  1. Yes, sometimes, it can be a nice red brown, with the color and texture quite similar to the spicy curry I ate a few minutes previously.. or it can look like brown chocolate syrup, sprayed all over the walls and the ceiling of a restaurant bathroom. (Immodium usually prevents this, though). I never get tired of poo jokes, just watched the classic 'Brown Noise' episode of South Park again earlier in the week... (Alas, having a puppy and two older semi-housebroken dogs at home means I see a lot of poo).
  2. +1. Two Japanese hotties in an LS460hL with tinted windows. Or in a Century with the window blinds.
  3. Fun car...I've ridden a couple of them, one stock and one totally F&F style, w/ 600+ hp supposedly...fun, even with a neon green wiper. About the only Toyotas I've ever really liked were the original Supras, the angular '82-86 Supras, the last Supras, and a few Lexuses--the original SC and 2nd gen GS, in particular. I do like 4Runners and old Land Cruisers also.
  4. Heh-heh. I do think, though, that one of the reasons much of the world hates the US is poo envy--because of the typical American diet, we have the biggest and most explosive BMs of any country on average...
  5. Ah, Pontiac. The Excitement Brand <tm>.
  6. Only been one of those. The SRT-8 is pretty cool. I like the Overland trim also.
  7. Taken is on my to-see list. I usually like Besson's movies, and have always liked Liam Neeson.
  8. I've only seen two new movies in the theatre so far this year--'Gran Torino' and 'The International'. I've been a Clint fan since I was a kid in the late '70s watching his old Westerns w/ my Dad (and later the Dirty Harry movies). Gran Torino was very good, very well done, IMHO. Clint still is a powerful presence, even at 78. The International was a decent spy-type thriller, some good locations, Clive Owen as an Interpol agent up against a corrupt Swiss bank. Some upcoming movies I'm looking forward to are 'Watchmen', 'Duplicity', 'State of Play' (I liked the UK TV version, and this version has the always excellent Russell Crowe), and 'Angels and Demons' (I loved the book, and liked the 'DeVinci Code' adaptation)... As far as recent movies out on DVD, I've seen 'Lakeview Terrace' (Samuel L Jackson as the cop w/ issues next door), 'Body of Lies' (decent Middle East spy thriller w/ Leo DeCaprio and Russell Crowe) and 'Rocknrolla' (Guy Ritchie back w/ London gangsters, pretty good) in the last couple of weeks.
  9. <sarcasm> Well, Toyota doesn't do performance cars..and the public loves Toyota, and GM wants to emulate them... </sarcasm>
  10. Who knows, they could be Cherys!
  11. Interesting. This article gets me thinking of Saturn's old tag line: 'Saturn. A different kind of company. A different kind of car."
  12. I like it a lot also...looking forward to seeing it in person.
  13. So? It's wider..a Cadillac should be wider than a Chevy. What is your point??? The CTS was never intended to be a 3-series sized compact. It's price competitive with the 3, not size competitive. The CTS is a midsize, not remotely a 'large' car.
  14. No one ever said the CTS was 3-series sized. The CTS is slightly shorter than the Malibu. Your facts are invalid, you are just being argumentative.
  15. Why would you think it's a 'large' coupe? It's shorter than the CTS sedan, which is a midsize model. This is a relatively small coupe.
  16. Very interesting. I like that illustration of a 4th gen GC, the front end reminds me of the last of the 2nd gen models (2004).
  17. Well, the Eldo was a much bigger car...the CTS coupe is definitely NOT an Eldorado revival. It is interesting to contrast design trends and surfaces from about 18 years apart, though (since the last Eldorado dates from MY 92).
  18. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. I like the wheels..don't see why people are bitching about them.
  19. Yes... but from what I've read, there is going to a CLC, a 4dr 'coupe' styled like a small CLS. IIRC, when the CLK replaced the E-class coupe in '96, there was a price drop relative to the W124 E-class coupe it replaced. I would expect a price jump now that they are going the other way.
  20. Probably....Rush is the main 'intellect' amongst the Cons these days...what a sorry bunch.
  21. xpn looks interesting...will have to give it a try. On the computer, I've listened to Pandora a lot (not exactly internet radio, but streaming music), and Technicolor Web of Sound (www.techwebsound.com).
  22. Heh-heh...38 feels old some days, esp. in an industry full of punk-ass 25 yr olds that think they know everything.. ....I got an '87 Mustang GT for my 17th, bought a BMW M3 (2 yrs old) when I got my first really good paying job after grad school, bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee for my 30th. I'm torn between a practical luxury model like a CTS for my next daily driver, or a fun car like a Camaro, Mustang, Challenger..
  23. I don't know about posers, but I'd be interested in one... such a car (or a Challenger SRT8) would be a great midlife crisis car for me when I turn 40 in '10...
