  1. Especially if it is as stylish as the Model S and doesn't look like a frog (Leaf).
  2. Saw 5 Tesla Model S in the commute tonight...white, silver, dark red, dark gray, black.
  3. The millions of 3 ton light duty pickups on the roads have done far more road damage than a few electric cars will, I think...
  4. Traded it on a worn out 4th gen Camaro? Or a white Accord from the '90s?
  5. Saw the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile in traffic yesterday...first one I'd ever seen.
  6. A Diesel Chrysler 300? I doubt they would sell it here. Maybe GM and Chrysler should sell all their diesel cars in Europe (once the car market actually recovers) and seed them a little more here. The problem with diesel around here (SW FL) is that diesel often costs as much as premium and only one of every five gas stations NOT on the interstate have diesel pumps. It's already being talked about at Chrysler apparently. They already build it as a Lancia in Europe and uses the same engine the Diesel Grand Cherokee is getting so it's not like it needs any design work to be completed. It just needs to be certified for the US. Who cares if the cost per gallon of diesel is the same as premium? I can go 50% further per gallon and still have Hemi like torque. Also, who cares about how often you find stations that sell diesel? I could drive from Pittsburgh to Philly and back on a single tank (about 600 miles). If you're in your own area, you quickly learn all the stations that have diesel. If you're in an unfamiliar area, never let the tank go below 1/2 before you fill it and download a NAV app that locates diesel stations for you. Those are just excuses for refusing change. In the real world most people are not like you. Most have no idea who the Vice President is let alone what stations have what. Also so many people drive on E and never fill up that never letting it below is not an option since so many never go over full. Yes, the American general public is painfully stupid., Intelligent people buy diesels, the car makers should target them rather than the ignorant masses..
  7. Most of my collection is in storage. 1/18th scale diecast, 1/43rd , 1/24, 1/64, etc.... 1/25th scale promo models, built and unbuilt 1/24 and 1/25 scale models. My next house will have a room or two dedicated to modeling and display.
  8. http://www.autoblog.com/2013/05/07/next-gen-chevy-colorado-looks-like-big-brother-silverado/
  9. What diesel is the current Asian-market Colorado using? Something sourced from Isuzu or GMDAT ?
  10. I like the front end, nice to see the grille and lower area separate rather than the single big mouth approach of Audi and others...nice big upper grille, more in the classic M-B tradition. I like the dash, esp. the horizontal focus and lack of a boring, predictable integrated center console and vertical center stack that so many cars have these days..
  11. I sat in the XTS at a car show a few months ago, definitely feels small inside compared to my sister's '00 DTS. Part of the problem is the XTS wheelbase is 4 inches shorter than the DTS and width is 2-3 inches narrower, IIRC.
  12. Still early for this technology, but it will be a necessary feature for self-driving cars. Tomorrow's drivers will want self-driving cars as driving is too distracting from texting, Facebooking, watching videos, etc.
  13. GM's problem is they sell far too many 3 ton pickups and SUVs that get poor mileage. Their product mix is skewed toward inefficient heavy trucks..
  14. Since this is the cargo version of the new NYC taxi, I wonder if we will see Chevy badged taxi versions eventually also.
  15. Some people will always find something to bitch about. Such is the nature of internet forums.
  16. I'm sure they will slap a GMC badge on some of them to keep the GMC dealers happy. Though 'City Savanna' doesn't really work since a Savanna is a rural pairie or something like that..
  17. It would have been confusing if they had brought the Opel Combo van (which is the Fiat Doblo, built in Turkey) since it is coming as a Ram... http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2013/02/ram-to-get-turkish-built-fiat-doblo/
  18. Orlando wouldn't have worked as a cargo van..it has conventional doors and low roof.
  19. The funny thing is that the small van that GM has in Europe for Opel/Vauxhall is a rebadged Fiat Doblo, which Ram will probably be getting a version of soon for a small van (they are getting the Fiat Ducato based Pro Master large van).
  20. Ambitious but delusional...can't just say 'double sales' and expect it to magically happen.
  21. Focus on a small set of niches and focus on quality product for those niches. Good strategy.
  22. Saw a black & red Ariel Atom in traffic this morning...first time I'd ever seen one on the road...what a cool car. Though I think it would be much more fun on a winding backroad than in 5 lanes of morning rush hour traffic.....also saw a white and gold Dodge Ramcharger, battered and worn but still on the road..one of the last sold in the US ('90-92 or so).
