the rain here in Los Angeles on my 02 trans am... where as on my 94 firebird I got myself facing traffic a few times...
  6. Consumer Reports is by no means Bias... their subscribers are... and their subscribers are the only ones that get sent surveys... if i was completely satisfied with my vehicle... say vehicle X from manufacture A... and Consumer told me, that every vehicle from manufacture A falls apart as soon as you take delivery, would i continue to endorse this company? no i'd just take my own experiance as the truth. almost everyone when they purchase a new vheicle gets sent a survey from JD Powers... about 3 months after purchasing... a lot of our customers tell me when they receive the JD surveys... ohh also JD reports how many vehicles were used to show reliablity... posted right on our HD silverados it says they are the most dependable heavy duty trucks and over 50k surveys (from silverado HD owners) were used to suggest that claim.
  7. ahh... i didnt know we still had that guy... haha... sorry
  8. it doesnt matter about consumer reports its perception... and truth... what lori said is all true regaurding how they dont inform the subscriber as to how they got their result... as to why which vehicles have half filled dots red or black dots... they dont inform the consumer as far as how many vehicles were used to make the reliablity factor.
  9. it was my understanding from the video i watched that they designed it to not accomidate the v8's size on purpose...
  10. it makes me happy to work for GM when i see that... i want to download that onto my phone... haha i enjoy watching that comercial... just as much as the next simpsons episode or anything else... really liked it... haha i've seen it over 10 times now since my discovery
  11. i saw a black one coming at me the other day on a long straight surface street... and i was like... what is that? a viper? thats not a ferrari is it? as it go closer i was like ohh my Josh! thats a Z06!
  12. and being praised for such actions is also what needs to follow... if things like that go unnoticed they sometimes think perhaps it was unwarented... but this was definatly a good thing and i'd like to see more things in the future to defend the General and to finnally start making a difference in the world...
  13. ummm one thing to mention... Bob lutz said that a V8 would not fit in the Enclave... on a side note... he also said a v8 wouldnt fit in the solstice
  14. ohh ive seen worse...
  15. even if rick was doing some good, wouldnt it be financially unsafe to give him the boot? i mean, what would happen to share prices? what would happen to production lines? what would happen to future production that lutz is working so hard for? what would happen to engeneering and innovation that is becoming a foothold for a turnaround? what would happen to things like GMAC? or Hummer & Saab? would better management save those things we love the most? pontiac and buick? would a different CEO do positive things or would they be as bad as the CEO that preceded Wagoner? is change really a good thing right now, or are things going good right now?
  16. why cant they do advertisement with that kind of presentation and excitement...
  17. no i like the two tone interiors... the black seats with tan dash... or the grey seats with the black dash... or something like that... it is really amazing... what kind of light can do...
  18. CLICK HERE! haha, its on GM's website... its cool and exciting... i wish sometimes GM would advertise all their brands in one spot... put that commercial on tv...
  19. what would change? well for good or worse, no one really knows... people in factories would be confused... but Wagoner isnt the only problem... look at the board of directors... the only one of them that seems to have been successful at anything is york... sure GM has stemed plenty of losses last year, but look at GM from 2000 to now... now look at Nissan from 99 to now... at one point they said the CEO of Nissan was one of the most powerful men in the automoive industry, but the quality of Nissans has gone through the floor... now that i look at GM... i think perception is starting to turn... people are starting to look to GM... GM's newest launch of progams is helping... lowered sticker prices... total value... J.D.P.&A. is starting to confirm quality, and even Consumer is starting to give reliable check marks... here goes to what analysts say...
  20. right now i want a chevrolet kodiak... woot... crew cab 4500 6.6 deisel with a alyson with an air ride.. woot im there... i can haul around my f-bodies...
  21. hes right... at WOT, from a stand still... you look at instant fuel ecconomy and it sits at V8 and 0mpg... now you go full throttle, and it might be 1 or 2 mpg v8 mode... and until you get to about 30 mph, it stays under 5mpg... (but thats at WOT) when you get past 30mph it start to climb up to about 8-9 or so at high speeds... and it'll settle down pretty good as soon as you lay off the gas... this new tahoe i dont remember if i had got it to break into 3 digits for fuel ecconomy... if i did, it was mid 130's... for some reason 134 is sticking... but i dont remember to be honnest.. but i remember trying... but it might have been in the impala that i got 3 digits...
  22. haha, i love G6's i really do... but today i had a sad finding, that my head does not fit through the driver window... while i was driving one around our lot and trying to park it... i was trying to look at the curb... so down goes the window and boom i hit my head on the ceilind and my chin... owch, didnt think cars were that small, thats one thing i love about my trans am... hell i can get in and out through the window and i have before but the G6's are way better the the camrys, and the malibus are a bit more like appliances do to styling... but both the G6 and malibus are much more fun to drive... personnally i would own a malibu or a G6 if i was in that market because they are nice cars great drive and they are confident... where as the camry really isnt that confident... haha on a side note, since working at my dealership, i realized something new has topped my list of most importants on a new car... it must have a leather wrapped steering wheel... because i have to use two hands in turns if its not leather wrapped... stupid plastic steering wheels...
  23. well now they can get G6's and cobalts... maybe lucerns if they are really extravagent... but... comon man, the reasons are deaper then poor quality cars... or seas of grey... i love my interior on my trans am... everything has a porpose and its nicely possitioned... not that i wouldnt take a new HHR's HVAC or a new Tahoe... but to be honnest i love my radio, and my a/c knobs, i love my gauges, i love my huge dash board... there isnt a damn thing that i dont like about my car, except maybe that it would dispose of my trash for me... and maybe... these people are writting these stories for who knows what reason...
  24. if you set the cruise and watch the information center you will see your fuel ecconomy, and trust me if you are going 65, you will see better then 22 on the highway... that is with the 2wd model... as far as i've tested, it bounces between about 24 and about 30 when its in v8 and v4 mode... at least when you are going 65 or so... if there is an incline, the v8 mode might dip to around 18 or so... but if the cruise is set, you'll receive great fuel ecconomy. at least from what the information center has told me.
  25. how much smaller was the SUV over the full size vans they replaced? will these be the next caraze?
