  1. Yes...I forgot.. my bad. Great pic.
  2. That does it.. I'm going to go get fries...Jack in the Box is about a mile a way...or maybe I'll go to Rosie Mccaferty's Irish Pub, less than a mile..they have great fish n chips.
  3. Well, I thought perhaps once you become a father you would become more rational and move into the 21st century and get a minivan or a Camry.. (J/K :)
  4. Ambient 1: Music for Airports-Brian Eno
  5. I don't care for them..but there are definitely some Canadian musicians I like...Leonard Cohen. Neil Young. Robbie Robertson. Rush. Bruce Cockburn. Shania Twain. Tom Cochrane. The Tragically Hip. Daniel Lanois. etc..
  6. Mmm...getting a craving for good fries....smothered in Cheez-Wiz. Or some nice thick steak fries ('chips'). Maybe I'll buzz over the Irish pub for some fish & chips and pint.
  7. +2. Agreed.
  8. Yeah...it's # of weeks on the charts. Not a measurement of quality but of popularity. Turns out I have 17 of the 100 on my iPod, mostly old Beatles songs
  9. Hmm..haven't looked at the full list, but I have 2 of those 10 on my iPod.
  10. It's a Camry station wagon..sort of.
  11. Yes...I would have expected Boeing to drop, but it went up a bit today..
  12. +1
  13. +1
  14. Nice to see my GM stock up today...but alas, my Daimler AG stock is down.. but my Cisco, Google, Apple, Sun, Microsoft and Boeing stocks were all up...woo hoo.
  15. Ya...the whole 'skin a moose and make mooseburgers' shtick or whatever, 'NRA life membership', and 'extreme pro-life' stance I find disgusting. Inexperienced in government (a mayor of podunk and governor of a remote state don't count) and the far right wing angle is a total turn off.
  16. Yeah, those '71-72 LTD convertibles are goregous...I saw a '72 at a car show a few years that I would have loved to have taken home w/me--it black w/ a red interior, Magnum 500 wheels, 429...
  17. The hot swappable battery is the approach Better Place is wanting to use with their electric car plan, IIRC. There was an interesting article about them last month in Wired..they have some pretty ambitious ideas for electric car infrastructure, trying to get it off the ground in Israel and partnering w/ Renault, I've read...
  18. Hopefully the kid isn't going to demo derby it or used it for a race car..
  19. The thing is, the vast majority of people for their $16k or $32k or whatever (or what is really their $250 a month or $500 a month or whatever-most car buyers look at the monthly payment), want a new car..or a late model used car...not something 30-40 years old with 100k miles. That's reality. Old cars are neat for car shows and the occasional weekend drive, but most people want modern cars with modern features (safety features, efficiency, AM/FM CD player w/ iPod jack, A/C, power everything, well-designed cupholders, heated seats, etc). That is why your logic doesn't work for 99% of car buyers. Reading your arguments in these threads sometimes reminds me of the arguments by the Flat Earth Society or the Luddites.
  20. Yeah, some friends of mine had twins a couple of years ago..they were about 8 weeks early, IIRC...they spent 2 months in the neonatal ICU...was a difficult time for all involved.
  21. The front reminds me a bit of the Kia Soul
  22. I suppose they could bring it here to fit in the gap between the Corolla and Camry..
  23. That front end looks like tribute to a '30s Chrysler Airflow..wierd
  24. I like Biden..he was my favorite candidate when he ran previously. He seems like a no-BS kind of guy.
