  1. I'm sure, much like washer fluid, it could be refilled either by the Benz dealer, Jiffy lube, or the owner.
  2. Corolla is built in the U.S. Value of the dollar doesn't enter into it.
  3. Doh! :banghead: Logic is always trumped by stupidity!
  4. How much did you get taken for on the Corolla? In reality, you generally end up paying about the same car for car, feature for feature. The Japanese imports hit you for the money up front, the domestics hit you in the rear. That is... you pay more for a comparable Japanese vehicle, but you get higher resale value. You pay less for a comparable domestic vehicle, but you don't get much in resale. Is there really much difference paying $15,000 for an Ion getting $3,000 on trade and paying $18,000 on a Corolla and getting $6,000 on trade? Either way, you paid $12,000... but with the Corolla you paid interest on 18k instead of paying interest on 15k from the Ion. This is subject to change though as the domestics get their mojo back and stop offering big discounts to move cars.
  5. I"m more interested in long term dependability studies....
  6. definitely not clarinet or oboe. Too thin and there aren't any valves.
  7. just don't spin those cams to fast or she'll fly apart Capt'n!
  8. You really don't want to be on the business end of a B-52..... at least with a B-17 there's a chance you'd live.
  9. I'm no expert, but that looks like a practice pipe for a bagpipes.... especially with the way he's holding it.
  10. STS has had it from the start.
  11. Buick Lucerne
  12. I see you missed this part:
  13. you think that the bed bouncing around like that actually reduces Noise, Harshness, and Vibration? It's the suspension's job to absorb road imperfections, not the truck bed.
  14. I"m interested in seeing how an Avalanche would have gone through the course since it's bed is not separate from the cab.
  15. The Silvi had some control issues though. It's to be expected from a solid rear axle. Ford should be playing that Toyota vid over and over and over and over.......
  16. He moved it from Chrysler to a resurrected Plymouth
  17. I think the issue is more that the low end 300s should really be Plymouths instead.
  18. What about my lawnmower which pollutes more on one gallon of gasoline than a Ford Focus does with 20? How about addressing that issue?
  19. My first car was a 1985 Oldsmobile Toronado, purchased with 66k miles on it. It was stolen and totaled with ~160k miles on it. I'm considering getting rid of both my '04 CTS and '03 Avalanche and picking up another 1985 Toronado with low mileage. yes, you're crazy.
  20. I warn anyone against these. While they may be attractive, they are prone to electrical trouble and are near impossible to get parts for.
  21. Digital speedometers are teh suxors! oh .... this is a Toyota? Digital speedometers RAWK!
  22. fixed
  23. Neon coupe w/ Buick portholes and "chrome" edging on every seam.
  24. Thankfully all NJ police seem to leave their radar guns on full blast, full time, so any decent radar detector.... and certain dental work... can spot them a mile off.
