  1. not to me... the original tucker was a lot taller then that... also it was a 4door...
  2. wow... this could get pretty intresting... there is a clause in the delphi spin off, that would give GM certain assets of Delphi should it go bankrupt. in exchange GM would be liable to pay for some of the pensions and healthcare benifits for spun off employees... I wonder what kind of assets GM is elegable for...
  3. link to article
  4. does this mean no strike for delphi?
  5. the site doesnt seem to work very often for me at all... and a lot of times the site times out... a lot of times i cant complete my post, i type it up and i click submit post and it says cannot find site, i click back and no more writting
  6. why would it not be profitable? say it costs Cadillac lets just say 50 million to design all 3 models which is a very slim budget... that means that some how, over the lifetime of the product, they must re-earn that 50 million in development costs in their Super V series... sure because these cars will be on the cover of every magazine, it will help sell other cadillacs... but how many extra vehicles will need to be sold to cover the costs of that original investment? because making 1k CTS's isnt going to cut it... selling maybe 750 STS's inst going to fund it... and another 750 XLR's just isnt going to bring in that extra 50 million is this Super Cadillac going to share any development costs of the blue devil? if so then i think its wise to have multipule vehicles to share the same developments on...
  7. looks similar to the BLS...
  8. sounds more like a used car then a 14k$ car... heck even a 14k$ car shouldnt be leaking oil after 10k miles...
  9. i think a lot of that has to do with york...
  10. well GM must look at it from a profitablity stand point... will a front page compo on every magazine bring enough attention to cadillac dealerships to fund such "super" technology, because any sort of Super car wouldnt afford itself under most production levels of exhotic cars... the CTS-V is not all that super in my eyes, its a great daily driver for someone who likes rwd, manual transmission, power, and versitility(sedan) but if they made a sedan that was 500+ hp... would the market really be more then 1k units per year? if that? and for the XLR? the 469 hp v-series is already gonna have trouble hitting 1k units with a sticker price of 100k would a sticker price of 120-150k really sell all that many more units? V-12? 600hp? what about a DTS-V? that could sell at least 3k a year or more... why focus on V super when not all models are even V-series? isnt the DTS supposed to be the flag ship?
  11. and one thing i noticed... is they are just selling the real estate portion... not the automotive sector... so they still have power to give 0% or what not...
  12. interesting to see the responses... hrmmm wonder how that growing pains are doing
  13. this might be a good thing... york wouldnt have done it unless 1.) Kirk benifited, and 2.) it was a financially good decision. what this allows gm to do, is get a better day to day intrest rate on their operating costs, cutting the cost further of production... its not a bad thing or it wouldnt have been done... there was a reason GM had a bad credit rating... and now it should be fixed
  14. nice find... thats just lazy GM for you... cant clean up all of their advertising
  15. looks like that kia amanti to me... but its got different tail lights... maybe a concept version of the amanti or next generation?
  16. umm... "they sucked"? vrs i'm not seeing your point... vrs also improved ride, handling... refined exterior thinner gaps between body pannels, less road noise... better fuel ecconomy better capablitys on and off road.. The new Tahoes are the best full size SUV on the market, excluding other GM vehicles.
  17. haha reminds me of a kia... lol it looks like a wanna be rolls royce... and its got a dash of an 80's buick...
  18. honnestly... i think its a fantastic deal... if Delphi were to strike for more then a few days, GM would burn through much more then that bail out amount...
  19. the 3-5 billion comes from the individuals that are already retired... they used to work for GM before they spun delphi off...
  20. to add to that
  21. how much did GM pay to get the Cadillac Cien in Islands?
  22. well i know with the new ones, you can change the computer to go in Kph instead of Mph, but its still on the same face... and it can get kinda confusing if it gets switched on you...
  23. didnt you see the GMC concept at the auto show... lol if i was going to purchase a million dollar motor home... it would have been that...
  24. the only thing lutz is trying to do is win back the trust of people like my father, that religiously purchase what they think is a quality car... and my dad had one chevette and no other GM vehicle and was so pissed off... never again will he purchase
  25. yea... i'm still thinking about picking up an 05 if i can... they have some killer rebates and if i can pick one up for GMS... haha it would be probably high 20's
