  1. I haven't driven a bike enough to be able to comment (that will change soon though hopefully)... But I know in a car you can shift without using the clutch easily (that is, when you aren't starting from a stop)...just gotta know the shift points.
  2. Here Yeah, nothing too interesting...
  3. 6 aftermarket gauges? What the hell could you possibly need 6 additional gauges for?! The damn thing isn't even forced induction. What a load of crap.

    SCCA Autocross!

Yeah, if you have a set of racing wheels and tires then that's one thing (I wish I never got rid of the 2 sets of stock 17" bmw rims I had)...but if you're running on your daily driven rims surrounded by $1500 worth of rubber, then you've got another issue...

    SCCA Autocross!

I'm a BMWCCA member so I have access to all the events that take place...I almost attended an autocross a couple weeks ago down at Qualcomm stadium in San Diego but decided against it because I need new tires soon and I'm trying to get the most out of my current set... Usually entrance fees are around 45 bucks or so (or at least that's what it runs for BMWCCA chapter races)...

  7. Funny...I've just started to get back into biking. I was just looking around and I might be interested in moving up to a nicer bike compared to my probably close to 10 year old GT something or other hardtail...
  8. Judging from the article, sounds like these are the new rims... not sure if I like those... EDIT: Nevermind...these pics show the new rims...look similar except for the split spokes... The interior update is nice.

    Pictures!

Here's basically 3 of the same... It's almost 1 in the morning, and after a long mountain bike ride, and then the spa, followed by a car meet and a bit of racing I'm kind of a mess right now... Unfortunately, when I took the pictures, they looked a lot brighter on my phone...kind of worthless now...
  10. God I love this truck.
  11. yep...if anything they have one thing in common...they're both ugly.
  12. I'm too used to my facial hair...my constant 5-o'clock shadow (trimmed every morning or else it turns into a full beard in no time) add to my appearance quite a bit I think. Gives me that rugged, badass look.
  13. Oh god yes! Finally! A newer BMW I truly like! The interior is cockpit styled again (like older BMW's) which is awesome, and the neo-futuristic/retro touch is pulled off well I think. The exterior looks great...the front could use some work in places, but the profile and rear look fantastic! I love it.
  14. I go as fast as traffic allows...No traffic? Then my foot becomes one with the floorboard.
  15. It's pronounced 'nucular'. Nucular.
  16. A '93 S2000? Interesting... Is it a boat? (the engine at least being a honda marine engine)...
  17. Wow...that's weird that it uses the same speedo for kph...so what happens when you go past 200kph on the speedo (roughly 125mph)? I'd assume the car keeps climbing and it wouldn't have some weird kph limiter...kind of a neat function though. I always noticed the "MPH" and "KPH" on the speedo, but never knew what the KPH was for as there were no KPH markings...kinda neat that it can switch back and forth. There's ways to hack into my car's OBC (which is really easy and I like to do it to monitor my engine core temp...it's more accurate). But one of the cool things is it can show you your exact velocity...it's in KPH but it's pretty cool regardless...in fact, everything for the most part when you hack the OBC goes to German and metric system...still kinda cool though. One of the options is a gauge cluster test where all the lights go on in the cluster and the speedo and tach go all the way up a couple times. I'll have to go on some runs and take some pictures...some of the stuff is pretty cool. Monitoring the amount of gas in each side of the tank (the tank is composed of 2 sections so it shows one side/the other side/total amount. Another shows how much fuel is being consumed/100km, another shows instant fuel consumption...there's a ton of cool stuff, and a lot I have no idea about. It has helped me out quite a few times though...especially the core temp one.
  18. No, it's in MPH...besides, that would make the top speed of the car 125mph (doing the conversion on the top speedo speed reading).
  19. Your car is running very cool...also, isn't redline 6500? or is that just for LS2's? I should take pics of my speedo...I've maxed it out before, but because the limiter is removed I don't know exactly how fast I was going...5th gear alone will max out the speedo (155)...It still pulls fairly well after that, but it will probably hit its drag limit around 170 or so.

    Uh... ooook

    Apparently meal worms are...
  21. Just to throw in a recent incident... Some of you may have heard about this, but for others... A movie director and his young 20-something (want to say 23) son were killed in a car accident on PCH last week. They were killed when a drunk driver hit them head on. To give a bit of background info, this movie director did "A Christmas Story" and the "Porky's" series. The drunk driver walked away with minor scratches and bruising... ...Oh yea...one more thing...the drunk driver was an illegal alien...
  22. Happy B-Day Dudes!
  23. Just as long as it is the non-alpina version...It's a shame it never drove as good as it looked...even with the S62 and 6-speed it was never that great of a driver's car...Still one of my favorite looking Bimmers though.

    2007 G35

My mom actually had one for a rental yesterday while her X5 was in for new brake pads. You can bet I mobbed the hell out of that thing. I was pleasantly surprised with it, actually. The interior is somewhat nicer in person as well. Very cool at night, too.
  25. Why Subaru?! Why!?
