  1. No auto manufacturer is perfect but I can think of one who likes to subtly use spin PR to give the impression or implication that they are perfect.
  2. Yeah, let me know how that works out.
  3. Who are they going to conquest? Nissan probably. Dodge, some... I really can't see Ford, Chevy, or GMC owners trading en'mass to the Tundra. My dad won't trade in his 1996 F-150 with 180k miles on anything but another F-150. Though he is a bit disappointed that they no longer make the I6 model. The Toyota just isn't *that* much better if better at all. The domestics don't give any reason for people to move from the most fiercely loyal segment in the entire industry.
  4. I wonder what they'll build there.
  5. If they were pulling a "Toyota" they'd deny the problem for months while doing a silent recall.
  6. Acura doesn't have any higher end models. They just have Euro Accord De Lux, Accord De lux, and Accord De Lux AWD.
  7. How about an unbiased online magazine?
  8. wait, that Quest dash is for real?!
  9. What's with all the FWD Buicks in the snow?
  10. CPO CTS-V
  11. Considering the Astra is on it's way..... uhm... no
  12. UV8 is just a name
  13. 4000 miles a year? Better make them worth it. CTS
  14. They came to market with one competitive minivan. The Sedona/Entourage are just as much a badge job as the GM vans.
  15. stop driving it like you stole it. A smaller engine has to work harder to move such a large car than a midsize to larger engine does thereby negating the fuel efficiency of smaller displacement. This is the main reason all 3 engines in the 300c get about the same mileage.
  16. 1: 2: 3: 4: there, that was easy.
  17. From the Autoweek review:
  18. The I5 is every bit as good as a V6.... it is the rest of the truck that lost the sale. There are those who agree with the stigma of a minivan and don't want one yet still need the utility. Those same people also have heart failure when they see the EPA sticker on a Tahoe or Suburban. These people are willing to pay Tahoe/Suburban money for a people hauler, but don't want the look/stigma of a minivan or the gas mileage of an SUV. These are the people GM is targeting with the Lambda. The Outlook bases around 28k, a much higher transaction price than a 19k Lumi^h^h^hVent^h^h^hUplander. GM has effectively moved into a more upscale market. Why all the hubub?!
  19. More to the point, it's DCX that should be worried about minivans. Sure they make the top seller, but that also means they have the furthest to fall. They need to have an alternative in place to have a nice soft landing.
  20. This will put some serious hurt on Corolla/Matrix and possibly even Jetta/Rabbit.
  21. It would be one thing if GM was making minivans like Chrysler, but does anyone really miss the dustbusters? Will anyone really miss the current U-boats? Lutz is right, there is little to no room left for mini-van growth. They have the same stigma as wagons did in 1992.
  22. nice guys sometimes do get the prince...after kissing lots of toads. edit: They might finish last, but they usually also win best.
  23. Not being a mere human, Santa Claus obviously uses all ten dimensions. on Christmas day.
