  5. This thread is wrong on many different levels.
  6. No worries, I put my daughter in law to work making another carrot cake. Icing, too. Since she is family she has to learn to fix all the family recipes.
  7. On my screen, the google ad was blocking the picture of the cock. Is this what Stifler was talking about when he said "cock block"?
  8. Great job on writing this. It was an enjoyable read. I was away while you were having all these issues, but am glad that you ended up with a G8. It is the ultimate affordable sedan from GM. Each path you're on can lead you to something really great. Glad it has worked out for you.
  9. I learned that the phrase "too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the broth" is true. I tripped over one of my Newfies while holding my famous homemade carrot cake and it went flying into the wall. I also learned that a homemade cream cheese icing is a bitch to get out of microfiber. My kids and daughter in law also learned that I will throw cream cheese icing at them when they laugh at me for falling.
  10. Thankfully, Civil engineers have learned much from "Galloping Gertie" there.
  11. Hey DF, sorry to hear the government is billin ya for citizenship this year. Unfortunately, sometimes ya gotta pay to play.
  12. Hasn't there been talk about Chevy getting a version of the Kappa for awhile?
  13. Not nice! Not nice at all! Don't worry about that pic GMTG, the Mississippi River bridge that collapsed in MPLS was a steel beam bridge, the Delaware Memorial Bridge is a suspension bridge which is generally a much sturdier structure.
  14. Hey GMTG, if you tense up, just remember to say 'gooosefraba'.
  15. John Rich - Shuttin Detroit Down (great lyrics, good message)
  16. Love the insurance banner in the background, and I see there is one less Lexus on the road. I hope no one was hurt.
  17. Thanks ZL-1. I am excited about being a grandpa, as are my son as his wife. DF, my daughter is 15 and she is the one in which had to explain the proper definition of cocky. Still laughing about that.
  18. Saw this on autoblog. Think it looks much nicer. Much improved steering wheel design as well.
  19. While were talking about parental quotes, here's a few others I use: Pick your battles. Some are just not worth the effort. And here's one of my favorites: Give a man enough rope; he'll hang himself. Sometimes it's more fun to watch someone make a fool of themselves and damage their own credibility. Then it's time for
  20. As the owner of an Acadia, I think its perfectly styled. I chose the Acadia over the Enclave because the styling was the most masculine and trucklike. As for the taillamps, its the only Lambda with LED taillamps. That was a plus for me and influenced my decision more. As for the rest of the Croc's post. I could not have said it better myself.
  21. That is a very hard lesson to learn, but as I was told by my folks, and as I have told my kids, half of being smart is knowing when not to say anything. Some just do not learn that and end up looking moronic. (is moronic a word?) If it isn't, then I just coined it.
