  1. I am trying to withhold judgment until I see it in final production form, but I truly hate the look of "tombstone-like" center stacks. It looks awful in the es350, and I'm not liking it here.
  2. 24k and you can't even get a decent set of wheels? Really?
  3. One of the strangest things I have seen so far this year is this thing: It had BMW roundels on it...
  4. I have a buddy with an 01 330 that just rolled over 175k with no significant issues outside of general maintenance. The 3ers are pretty good cars. They have those I6s dialed in rather well.
  5. Well, I dunno...I've been inside a cobalt. Actually, that is a lie, but I can imagine the two are very similar.
  6. I need to know how the dash materials feel.
  7. Yeah, I didn't read that. Now I do hate it.
  8. I don't care that it can't use the carpool lane. In fact, I am glad it can't. I think it is bull$h! that hybrids can use the carpool lane (granted, I do understand the original aim of the carpool lane was to reduce fuel consumption, which is why I am glad that, as a motorcyclist, I am allowed to use it).
  9. M62B44tu M62 4.4l technical update (vanos) Mileage in this pic is a hell of a lot less than what it has right now, and a different engine too, but otherwise, unchanged from this pic. Current mileage is in the 160xxx range, probably around 100xxx on the engine, or somewhere close to it. For those not in the know...99 BMW 540i 6-speed.
  10. The idea that bigger is better.
  11. Knowing GM's supplier for lighting (or if not that, poorly engineered electrical for the lights) it wouldn't surprise me in the least to know that it is just a blown out turn signal light. I swear, nearly every GMT-800 truck and suv I see has only one functioning running light, and remembering back to the days of our Suburban, the rear turn signals would always go out as well. Seriously though, with the time it took you to make a post about it you could've simply flipped the signal and walked out to check and see if it was functioning.
  12. Woah...98 is real? I thought we just replaced his name with one of those bots.
  13. Your name is very familiar. What other forums do you hail from?
  14. Man I love Spykers...I see them all the time around here, surprisingly (or not). They are just so bizarre. That Lagonda is hot, too. As is the CTS coupe concept. Amazing how much better it looks than the production model, even though seemingly very little changed.

Nothing wrong with you...the editor on the other hand... The pictures even show the badge clearly displayed as ETV.
  16. Ours was odd for a while...3 white BMWs and a lowrider green chevy pickup with ghost flames.
  17. Buddy just got it...For free. (I've already given him my condolences).

Good bump! In recent news I was at a Vietnamese place in the valley downing some pho when I got the sudden urge to unload. I squatted over the toilet as the bathroom was none too clean. Results turned out better than expected.
  19. What the....Weren't there a few other posts in here within the past hour?
  20. BMW 540, then pocket the difference for future maintenance.

Do it! Don't worry about it being your first time. It will be lots of people's first time. Typically there are different classes, so don't worry about your car being stock. There will probably be a stock class that suits your car. It can be rough on a car, but depending on the layout chances are it won't get up to very high speeds, and it will most likely be a tighter, lower speed layout. Autox's are usually in parking lots or airports, etc, so you don't have to worry about terrain undulations too much...it will mostly be flat. These events are very welcoming to beginners, and the people running it are always happy to help out those who are new. They take pride in it because it gets people from racing on the street to a more controlled environment. Also, an instructor will always drive with you through your first run so you can et acclimated to the track. This happens if you are a beginner or not, but it is very helpful. This is all with BMW CCA anyway...
  22. Just paid $3.45 for 91 out here, and it is going up.
