  1. if they take them into a room and say, goodbye, have a nice life... the union has contracts to continue to pay them for an addition 5 years... soo... 140k is like 2 years pay...
  2. it'll look pretty bad for sales figures to compare this june july to last june and july when they saw a 20 year high... I'm just thinking if GM has lots full of silverados, and they do another GMS, or something? Mark said he would never do it again... but who doesnt want to sell 1 million cars between 2 months? and the 2007 silverados to finish up the year should see strong sales? what does everyone think?
  3. the thing is to get sales moving regaurdless of product... because for the past at least 10 years GM's been promising the best product in the world... and sales continue to fall when it eventually makes it to the market... Buickman's just trying to do what he knows how to do... sell cars... Mark Lanave has a similar story to Jim, and thats why Mark is head of sales advertisement... but for too long has GM been pushing the deal button... if you buy today you will get a great deal, you pay what we pay not a penny more... deals will always improve sales figures... at least for today, tomarrow is a different issue, thats what GM is faced with... they pulled all their customers up a few months... so now we are left without customers... but this Black Tuesday is not about Buickman and his steps... Black Tuesday is about the people who lost their jobs due to a more efficent management system (i hope), possibly just because of downsizing...
  4. lol we could put bob in the comercials... maybe LaNave?
  5. I think the UAW's needs to start opening plants up in asia to secure their future... because they will ruin the USA if they arent playing on fair grounds
  6. suggesting that they judge does viod the contracts... how long will the strikes be going on? how many days weeks or months will delphi be idled, as well as GM, if the hearing continues?
  7. hrmm... no body wants to answer or nobody knows? well according to what i heard, which i'd like some evidence, they've BK'ed 12 times... can anyone find some factual info behind that?
  8. i wonder if all the busses say that on the side... cool... news
  9. i thought the isuzu partnership had already been almost liquidated? i thought back in 2000 or so, when they were developing the duramax, it was around 49% or something... after it was completeled i thought they sold a lot and got it down to 10-20%... they are going to continue to sell the remaining? what does isuzu motors accually have thats of value? the shares should be useless...
  10. you mean bean counters?
  11. haha, a friend of mine took his F250 Ranger 76? 4x4 off roading, just a quick venture of the regular road, got a whole mouth full of steering wheel... his front tooth was loose for a while... wish those things had full seatbelts and not just lap belts...
  12. no what i mean is its not a cadillac... if it were a cadillac they would definatly cover it up... but honestly cadillac wouldnt have the rear door interfer with the wheel flares of the vehicle... i'm quite certain this is a zeta testing... either that or it could be a sigma II testing, but in any event, its a mule and the body thats on it is just a fake...
  13. hrmm... $1523 less per vehicle... and we are probably talking 300,000 vehicles maybe more maybe less... $456,900,000 thats almost half a billion dollars in savings... so if they could continue that difference for all 12 months... and maintain same sales as previous year... that would save the company a total of 6 billion dollars in rebates... thats more then the amount of money that was lost in at GM last year if you disregaurd delphi's portion... sounds like a return to profitablity if they just do a more effective job at advertising to maintain marketshare...
  14. i thought it was a zeta... either way, yea that is an old spy... but its covered up enough so you can tell its not a cadillac...
  15. if you are local here to southern cali... i'd be willing to help you out... otherwise i'd recomend you find a fleet manager, and just ask him for something reasonable like 600 over invoice or something... you can also do that with the salesperson, yet, they are a little less informed... so thats what i recomend... cause if you just start barking up the tree for X$'s off you could be way off...
  16. Straight from MSN home page...
  17. according to chevrolet that color doesnt exist...
  18. haha that just means you dont have your stairs memorized haha, i have my stairs memorized as to i can run down them with the lights off and i've never slipped... haha, but i almost did take a tumble at work a few weeks ago, i was running down and i completely missed a step good thing i kept my balance, and didnt go tumbling in my suit and tie
  19. i'm in that boat, try to find a low mileage 96 Impala SS... or a caprice... but its 10 year old vehicle so insurance wont be too bad... and its got 265 hp with tons and tons of modabilty, because its your good old fastion LT1... thats a muscle engine if ive ever seen one
  20. yes... and i belive more recently as well... probably nothing in the last 30 years, but how many times?
  21. How many times has Toyota has declared bankrupsy?
  22. well if you look farther down they also have a chevy/gmc "all new" meaning for 2007 year model both GMT800 and GMT900 will be for sale, at least from what i can tell because if you look at the drawings the "classics" look the same as the current model, and the "all new" resemble the new tahoes for the most part
  23. then i guess i'm not the only one?
  24. i see... i watched a documentary of the thing... the guy was a genious but... this didnt really hit me as a tucker... although it does have the lights on each wheel that he wanted to have rotate as you drive... and the light in the middle
  25. ahh... thats good... what about those guys that are working on the kappas?
