my favortie was ZR1.... but the new Z06... is probably a new winner

my old employer always told me "I'd rather have a small store and a big business, then a big store and a small business." it was a nice little shop and straight outa highschool i was making 30k a year... but that was about capped working 54 hours a week... but it was fun while it lasted

yea i've seen 2 trucks that had broken their cables prior to working at my new job... but of course that was in the livestock business... and anything can happen in that enviornment...
-
but realistically... if they are trying to get a new fuel into development... today, and 10 years from now, they want to try again to do a full switch... financially when will the gas stations catch up to the cost of the first investment?

haha... i win this forum... okay here are some ideas... While navigation is nice... it would also be nice in my opinion (living in the metropolitan area of Los Angeles) to know the average speed of the freeways you are planning to use? this information is avalible online prior to leaving your home, but it would be nice to see it on your navigation screen... hows that for an idea? and another thing i've always tried to imagine how it would work, but i never could quite engeneer it up, but engine with a viable displacement... i.e. the stroke can increase or decrease to adjust to operation needed... when crusing you dont need the same power you do getting off the line... just a thought... ummm another thought I had was to some how have a holagram gauge cluster on the steering wheel instead of having it on the dash, so instead of having to move the gauge cluster from one side to another with oposite driving styles... i guess a heads up display type thing but in between the area on the steering wheel... lol its kind of an off the wall suggestion... haha a car that could wash itself? a hybrid motor that was powered by a sterling or external combustion engine i.e. exhaust... haha... i've got to get some sleep but theres a few things off the top of my head...

they arent the best fuel savers in the world... it depends on your intentions... if your goals are to use as little fuel as you can, they may help, but realistically driving styles play a bigger role in acheiving better fuel ecconomy, that is one thing the prius banks on... there is no financial reason to purchase a hybrid... they just will never recoupe the cost, at least the japansese ones that have a 4-5k$ premium... it would take somewhere around 7 years of driving 12-15k miles per year to recoupe the lost cost of the hybrid in fuel saving, while durring those 7 years you are likely to have other hybrid related problems making the investment worse...

Well I was just reading GM.com's news page to realize they are really pushing for vehicles to use Ethonal. General Motors Promotes Greater E85 Consumer Awareness, Use In Minnesota and I started to think. In order to dispense Ethonal a Gas station would require new tanks and new fuel lines. Everything would need to be renewed for the different fuel. So this could cost several thousand if not hundreds of thousands per station. For how long would this fuel sorce be in use, if GM suspects Fuel Cells are on the horizon? How many years will the gas station have to make pennys per gallon to pay off this fuel switch? will the investment be worth while, if after 5-10 years we are trying to switch again? I hope GM thinks things out correctly. has anyone thought about the problems with switching to E85 for the long term of the gas stations?

thats the beauty of having the GMC-Pontiac-Buick merger... its all one dealer, so it doesnt really need to have all three with full lines... -
he's right... and there isnt anything anyone can do about it... what we need is a globalization leader... because its a serious problem for our way of life...
-
lol since york has joined man... GM has saved several billion already...

this guy is focusing on suv's and trucks... GM already dominates that market... cars is really where GM has lost market share...if GM could build attractive cars, and cars people wanted... GM would be just as good as it was back in the day... but GM has forgot about the cars... -
how much volume could the zeta accually create... okay... lets think... if the camaro can keep up with 120k sales... if the impala is zeta sedan which i thought it was going to be a stretched epsilon II... but even if the impala was zeta... lets say it maintains its volume of 300k a year or so... would the pontiac Grand Prix, get renamed as a G8 as its also transfered onto the zeta platform? how many does that name sell? maybe 100k? so we are looking at between 3 name playes 500-550k units? the plant has a capacity of how much?
-
but why not build all zeta architecture under one facility...
-
did you see the clip of the guy who was racing his 4th gen vette and crashed at like 170mph, somehow flew out of the car, and landed on his feet and kept running...
-
but Lutz said Camaro wouldnt be built in Canada...
-
brakes lasting longer? well you have to get the car up to speed before you can really do some wear and tear on them... and i for one will replace my brakes as often as i need to because i love the way i drive... but realistically to compare someone like me to someone like my dad (a happy toyota owner) and realize why the brakes or tires dont last as long... haha maybe its all that press on the brakes and the gas at the same time

Then GM should take it away from them, and adjust the invoice price to make the vehicle more profitable for GM... I'm certain that GM knows who is selling the vehicles for full retail, and who is charging extra... GM should have that part of the CSI score... if they paid more then MSRP, the dealership should get a lower CSI score... thus they dont have a very good choice when they are ordering vehicles...
-
The dealership next to ours, is putting a 4k dollar mark up on them... the only way GM can control these franchises, would be to have a corperate one... or increase the show room floor fee... currently its on the corvette and probably on all models but our dealership only thinks about it when its about the corvette... the longer that thing sits in the dealership the more GM will charge the dealership for not selling it... and if the average (solstice) sells within 1 week and one dealership has it a whole month... there is something wrong... thats my guess... of how GM could capitalize on it... SATURN is charging premiums what happened to fixed pricing?

well you have to use your fingers do downshift, and your thumbs to upshift... or vis versa, i'm not quite sure which way you go.... lol
