1. As opposed to the Cut-Tax & Spend Conservative bull$h!? No one can spend as out of control as Republicans, as evidenced by the Bush/Cheney years... I am so sick of the hypocritical conservative nonsense in this country. They talk like their $h! doesn't smell because they think they have God on their side. F*ck 'em.
2. Yeah..that's what I was thinking of.
3. Well, there is this place called <reality>...... GM has to build cars for that. Some of us do live in the 21st century and understand <reality>.
4. A vote for McCain is a vote for the past. For the same old conservative bull$h!.
5. It would be cool to take a vintage radio like that and replace the innards with modern equipment so it has AM/FM, iPod jack, etc...
6. There is a huge middle in the US that neither party in the US really represents, I think...
7. I saw video of her this morning where she was encouraging her church to pray of a gas pipeline that she said God wanted Alaska to have. The Republican Party's embrace of the religious right is one of the many reasons why I could never, ever vote Republican.. too many irrational people. People like myself (atheist, pro-technology, pro-science), rational, modernist, have no place in that party. (And I'm not anti-religious..I know there are fanatical nut job groups within any religion. I have many rational friends that are religious--Jewish, Buddhist, Mormon, Catholic, etc).
8. Yes, that's the one in the Jalopnik article. Since the SMART has removable body panels, maybe an entrepeneur can tool up a HUMMER nose for the SMART, and badge it as the HUMMER 0.5
9. No doubt..quite flexible.
10. I seem to remember Car and Driver showing pics of a running mockup that was going to be the Corsica or Beretta that bore a strong similarity to the swoopy Citation IV concept that I saw as a kid at Epcot Center.
11. How was the visibility out the back? With the rear window inset like that, I would think it would be a challenge to parallel park or pull in or back out of parking spaces.. It's too bad Jeep didn't do something like the Avi... something smaller but with the same idea on a GC or Commander would have been really nice, I think.
12. Well, at least are still 3 different brand labels on the cars... they aren't going to be putting Buick badges on the Pontiac or vice versa...unless they are going to have a new 'BPG' brand for all of them that has the Buick trishield made of 3 V-crests as the logo.. Isn't the Buick-Pontiac-GMC reality like Lincoln-Mercury-- 2 brands, 1 dealer organization, maybe 1 marketing organization?
13. It would be a good car for carpooling.
14. Yes...that why I'm thinking of a Grand Cherokee diesel... it's the perfect size for me and can go off-road.
15. Probably a Galaxie or LTD, since it has the hood ornament.
16. I would have thought they would have put out the pics in green to emphasize it's eco-friendliness...
17. Here's the only pic I've seen without the models in the way..
18. Looks like a neat little underdog film.
19. Yeah...that CSX needs more chrome...not sure about the two tone paint.
20. What does that chart mean? Increase or decrease from current tax rates (columns 2 & 3) ? If so, I'd have a slightly ($410) bigger decrease under the AZ senator.
21. Yes, CSX is to Civic what G5 is to Cobalt. Same kind of blatant badge engineering. I wouldn't call the ES badge-engineered though, it's platform sharing with the Camry, as the Aura and G6 do with the Malibu. Or the current LaCrosse with the Impala. Same dirty bits, different body and interior.
22. Orlando, eh? I assume a Disney edition will be forthcoming....(didn't the Venture have such a trim level years ago?)
23. I wonder if the '09 will get the shield grille.
24. Random observation--for some reason, at least in Colorado, it seemed to me like 75% of the Camrys of that generation were dark green.
25. Fascinating..I knew about the Frigidares, but never knew there were any GM branded consumer products..
