  2. Too True... I think what the Jeep name has over the Hummer name is the lack of stigma as an "Earth-Killer"
  3. My grandpa would nag me and proceed to do backflips
  4. GM SHOULD buy Jeep... and turf Hummer, because Jeep's got the history.
  5. At least that way it stays in America
  6. I know... It turns my stomach like you wouldn't believe. Dodgefan, if they do this, save me a torch and or pitchfork for the rioting outside of Cerberus headquarters- Jeep is an all-American brand steeped in American History and to sell it to a foreign country would be wrong on so many levels.
  7. "Downtown" - Petula Clark
  8. We'll see throughout 2008 and into 2009 weather any one of these straws will break the bank... I'm getting concerned about this thing lasting till 2010 when my dad is done with his Impala (I'll be pretty pissed off if I sink too much into the thing)
  9. Okay, rewind to December 1996 and tell my parent's that . Although from time to time I still rag on my parents for buying it... It was between my Cavalier and a leftover showroom demo 1996 Achieva 3100 in forest green... But my mom just HAD to have a pretty blue, shapely car . Even my dad wanted to get the Achieva.
  10. mmm.... Damn 68, Where do you find these awesome cars? I still think the best one you had (not counting the B-59) was the Bicentennial LeSabre How'd you blow a headgasket on the B-59??

  13. This happens from time to time on other IPB forums I'm on too... It's a known bug I believe.
  14. Can't you tell I'm psyched? So, my Cavalier really needs to take a big Valium... I think it's emotionally distraught. Not even a month out of a 500$ Water Pump job, now the following things have gone wrong with my car... -Wiper Arm broke off in my hands under gentle application ( ) -Gas Gauge stuck at full, will no longer move. -Radio Dead due to wiring issue (loose Connection?) under driver's side floor -ABS Light going on and off depending on where my left foot is. -Radio Sometimes Works depending on where my left foot is. So to sum things up, I'm going back to the dealer for another service appt (double ), I've got no tunes, sometimes no ABS, Limited Wiper Funcitionality, and no way to know how much gas is in the tank for sure.
  15. Dibs on his Park Ave!
  16. No, the U-Body was an A-Body Derivative.
  17. Well... They got the exterior right IMO... stick by your brand and give them time... I'm sure they'll have the interior right by the EMCE... I really like the 300, Charger, and Challenger interiors... Hell I even like the Sebring and Avenger, and this is silly IMO.
  18. The Nevada test was carried in the papers up here too... but the original Journey interior that was revealed with the SUV a while back was certainly not the ergo-nightmare they tested... It's unfortunate, and if they produce the NAV on the Bottom as I fear, it' will be a big mistake.
  19. After watching that Drug Addled Amy Winehouse edge out Taylor Swift for best new Artist, which is, I believe, setting a bad example... I saw that Alan Jackson's smooth-flowing song, "A Woman's Love", got edged out by Keith Urban's "Stupid Boy" for best Male Country Performance- Anyone who's heard both songs would surely agree that Alan was robbed.... Did anyone else watch this year or happen to want to weigh in as well?
  20. Well... We miss the utility and Captains Chairs... but we're getting 5MPG better with the Impala, so I guess you could say we DON'T miss the 96L Tank and 105$ Gas Bills.
  21. Those Type R Volvos are real slick... but the only Volvos I could see myself buying would be the V70 or XC70
  22. We had some odd problems *Quoting the service records* Water Pump, Rad Cap, Fanbelt, Cooling Hose @ 132021km EGR, Valve Gasket @ 112717km Power Steering Pump Shaft @ 109724km TCC Solenoid @ 120515km Lower Control Arm, Ball Joints, Inner Tie Rods @ 127113km Transmission Rebuilds at 8900kms and 121000kms Everything else was covered under warranty. ... It was the Two Transmission Failures within a Year of Each other that led us to sell ours, but overall, it served us extremely well, and still remains our favourite van for its power and fuel economy, not to mention good looks.
  23. I think they came in summer 2003, but in a city of a million people there really aren't many at all on the road- in the last two months, I can count on one hand how many I've seen... Problem is their price point. 15 Large for a car like that... Screw the 88MPG, most people in Calgary would rather drive 88MPH! In all seriousness, domestics still rule the roost where I live and most people who don't want a car that small, and those who didn't get caught up in the Fad just drive Focii, Aveos, Cobalts, Yarises etc... because you get much more car for the money.
  24. I guess it runs in the family.... My grandparents 2007 Impala LS that is optioned out identically to ours...
