  1. You aren't the target customer...so stick w/ Chevy trucks.
  2. It's for a Cadillac, so complexity and expense is a necessity.... it fits better w/ the market niche than an NA pushrod v8 would....BMW was a twin turbo DOHC 6, the M-B E-class is getting one, Audi has a turbo V6 in the A6. So, it's all about perception? Partially....for marketing in the premium niche, you have to have premium hardware..that's how the game works. What's so premium about it? Other than price. Read the details.

  5. I like it...cool how the gear wraps the 'C'..
  6. Yeah...the Indy Car races I go to (except for the Indy 500) usually have Accords as pace cars.. Saw a couple Dodge Darts today---a white '63 2dr sedan and a faded bronze w/ brown top '73-74 4dr sedan. Also saw the new MKZ in the wild for the first time, a dark purplish red one at the grocery, light tan interior, the big moonroof slid back...a very striking looking car. Saw a very clean light blue and white '55-57 Chevy stepside pickup in traffic.
  7. Spotted on TV today watching the NASCAR race from Bristol--the Pace Car is a Ford B-Max...LoL..
  8. It's the fahrvergnugen!!!
  9. Went to lunch today and parked between a Smart and an iQ....they looked so tiny w/ the DTS between them..
  10. You would think some aftermarket company would be making something like that...seems like the kind of thing that would have been in the JC Whitney catalog in the past. I occasionally see brand name banners on Chevy and Ford vehicles, they are out there.
  11. Saw an eclectic mix this afternoon....yellow '80s VW Vanagon double cab pickup, aqua '57 Chevy Bel Air convertible, top down, and a silver '66 Olds Starfire I hadn't seen in almost 2 years..
  12. Noticed a Juke and a Versa in my office parking lot have 'Pure Drive' badging....'Pure Drive' ?
  13. 94 degrees here today, spring is in the air.... I'll be flying through Houston on Sunday on my way to Alexandria, Louisiana for 4 days at a client site.
  14. Pontiacs this morning...saw a clean gray G8 GXP at my coffee shop, then a clean bright red '69 Firebird on the freeway, then a worn-out but still running 6000 STE in a parking lot...wasn't sure if it was primer gray or faded from some other color.
  15. Replaced the windshield today. A truck kicked up a rock on the 202 Monday morning that cracked it in the top center, crack spread across. New glass is slightly different w/ a mesh-look decal area above the rear-view mirror that the 3 previous ones didn't have IIRC...acts as a sun shade for the top center, I think.
  16. Ah, shorter than I thought..not even tall enough for dfelt to walk around...I figured it was more like 8 feet inside.
  17. Maybe a lot of ex pro basketball players become deliverymen and require a tall van. I've seen many of these types of vans out and about whilst in Europe on holiday in the past, never stopped to inquire as to the content in one, though.
  18. Someone has added AMG badging to a black MB Sprinter around here, tinted windows, chrome wheels..looks interesting. As far as recent Sprinters go, I see more badged as MB than Frightliner.
  19. Maybe AMG versions of the Actros, Vito, and Viano are coming...anyway, sounds like brand dilution.
  20. Saw a really clean black '69 Camaro SS on the 202 freeway this morning. Looked completely stock w/ Rally wheels...nice example w/o visible mods.
  21. I wonder what differences it will have from the regular MKS.
  22. Content that is too long/tall to fit vertically in a normal height van.
  23. NV. I'm surprised Toyota hasn't gotten in on this action yet...
