  1. I wondered myself about some cars with this feature... new Camaro and Mustang, for example. It's actually a gravel guard area. Apparently, if that area were painted, it would get chipped up.
  2. Thank you very much for the comprehensive information on this very special car.
  3. Simply... STUNNING. Gorgeous, tough and sexy... worthy of the legendary Stingray name in every way. Those guys were like boys on Christmas morning, and no one will blame them. WOW. Of course it's my desktop background.
  4. I'm very pleased with it as well. Gives hope, along with the MKZ, for the continued existence of an American luxury brand. Pleased it is not Euro or Asian in appearance. AWD with 2.0L EB or 3.7L power sounds ideal. This matches up very well to the SRX. The Concept C was a good concept, (wide, roomy, short) but in the end it came across as an AMC Pacer in execution. The idear of a wide, six-passenger luxury city car should still be tried by someone... Lincoln is as good a place as any, with 1.6L EB power. Next up should be a RWD flagship sedan and coupe, imo, to inject some authority into the brand.

  6. Replacement for Versa hatch in the US. Hopefully it will be available with a manual transmission on the upscale trims, and not just the CVT. US powertrain options are yet to be announced.
  7. I think it's wonderful that every new Corvette is met with such rabid speculation and voracious curiosity. Decade after decade, Corvette is America's Sports Car.
  8. Dude Corvairs!
  9. Ugly, disjointed picasso of crap.
  10. Just, ya know... sort of ram it in there. It will fit.
  11. This is a very haunting song. Willow Smith vocalizing over a Radiohead piece. Amazing.
  12. Dart GT is a heritage nameplate, as there was one in the 60's. The R/T is still coming, AFAIK (has anyone heard different?). And so's the SRT4. Would look great in a coupe.
  13. Nobut it's pretty sweet. I wouldn't mind traveling there.
  14. Patriot is hardly a clean sheet design... yet it set an annual sales record for itself in 2012. Glad I could help, little fella.
  15. I'm all for it.
  16. brokenrecordbrokenrecordbrokenrecord That new Impala would look really cool as a coupe, convertible and wagon in addition to the sedan. It really is time for GM to reopen their lines to more bodystyles, now that so many worthy brands have been killed.
  17. Excellent, very professional, concise review of a fine car. If only Amarok.
  18. Here's a link to the advert: http://www.hemmings.com/parts/item/3439.html?refer=blog

  20. How's their Roadside Assistance program? Are they prompt? I test drove a base model 4X4 Tacoma and it almost rattled my teeth out. I've never driven a light duty pickup that rode so much like a buckboard in my life.

    What if...

I was thinking of a scenario with regards to the auto industry and government regulation of it. WHAT IF... everything were the same, as far as world events... the gas crises, safety and emissions regulations all happened exactly as in real life... but CAFE, or any form of it, were never thought of? What would today's vehicle lineups look like? Would market forces have been such that things would look pretty much the same... or would the car world look completely different? If you have a few minutes, let us speculate...
  22. exactly
