  1. Sometimes the partner has a negative effect on income.
  2. Nice pics. I like it in yella. I think the RS package makes the car look much more upscale than non RS packages. There's a small dealer about 40 miles from me with a silver Camaro with the RS package. I've not gone to look at it yet. Soon though.
  3. I had an 02 Silverado Z-71 Extended Cab. I was eating at a diner where there was a car show going on outside. As I walked from the restaurant, I noticed a leaning against the front bumper of the truck while talking to his friends. The guy was facing away from me, so I calmly took out my keys and hit the panic button on the RKE. He about pissed his pants. I shut off the panic alarm using the unlock button, got in the truck with my son, started it up, and drove off. The guy stared at me the whole time, but didn't say anything to me.
  4. Boy, that guy sure knows how to slap a cock around. He must have experience.
  5. Nice pics, you have a beautiful home, too.
  6. Saw on the ordering guide that the HHR Panel SS is discontinued.
  7. I am very curious to see the production version of the Converj.

    Such a tragedy

Glad to hear he had NCR on his policy. I get it anytime I get a new car for situations just like this. I used NCR when the Avalanche was totalled in the rollover accident a few years ago. I have to say that its worth it's weight in gold. If he is due to receive his new Camaro, then it appears he is having the same success with it than I did.
  9. I will reserve judgement until I see a production model. The news and the hype over this vehicle is textbook for the "old GM" and I've taken an "I'll believe it when I see it" mentality regarding future products. This car was marketed to change the automotive world, but I don't see it as anything other than GM's version of the Prius. I'll pass on owning one, but I will cheer it on when it reaches the marketplace.

Wow, rear ended so hard that it drops the curtain airbags. I hope the owner will be okay, and has NCR on his car insurance policy. As for the kid, he made a poor choice, and now he must be responsible for his choices. If not, this is only the beginning of his menace on society.
  11. Had mom and my step father over for a cookout and pool party. My step dad lured mom onto the diving board then pushed her in the pool. It was a hoot. I got mom a Wii for Mothers Day. She thought it was so cool. After dinner, we all came inside and told our favorite stories about mom and her antics. She does some funny stuff. It was a good day.

    I dont get it

This is a crime against automotive nature.
  13. Tomorrow the pool here will be open. . finally. Its still kinda chilly temperature wise, but thankfully its heated. Will be having a BBQ for my mom by the pool. Think I'll take Satty's advice here and do S'mores for dessert. That sounds great.
  14. A very sweet black HHR Panel SS. It was sweeeeet!
  15. Thats one reason it got the automatic no.
  16. It wouldn't save the company, but it would be a nice niche product.
  17. Very very nice Satty! You gonna take it to Table Rock?
  18. Since my family is here, I asked them their wish list. Here it is. Me: Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (its that red one's fault. Dammit!) J: Cadillac CTS-V Son: G8 GT (wife says no. haha) Daughter in law: Enclave CXL Daughter: Camaro (no)
  19. I believe that is in the process of being changed. It just takes time.
  20. I guess my point in all this that people throw around words such as retard, faggot, etc with no regard for others. It's my experience that people laugh about those words, or use them continuously, until you let the person know, "Hey, I know someone who is. . ." or "Hey, my child is . . ." before people start thinking about what they say. In my opinion, it should never get that far. Unfortunately, people in general have gotten more rude, less caring over time. Croc has a good point about political correctness. You have the right to dislike someone for whatever reason you have, but it is important to be gracious to people because that is how you would want to be treated. Everyone has traits about them that someone will hate or not understand. Nobody wants to have those traits held against them. It's not fair, and its very disrespectful. That is why it is so important to be politically correct with others. It is another word for being respectful.
  21. For the person with the disability or their loved ones, it makes it better, because you are seeing them as a person first. When I had cancer and was going through chemo, no one ever introduced me as a cancerous man. I was a man with cancer. I am a person that has cancer. I am not cancer that has a person. The same goes for people with other disabilities. People that have disabilities or illness do not want them broadcast for everyone to hear, especially if its mentioned before what they really are. It's putting a stigma out there that is negative and everyone is so much more than their disabilities. For example, someone with a cognitive disability (formerly called mental retardation) should never be referred to as a retarded person, retard, or a 'tard. If you must refer to their disability (which should be rare), then it would be that person with a cognitive disability. I have found that in most social situation, mentioning the disability is unnecessary because most people will figure it out for themselves. I have never mentioned this before, but I have fathered three children. I had a son that would be 18 this year. He was born with a cognitive disability and was labeled mentally retarded. He lived until he was 9 years old and died from a long battle with a very rare brain cancer called Glioma. During his 9 years, he had to endure classmates calling him a retard. While he tested very low on IQ and other tests that measure cognitive development, he was smart enough to understand that other classmates were being mean to him based on his disability. He said to me one day, "I wish I smart so my classes would like me, but I can't help it." Nothing has hurt me worse as a parent than seeing my kid being discriminated against for his own disadvantages. Thankfully, he is in a better place now where that is no longer happening to him.
  22. Awww D, just had to get ya there. Enjoyed all the changes you've made. I found them very interesting. I only joke with those I like.
