    08 Chargers

I would too, until February of 2008, but I really want that G8. I like its proportions better and the interior is not as drab as the Chargers. I'll never undestand how Chrysler can make gray look so depression and cheap.

The production model is being introed at the Chicago Auto Show in February, and will go on sale one year after the production model is introed. So February 2009 for the on sale date, last I heard. I hope the production model is shown in a color other than orange. I'm wanting to see it in black, red, or this blue would be nice too.
  3. Notice they said "cheaper" and not "less expensive"
  4. With each GM vehicle I've owned, I've always achieved a rating within the EPA estimate, except on the highways, and its always been better mileage on the sticker. On a trip this summer in the Av, I achieved a 24 mpg at 60 mph with the AFM kicking in quite a bit. I've gotten used to looking at the EPA ratings on the stickers and thinking that the vehicle will get towards the upper end of that range.
  5. Wasn't there a million mile VW diesel recently as well?
  6. It takes time to become a world player, and Cadillac is well on their way to becoming a world player. They have come so far so quickly, that it's only a matter of time. I think the restructuring of the lineup with improve the changes of Cadillac becoming more of a world player with the core products being a Alpha, BTS, Signa CTS, Zeta STS with a halo car at the top of the range and SUV/Crossovers of various sizes sprinkled in for good measure. I dont think Cadillacs problem is the engines. I think Cadillacs problems are most from a perception standpoint. It takes awhile for people to change the way they think about products, and with Cadillac making huge jumps with each generation, it will not be long before Cadillac is accepted in the same breath at BMW and Mercedes Benz. It took Audi 15-20 years to gain the world class image that they have now. As long as Cadillac continues with good products, they will be continue to change people's perceptions of what an American luxury car is.

The Avenger is in need of a serious wheelbase lengthening. It would make all the difference in the world in that cars proportions.

  12. I admire them for what they have achieved and entertaining us common folk, but I feel bad for them because the media exploits them, then hides behind the Bill of Rights when they invades their privacy.

  15. At first, I was surprised at the pricing on the V6 model, but that models comes with alot of features the SXT Charger does not, so I can justify the $2,000 higher price. For example, side curtain air bags, OnStar, XM radio, 18 inch wheels. All are optional or unavailable on the Charger. I prefer the looks of the G8 to the Charger as well. The Charger is a great sedan, and props to Chrysler for making it, but the G8 is more interesting. Where my heart lies is with the GT though. Thats my birthday present to myself!
