1. Except, they didn't morph into Pontiac grilles until the 90s. My point exactly!
2. OMG.... I want to hump that Camaro! And from what I've seen of the "XR1" I'd probably hump it too. LOL, sexy, sexy!
3. We all know you just fine... You're 'old skool' GM management that will shoot a line of $h! to better YOUR position instead of the company as a whole.
4. LOL, I was thinking about going to Bonaroo. But a friend of mine who goes (he's the definition of a hippie) told me that I shouldn't because I would get annoyed, beat the hell out of a hippie and 'ruin the vibe.' LOL. I'd like to see the webcast though.
5. Q PRIME, their management asked the blogs to take down the reviews because it's so early. MetallicA (they were on tour at the time) found out about it and asked that they be put back up. That's the official story, at least.
6. Ford, Chrysler and BMW in no particular order.
7. Boxers... Not too picky about the colors.
8. Pretty sure the SVT Focus had them too at one point. Maybe even before BMW. Heck.. Just consider it payback for BMW ripping off the Pontiac grille.
9. Yeah.. Maybe GMNA could actually lead agin if it didn't have the GME political noose around it's neck
10. Very positive! Kerrang <--- A break down of differing elements in the music. Metal Hammer <--- Has the new MissionMetallicA clips as well as a great description of the songs they heard. LOL, James is rockin' the 'goatfield' about the same length as mine now in the clips. The Quietus <--- Says a lot of truths about the band but isn't fair about the Load era (I loved the Loads and even St. Anger when taken into context) and BTW, I don't think the Red Hot Chili Peppers (as horrible as they are) ever really needed any help. On second thought, this review is pretty much pure $h!, claiming that "Load" almost finished MetallicA in 1996. Whatever, LOL, Load was a HUGE success. Just because it wasn't 'pissed off thrash' doesn't mean that it almost killed the band. God FORBID MetallicA throw a few "commercial" tracks on any of their CDs. "In 2008, Hetfield and Ulrich delivering any form of thrash metal is not to be sneered at." LOL, I guess St. Anger wasn't thrash at all, right? After all, it was nothing MORE than riff after riff after riff with growling vocals smeared over top.. Nope, that's not the very definition of thrash at all... Just ask Slayer... Or Megadeth... Or Testament... Thrash Hits <--- Short but sweet.
11. Let us remember: GM is now a charity that must support both smaller companies and CAW/UAW workers.
12. I like the old wheels better. I hope they're still available. They emphasized the size of the wheel better.
13. AFAIK, GM-DAT reports directly to GME. Or, according to PCS, directly to GME via Holden.
14. Quote of the year!
15. I'd be willing to help if he needs it.
16. Funny thing is... My GF is an architecture major and she says that BUILDINGS account for 85% of our pollution. yet, the automobile is being attacked instead. And why? 1) Because Detroit must die and 2) Because it gives us too much personal freedom. I don't think it's an issue. If anyone says anything, just bust out some knowledge and make them look like a fool. Then tell them to eff-off in as insulting of a way as you can.
17. True that... I don't think it will ever get this bad though. 1) We will have alternative fuels. 2) MOST people see classic cars as a part of our history that need to be preserved, even if they disagree with them being driven every day. 3) We could *gulp* always convert them to electric. 4) It's not like the cars are our main source of transportation anyway. But alas, there are 3 things in this life that I take very seriously. My family & friends, my animals and my cars. If anyone ever messes with any of them, I will become violent and I will make sure the job is 'done' if you get my drift.
18. Wow... I actually agree.
19. Welcome to the new homogeny of letting GME design all of your cars. Soon enough, we'll have 60 different version of Opel to sell in america.
20. If taxpayers would buy the vehicles made in america as opposed to feeling that they're "too good to be caught in a domestic" we wouldn't be asking for federal money in order to simply COMPETE with the government funded asian brands. I really don't understand how americans are so stupid as to think that our businesses can exist in this global economic war when they are competing 1) with OTHER GOVERNMENTS and 2) with one arm tied behind their back by american 'regulations' and 'rules'.
21. We're america... Everybody's bitch. I predict that eventually we will either have a very small domestic auto industry or none at all. And I predict that MOST americans are itching for this to happen anyway. Everybody hates Detroit for one reason or another, we've been conditioned to since birth and nothing will change that. Just like we killed textiles, just like we killed tobacco, just like we killed silicon, just like we killed steel, we will kill the automobile industry.
22. A bill was STOPPED today that would require the oil companies to use their HUGE profits to prop up gas in this country. They need to 1) be controlled to the extent that prices are capped or rise gradually or 2) Be required to invest in new oil prospects as opposed to their own damn stock. You think that's actually going to happen? Sh8t, this is america... land of the self loathing and home of the ignorant.
23. Hmmm... Working on preserving the Commodore through innovation all the while introducing an attractive Alpha. If only GMNA and GME weren't too dumb to see the relevance in this. LPG and ethanol! I'm moving to aussie land! FINALLY, someone at GM with some brains! Why isn't Reuss running the company again?
24. Nah... GM will be caught with it's pants down yet again, by pioneering the idea and then watching Jeep, Ford (Bronco) and Land Rover cash in on it.
25. WTF does it matter? Soon enough GM will stop offering cars this sweet anyway. I hope everyone jacks off over a 138hp "PERFORMANCE" Astra in the same manner.
