  1. I honestly didn't even know they had Malibu hybrid ...
  2. Right my own opinion on that not being a troll, just pointing out MB has changed from what was viewed by most as a Luxury only automaker to what what it really is, a global automaker selling entry level FWD Blah appliances to ubber luxury level auto's as stupid crazy prices. IMHO. MB is no different than any other auto company out there with cheap ass version auto's to mid range to luxury to ubber luxury. End result, Mercedes-Benz is NOT a Ubber Luxury auto company any longer. After all those cheap ass plastic delivery vans are sold alongside an S-Class on the same lot. Done with this rant, back to the Non V CT4. Has potential, be interesting to see what all it does once it is on the lots for sale. Hope GM actually Markets them properly to drive sales.
  3. I remembered it... Hell, I reviewed it.
  4. Gah! not sure why you'd want to copy that last one.
  5. That wagon is sharp with the escalade tail lights, but we all know that Cadillac styling has moved on from the purely vertical blades these days.
  6. Cadillac isn't done with engines for either of them.
  7. Good, they need to do this. Ford has been leaving them in the literal dust in the off-road segment. Even Ram has that powerwagon which is a different kind of off-roader, but still better than anything Chevy or GMC are fielding.
  8. The great mystery... Still no compact EV CUV sized similar to big selling CRV, RAV4, Rogue etc but a lot of compact cars/hatchbacks.
  9. Right, GM is using transparency to force the UAW to come to fair terms. Love the way this is being done by GM and hope all auto companies that have to deal with the corrupt greedy unions follow this road map. No need for hiding anything. Show the fair deal and let the union members tell their greedy lazy leadership to take it. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/gm-strikes-dont-pack-economic-punch-they-once-did/ar-AAHqEz4?li=BBnb7Kz I also agree that as @daves87rs stated, this is a good deal and they should jump on it as a Union strike is NOT going to have the impact on the US as they did in the 70's or 80's. Those days are over.
  10. General Motors is planing a range of updates for their full-size trucks starting in the 2021 model year, beginning with updated interiors. Also coming is a Silverado ZRX aimed to take on the likes of the Ford F-150 Raptor and the Ram 1500 Rebel. The ZRX would come with an improved off-road suspension, special DSSV Dampers like on the Colorado ZR2, rear and front locking differentials, and improved approach and departure angles. If Chevy uses the same recipe they did on the ZR2, the ZRX will likely also get unique front and rear fascias. One thing that isn't changing though is the powertrain. It's rumored that the ZRX will continue to use the same 6.2 liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft of torque. This is disappointing as the Raptor and Rebel TRX both get more powerful engines than their on-road counterparts. If these plans come to fruition, expect the Silverado ZRX to come out in 2021 as a 2022 model. View full article
  11. Would you use an App for C&G if we had one?
  12. Interesting story as the wages come out and how they average across the 3 Detroit companies with entry at 15 to 17 an hour and skilled, legacy and production making up to 36, 33 and 29 an hour. Average worker on the assembly line this year has made between 75 to 100,000 salary plus bonus for assembly line work. I know nurses and engineers that do not make that. UAW is well paid and they are being greedy. Intersting how the stories are showing that the UAW has a $750 million war chest to handle strikes but felt it was important to increase this so took higher dues to bring it to $850 million for this GM strike which is to set the tone for strikes against Ford and FCA. Something stinks in the UAW Leadership.
  13. Corporations need to be somewhat greedy to survive, especially when it's the UAW union we're talking about, they have always financially beat on the Big 3 (now Big 2 and FCA). Most of these union workers get somewhere in the vicinity of $35/hr., that's more than enough for what they do and GM is offering a 2% raise so it's not like they aren't trying to work something out. It's pretty clear that more of the greed leans toward the UAW top brass. My father was part of the Steel Workers Union back in the 70's and early 80's and he said unions are always very greedy and he would never be a part of one again and wasn't after '83. GM paid out a pretty healthy profit sharing check to the tune of $10,750 to 46,500 hourly employees in Feb. 2019, that's a pretty fat check and just shy of $500M in profits that GM handed them. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/general-motors/2019/02/06/gm-profit-sharing-checks-uaw-workers/2783459002/ There's a reason the president of the UAW just had his home raided by the FBI for corruption allegations. The last UAW president had a cottage built with UAW money, that's not possible without major corruption going on.
  14. Cadillac is lost on styling. Their new stuff looks "Mazda Inspired". But, they have also shown a lot of inconsistencies and indecision, hence who knows if the next vehicle will go back to the previous gen cues, stay the course or go in a totally new direction.
  15. GM losing $90M a day per BofA just offered 2% raises on top of previous offer, but cut off Healthcare to the 50k striking picketers because UAW can offer paid COBRA. Just take the generous deal greedy UAW. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/sources-gm-offers-2percent-raises-in-uaw-contract-ends-health-care/ar-AAHqRV8?li=BBnb7Kz
  16. Or you could just hire an all-new workforce. A job is NOT a job for life.
  17. Not going to get $10K for just the engine option. Its not a DuraMax...
  18. That's the grim reaper from the old Nintendo game Kid Icarus.
  19. Very true on that and this just hit that tends to reinforce the recession I believe we are heading into: https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/17/business/overnight-lending-rate-spike-ny-fed/index.html
  20. Horse with Blinders on I see, you clearly have been in your out dated old E-Class too long and not in a new Plastic C or A class auto as the CT4 interior is every bit as good and I am betting better than the C or A class interiors. With that said we BOTH have made ASSumptions here since the car is not on the lots yet. So your "interior hasn't been improved any," is totall BS at this point.
  21. Well, I think it is well known that the "real" V-Series is yet to show itself. So ti isn't exactly like putting a turbo 4 in place of the SS's V8. If they priced it at 30k, why would anybody consider an A Class? Smaller car, much weaker engine, and it costs almost 3k more?
  22. The Detroit Bureau agrees with that. https://www.thedetroitbureau.com/2019/09/health-care-remains-formidable-hurdle-to-clear-in-gm-uaw-negotiations/
  23. Why not use the Supercharged V8 they have in it, that would make sense to me.
  24. Your opinion on "cheap ass version auto's" is a starting price of $32,500? Our opinion on "cheap" is vastly different. The average transaction price of "entry level luxury cars" is over 42k. I know we all have varying opinions on things but I don't know anybody who things a $40,000 compact car is considered "cheap". https://finance.yahoo.com/news/average-car-prices-more-1-110000010.html Isn't it a little larger? If it were to be the same price but offer more room and better engines(save for whatever the "real" V-Series comes out as), how isn't that better than the ATS?
  25. I don't think the 6.2 is all that deficient (460 vs 510); people aren't racing these off-road stock and many mod them anyway. Does the highest HP in every niche segment outsell all others? This is a dedicated off-road package for GM buyers. And that’s a good thing.
  26. Ahhh it was just the intentional troll comment.
  27. @balthazar Thought you of all people would appreciate this!
  28. OK. Who would buy it here when an automaker could build an Equinox-sized version and almost literally mint money?
  29. Leasing cars does not explode until the 1980s because subsidized leases do not become commonplace until then.
  30. The GLC is rear wheel drive. Top 4 sellers in order in the USA are GLC, C-class, GLE, E-class. All 4 are rear drive, all 4 offer a V8.
  31. As long as the app carried the same features as the mobile site, then absolutely. Another plus is not being one of those crash happy apps. Stability is your friend.
  32. GM laid out their side, showed their hand.... what is the UAW asking for that isn't in the deal?
  33. Ridiculous. UAW is all about GREED. Compare them to a Socialist Gov't. and the similarities are pretty apparent. They need to be shut down for sure, but they're so political anymore with special interest groups pushing them that it would be hard. GM will just keep building on their automation, adding more robots when each one can do the job of several greedy humans.
  34. GM and Ford need to get out of these unions. Toyota and Honda aren't using union labor and you don't see them with labor issues.
  35. Try Mexico. Pretty sure GM would be dumb to test the tariffs right now. GM is automating the the next few years UAW or not. Union knows this.....
  36. I wonder how it would land if GM actually replaced their union workforce with a nonunion one.
  37. It is kind of a catch 22, because the UAW wants more for their workers, but the more they get paid the more GM is going to be motivated to automate more jobs or build more cars in China. It is a fine balance.
  38. Sounds like the best deal they are going to get. They better jump on it!!!
  39. Jesus, dude.. simmer down. You're over thinking this waaaaay too much. My initial response was to @dfelt anyway. My mental note is you go nuts over the smallest of things.
  40. Everybody look at @surreal1272 He's at it again. No chill from that keyboard. i'M gOoD. sOrRy fOr AnY eScAlAtiOn oN mY pArT.
