4. Andrea Boccelli & Sarah Brightman: CON TE PARTIRO (time to say goodbye)

Sarah Brightman is pretty good. Her latest album has a strong Middle Eastern vibe and it's amazing. I bought her concert DVD and the songs are even better life.

Hmmm.... sounds interesting,

I told my G/F to play CON TE PARTIRO at my funeral if she's around

and I'm not, but it's gotta be that version, with Sarah Brightman.

7. Pussycat Dolls: BEEEEP

10. Daddy Yankee: GASOLINA

Good ones. I'll add with stuff of the same genre:

Beyonce and Jay Z - Deja Vu

Cassie - Me and You

Cherish, Sean Paul, YoungBloodz - Do it to It

E-40 - You and Dat

Field Mob and Ciara - So What

Fort Minor - Where'd You Go

Lil Jon - Snap Ya Fingas

Nelly Furtado - Promiscuous

Ray Ray - Tell 'Em What They Wanna Hear

Shakira and Wyclef Jean - Hips Don't Lie

Tone Tone - Love the Way She Doin' It

Young Dro - Shoulder Lean

Then again, just about any song makes my foot go, even if I don't like it lol. But, I've got to admit that the stuff on Tokyo Drift soundtrack is REAL good.

oh yeah, you know mustang would jump in on this one. :CG_all:

John Parr-St.Elmo's fire - big time upbeat and TWO HEARTS from the movie American Anthem

Def Leppard Pyromania and Hysteria nearly the whole albums are finger tappin tunes

Meatloaf usually can produce some good upbeat tunes. both Bat Out of Hell albums, I would do anything for love, out of the frying pan and into the fire, wasted youth, everything louder than everything else...

Danger Danger - Rock America is definitely the exact sort of upbeat song I was thinking of. that whole Danger Danger album is awesome. Turn it On, Naught Naughty, Bang Bang

Cheap Trick Mighty Wings is a forgotten CT tune, but its about as upbeat as it gets. From the top gun soundtrack, after you hear this song, you want to fly high in planes and shoot stuff down. One of Cheap Tricks best songs. Kenny Loggins Danger Zone is very upbeat also.

Van Halen upbeat tunes- yes like mentioned above, also Dance the Night Away, Dreams, Why Can't This be Love, Can't Stop Loving You, Humans Being, This Dream is Over

Sammy and Dave each have a great deal of solo upbeat songs.......which I would need to research properly to list them here

Andy Taylor - I Might Lie

Kane Roberts- Outlaw, Fighter, If This Is Heaven, Twisted

Asia- Heat of the moment, Don't Cry, Go, Day Like These

Blondie- Dreaming, Maria, Hanging On the Telephone, ...far too many others

Brooks and Dunn - Only In America, My Maria, countless others

No Doubt - Just A Girl

Tommy Shaw - Girls With Guns

Fire Inc. (from Streets Of Fire) Tonight is What it Means to Be Young and Nowhere Fast (both will get you pumpin!)

3. Golden Earing: RADAR LOVE

4. Andrea Boccelli & Sarah Brightman: CON TE PARTIRO (time to say goodbye)

Pantho, some good ones there:

3. Radar Love - nice and white trashy, great driving stuff

(what about "Hot Rod Lincoln" then? I haven't a clue who did that)

4. Con Te Partiro - love it, fantastic, uplifting. I love all his $h!.

Let's add a few black female vocalists who kick ass and help nudge the speedometer upward:

Tina Turner - "Private Dancer" and "Break Every Rule" - title cuts are the better ones

Pointer Sisters - "Neutron Dance" - heard it 2x while in Florida last month

(Someone stole my brand new Chevrolet

and the rent is due

and I've got no place to stay...oooh ooooh)

Patti LaBelle - "Lady Marmalade"

(Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir?)

Aretha Franklin - "Freeway of Love - Pink Cadillac"

(Could you be a vision in white...how'd you get your pants so tight?)

Crystal Waters - "Gypsy Woman - She's Homeless"

(Dadadee dadada

dadadee dadada

dadadee dadada

...and on and on and on...

and a whole boatload of synthesizer)

4. Andrea Boccelli & Sarah Brightman: CON TE PARTIRO (time to say goodbye)

Nothing including Sarah Brightman can ever be dissed. Simply an amazing voice.

Anywhoo...one of my favorite upbeat songs of all time is Angel Pumping Gas by The Lindsey Pool. Also most Postal Service songs (The District Sleeps Alone Tonight=musical perfection) and Donkey Punch songs (Oops, My bad is hilarious) would make it onto my list. Just about anything classical (Beethoven, Mozart, etc) does wonders for the psyche.

classical music sends me into fits of rage. ditto for that one REM song that just goes on and on and on and never seems to end so you start hallucinating and swerving to hit small animals and realizing you are screaming at the top of your lungs for god to kill you now and then you finally change the radio station.

That one REM song? Dont you mean every REM song? I swear if I hear Man on the Moon or Losing my Religion ever again, someone is going to be severely maimed.

Nice to see another person who has no problem proclaiming that...even having tried several brands, almost all of them taste nasty.

I know; I feel the same way. Everybody says, "Well, it's an acquired taste." So.. are they saying I'll have to drink it over and over, without liking it anyway, and maybe I'll like it after having it continuously?

That's almost like saying I should eat brussel sprouts for three days straight, then maybe I'll like those, too.

Hot Rod Lincoln is a great tune...

BTW Balthy:

I downloaded "Dragster - Johnny Fortune" and it's a great

tune... I've heard of this song before but never knew it

was acoustic. Very good tune. The other 2, "Hot Rod Man"

and "Black & White Thunderbird" did not produce any

dowloadable hits on Limewire. :(

Some others:

1. Rob Zombie: Dragula

2. Marlyn Manson: Beautiful People

3. Southern Culture on the Skids: The Corn Rocket (Super Troopers Soundtrack)

4. Boston: Amanda

5. Cold Play: Clocks

6. Sarah Mclaughlin: Sweet Surender

7. Creedence Clearwater Revival: Proud Mary

8. Dead Milkmen: Bitchin' Camaro

9. Tom Cochran: Life Is A Highway

10. Filter: Take My Picture

11. Cars: Drive

12. G&R: Nov. Rain

13. Ramones: Go Lil' Camaro Go!

The Allman Brothers - Blue Sky
