That Eighties Funk
I wouldn't mind another J-Bod if it was only a convertible Cavalier or Sunfire that I didn't depend on every day.

Hi Ho! Hi Ho!, Back to the Dealer I Go!
The dealer couldn't find any wiring faults, so I went ahead and bought the new unit... But I can't have it installed until the 15th...

That Eighties Funk
My dad worked in Commercial Crime and Counterfeit Detection with the RCMP and he had a Red-on-Red 1988 Corsica 2.8L as his Unmarked Detective Cruiser for the longest time before he Had a 1995 T-Bird and then a 1995 Cutlass Supreme SL (he didn't like RWD), but that Corsica was a good car, really reliable, and we almost bought one when it came time for him to retire from the force and for us to buy a second car instead (We bought a Dustbuster instead).

Toyota Tacoma- Cracked Sheet Metal!
I received a PM from a friend of mine on another forum whose family has a Toyota Tacoma (year 2005). After Rats ate his wiring twice due to Toyota coating their wires in tasty peanut oil, the Sheet metal on his truck has begun to completely disintegrate... To be fair to the guy, he's a GM/Ford truck guy and his family only bought it on the merits of the previous Toyota pickups they had had... So here's what has begun to happen to his "super duper" three year old truck (this truck has by far not been abused or even driven very hard either)...

HAVE HAD IT UP TO MY @$$

This is wise, I believe they were going to offer that multi-panel Panoramic Sunroof from the G6 on the Aura but nixed it after they found out what a dog it was.- Hi Ho! Hi Ho!, Back to the Dealer I Go!
I can get a Sony set for 144.99, Installed for free with a built in iPod Charger and Aux Jack for XM Radio, I've already decided that's what I'm going to do, regardless of whether it's the radio or not that is broken... The one I chose is nice and conservative looking with a more straightforward button layout. http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...amp;catid=10174 They're selling a refurbished Roady XT for 34.99 Here as well, might invest in that, since it's only an extra 9.95 a month since the Impala is already on an active subscription.- That Eighties Funk
And they were bulletproof reliable too.- 09 DODGE JOURNEY first drive
I rather prefer the Montana SV6 as well... EWB in Silver with the 3.9L wouldn't be bad...- THE Greatest 3-way trade in human history!
Neat Car! I hope that's not Fly's Aurora in the background- What does your Desktop look like?
Edwards is a great person, he's one of those guys that regardless of their views, you can have respect for.- That Eighties Funk
Hmmm... Any 1980s BL cars on there?- 2007 Chevrolet Impala LS
My family, three generations of it, looked at the new Malibu and went back to the Impala as well, I agree with you completely. In my opinion, while not as gutsy as it is in a Malibu, the 3.5L is more than satisfactory as a powerplant, the 3900 isn't really worth the money. It's only got 20 more foot-pounds of torque. In our Impala I can drive 25% grade at 50MPH with three other people in the car, with the gas pedal only like half-way down, and still return 21MPG City, so I can't justify spending the extra moneys. That way you have more money alloted to options, like a sunroof, the only thing ours is really missing.- OK, how about your pets?
That's a nice Dog, PCS... I'm partial to Collies, but a Sheltie would do, I also like Siamese cats, but sadly my family hates pets... So that'll have to wait for now.- Congratulations, Chris Doane
or a do donuts Hyundai Genesis...- World Of Wheels
What color are you painting your Eldo btw? I recommend Black.- Word Association

Nice Pics! That Buick is a Beauty, as was your TA. I usually only attend the Calgary Auto and Truck show but this one might be worth seeing next year.- Congratulations, Chris Doane
Nice Job, Chris! You deserved the recognition for your amazing work - Interesting post about future RWD Buick/Caddy
