Just when you though EMO couldn't get any worse....

Recommended Posts

It is a good thing to have slow news days or nothing happening at all like it is in North Dakota. I would not complain if I were any of you about not having worthy news or the news is slow and much is not happening. I live in the 4th largest city in the United States and watching the news here can depress you or make you fear going outside.

Just a thought.... :)

Not complaining, that is why I still live here.

There's a point system now?

Wow...I dunno what's more idiotic...the EMOs or the news story. Slow news day indeed!

I love how that idiot girl is going on amount "emotions" that normal people don't have. Hey f@#k$h!, everyone feels sad fromt time to time, we just don't all go slitting ourselves and crying for attention!

A point system for how much of a looser you are.

These punks need to get a hobby.

Sorta related, sorta not..I feel old..I did a google on 'screamo' and found a Wikipedia entry on 'screamo' bands.. I've never heard of any of them..

Screamo article on Wikipedia

lol. Some of those bands' names crack me up. Like 'Assfactor 4' and 'I hate myself'

Emo blows. It seems to be hitting the kids around here. Of course, most are from upper-middle class households, and listen to their depressing and anti-everything music on the iPods that their parents bought them.

'Assfactor 4' is quite the band name...some kids I knew in high school had a hair metal band called 'Defecator'...great name.

When I was in high school, some kids were into goth and industrial, and of course hair metal and punk...the Dead Kennedys had plenty of fans, as did hair bands like Motley Crue, Warrant, Ratt, Poison.

I was more into post-punk..Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, The Cure, New Order, U2, Echo & The Bunnymen, Peter Gabriel.. some hard rock--AC/DC, Van Halen, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses-- and classic rock and blues, which I still love--The Who, Eric Clapton (saw him Sunday night in Phoenix w/ Robert Cray, great show), Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, etc.

The only problem I have with emo kids cutting themselves is that they don't do it deep enough. They need to stop whoring for attention and either $h! or get off the pot. Finish the deed or suck it up like normal people do.

I'm a little late on this article, but I had to laugh at the fact that the websites that news station used as examples are actually websites that make fun of emo. But emo is still a stupid trend...my little 13 year old cousin is going through it right now (has the whole Myspace setup and posts 10 bulletins a day about how much life sucks).

When I was 13, I was out riding bikes and exploring the woods behind my friend's house, not cooped up behind a computer compulsively checking every three minutes to see if someone responded to the latest blog.

it's not a bad place to be, if your work is good, the clean air and open spaces and lack of liberal and socialist agendas in that state are very nice! Low cost of living. Every place is what you make it. I'd move back if I could get a decent job in my field, I think.

It's so stupid, really... the kids think it's all a big joke too. If for any reason I wear a band-aid, the first thing they say is, "Mr. G, you're emo!"

Emo is the Nu-Goth. Simple as that.

Hmmm ... as for the music, imagine the Grunge movement and Hardcore/Hardcore Punk genres as fuel rods in a nuclear reactor in some freaky musical Chernobyl. When the reactor eventually blew, you get the hazardous byproduct of Emo. God knows the half-life, hopefully it's short.

What the f@#k was that?

EMO is pretty stupid, and the music irritates me.

What I hate more are white guys who act 'gangsta' with the puffy jackets, crappy jewelry, stupid words, and idiotic attitude. At least EMO's don't have the self-confidence to talk to people. 'Gangstars' on the other hand, are always being morons. THeir music sucks too.
