2009 Impala 50th Anniversary Edition
Don't get me wrong, I love the look of the LX cars and the idea of an AWD 300 or Charger would be great, but I just can't get around those tiny windows. My grandparents had a 300C as a loaner when their old 2001 Caravan was in the shop, he let me take it for a spin, and I just couldn't live with it because of the lack of visibility. Not three months later, he got sick of repair bills and could choose between a 300, Charger, LaCrosse, and Impala. He bought an Impala for this reason, even though he loved almost everything about the 300 and Charger, from the Awesome styling, to the Kick-Ass interior and RWD proportions, and was, low, generally a Mopar man.

2009 Impala 50th Anniversary Edition
You hit three nails right on the head as to why I like the W-Cars over the Epsilon Cars. I can empathize with you on your Malibu, I really feel your pain. Why, you may ask? Because We've replaced the driver's side strut on our 2006 Maxx, and yes, over the last few Mos, the car has been developing concerning rattles of various assortments too. Our Venture was solid as a rock in this aspect, and my Cavalier rattles very little considering it's a J-Bod. I look for economy and durability over refinement, which is why I prefer pushrods in the first place.

Thinking Small
Tres Slow Indeed... Yes, W. That's my "Graduate from University Plan". I'll have my dad's 2007 Impala in 2yrs, and I want a Coupe with Big Heavy Doors and the same front end to match.

Thinking Small
The Mini is an ergonomic Nightmare, I don't care for Mazda 3, or the company's response to the rash of break-ins caused by a design defect. I sorta like the Cobalt, but not the G5. The HHR SS, I don't like, but a loaded HHR LT looks sharp and might be considered. I like the Astra but not the interior, and the Civic, well, I think you know the answer. I'd just as easily spend the money I would spend on a new 4-Banger on a couple years old W-Monte Carlo to go with the Impala.

Oh no! I may be losing the Envoy for...
I'm gonna echo Dssupr on this one. My aunt Mary Anne is a Volvo girl to the core, but she drives a 2006 Ford Focus SEL V6. Why? Although Volvos are mechanically reliable and go for a very long time, any FWD modern Volvo will Nickel and Dime you TO DEATH. She had a 760, which went near 300K Miles, but then she had a 1994 850 Turbo, which lasted her a good 200K miles, after that, a 1998 XC70 which went near 300K miles. Along the way, the expenses for small things were absolutely astronomical, even though she lived in the same 100 mile radius as a former Volvo assembly plant, with plenty of old Volvo factory technicians working for cheap. The 760 and 850 were Canadian made, the XC70 was made in Belgium. My verdict: If you can guarantee it will be under warranty the whole duration of the lease, get one, if only to illustrate to your wife just how sucky it would be to actually own one after the warranty runs out in comparison to an American vehicle. If I were you and you did get one, seriously, go for one of the wagons (V50 i guess for your price range). I really prefer them to the sedans in terms of versatility (and looks for that matter), I'm a sucker for the V70 and XC70 especially.

Its Super Tuesday
Michigan newspapers endorsed McCain, and I think he can help the Auto industry and Detroit in general. The same goes with Romney's opposition of CAFE, either of them would be AOK.

Mmm.... Best looking Lambda, hands down. *kicks self* Maybe in 2.5 when we replace the Cavalier with a new car, this would be something to watch (it'd better be cheaper than an Acadia tho)

Music that you like...
I enjoy country, but not that Rockabilly crap... The Classics along with Alan Jackson, George Strait, and some more traditional country singers. I also like Motown quite alot, but I really enjoy the sounds of Aretha, Frank and his "Pallies", and Bobby Darin.
