Arizona and Enterprise Rent-a-Car
Is it just me or is Hertz always ungodly expensive compared to Enterprise/Avis-Budget/National-Alamo?

Boeing 787 Dreamliner Take Flight
Saw it live but I still get vibes from this plane that it could have DC-10 like issues just based on the revolutionary nature of the product.

Arizona and Enterprise Rent-a-Car
I don't plan to be sucked into that vortex, I'll know better if they try to saddle us with a 4cyl car because Enterprise's website in Canada says a full size has at least 6 cylinders...

Arizona and Enterprise Rent-a-Car
I hear you there, we've been out to AZ ten times although the most recent was 1999, we did the Carefree/Cave Creek drive one year and Roosevelt Lake in either 1997 or 1998.

The bastard is probably going to end up on suicide watch or in an institution somewhere if the press keeps talking about him 24/7

Arizona and Enterprise Rent-a-Car
Anyone know anything about Enterprise's rental fleet? I'm flying out to Phoenix for a week on the 18th and we've reserved a full-size; anyone got a clue what Enterprise generally offers in that category in the United States? (Obviously I'm crossing my fingers against a Camry) Additionally, anyone know of any good scenic drives within a close vicinity to the Phoenix Metro area? (Saw the roads around Carefree last time and it was a pleasant experience)

Cadillac XTS concept hint to be at NAIAS
Recently the Prime Minister of Canada has had a 1992 Buick Roadmaster and a 2001 Cadillac Deville

Help (!)
There's lots of slush and snow on the ground up here but that was one of the first things I checked and all rims are clear inside and free of obstructions as for mud- it long since froze at minus twenty-five temperatures. It was dark out but it looked like the wheel weights were attached. I'll check again come morning.

Help (!)
So I drove the Cobalt out this morning to run some errands for my Grandmother and all was well with the car, then this evening I ran out to get some pizza and as I pulled onto the expressway the car started shaking badly above about 60kph (40mph for the Yanks). At first I thought I had a flat tire so I pulled off at the next exit and examined the car, checked the tire pressure as well as the rims and nothing seemed out of place. There's no snow/ice in the wheel wells making contact with any of the wheels either. I got on the expressway again and it started again at the same speed. At first I thought it could be the road surface but I'd driven on the same road three times previous during the day and this didn't happen. I can feel the shaking/pulsing through the floor, my seat, and the steering wheel and it seems to be more pronounced on the drivers side than the passenger side. I've never seen this before but I'm wondering whether it's something wrong with the car (suspension bushings/bearings/what have you) or the tires/rims (slipped belt). Obviously if it's a defect with the car warranty will cover it but if not I guess I'm on my own. In the interests of full disclosure I haven't hit any curbs/potholes etc or given the car a reason to do this.

RWD & sand bags / snow tires
Based on the pictures and the forum post that they sourced the article from, this happened not far from where I live... Brand new 3-Series buried up to its roof! http://jalopnik.com/5423540/bmw-buried-in-snow-reason-544-to-avoid-canada

World Car Fans: Baby Buick Spied With Less Camouflage
Judging by the latest pictures I view the Cruze to be a much more attractive design.

RWD & sand bags / snow tires
If you want to have a snow contest I bet you I can be a contender. These are pictures that ran in the Calgary Herald from Friday's mega-blizzard. At my house there were 3 foot drifts all the way down my lawn and onto the street. After we dug out to the street we had to try to shovel all the cul-de-sac as well. Good thing the neighbors have a 2004 Sierra 3500HD Diesel Dually mounted with a plow (!) I'm proud to report that the Cobalt with Tripletreds and 2WD has been getting along just grand.

LAIAS impressions
I have to say I don't like the new XJ. I think it should have been more 'evolutional' off of the traditional XJ shape.

Cadillac XTS concept hint to be at NAIAS
I for one cannot wait to see this car. Big long Cadillacs are my favorite kind of cars bar none. The sad thing is that even though this baby is going to be a quantum leap over the DTS in terms of quality and refinement, it won't have a V8 or a Bench Seat- and I think that's sad. It's like the end of an era at Cadillac that started I'd say in 1949, but if it has to be I suppose it has to be, mainly because the world has changed (in my mind for the worse). These new Cadillacs are great cars but they aren't the ones that made me really love Cadillac, so all things being equal I'd still rather have a cherry Triple Black LT1 Fleetwood than anything they make today. I bet you it'll look pretty good in black regardless of drive wheels but I'm hoping for Zeta or some sort of RWD because I think that Cadillac is getting to the point where the market may reject it if it doesn't at the very least offer AWD.

Chevy Spark EU Test Drive
I stand by my rather lukewarm acceptance of the exterior of this car, and the gauge pod. Perhaps GM can prove something to the US government about how useless CAFE is. Nice that there might be a better engine package for the North American market. I can see this do well in Canada though, the smart car does pretty well up here too.

The best Buick for $4000-6000
The best thing you could buy in that price range is a W-Body Regal or Century. Slightly less solid would be the LeSabre

Rainsense on Cruze?
I was just looking at the Autoblog pics from the Cruze press event this last week. I couldn't help but notice a warning light in the gauge cluster that reads "AUTO" and has a windshield logo above it (Picture attached). Did the press release mention anything about Rainsense or is that supposed to be a surprise? http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/12/29-la-2011-chevy-cruze.jpg Any thoughts? I figured that if any new GM compact got Rainsense it would be the new Buick.

Henderson resigns as GM CEO
I think it's better to have new blood and Whitacre has made no bones about him being in charge. This is fine since I think it seems he can recognize the need for moving quickly to establish a foothold. That being said I had no idea that Fritz would be gone so quickly.

The 2011 Cruze: Chevrolet Unveils U.S. Version Of The Popular, Fuel-Efficient Global Compact Sedan
Check the RPM you get the peak power out of the 1.4T and compare it to the Cobalt. Ten less horsepower but comparable torque at a lower RPM.
