  1. Please go. No one is stopping you. There's daily nonstop service from PHL by their own Lufthansa and some American carriers as well. Since you are seeming slightly anti-American at this juncture, I recommend Lufthansa. And, since you've never shown much of a penchant for foreign languages on here over the years, you will have one hell of a time learning to communicate in German.

  8. I love Ramblers and the year of hell living in Texas, the only bright spots was the BBQ and my brick home on Grapevine lake. Loved the home, have the blue prints as I hope to build it here in Washington some day. Visited my sister who with her partner moved into their Custom Rambler they had built on a horse acre. Some rock work, but mostly various kinds of wood which is common here in the great PNW. As one can see, a totally GM family! Totally 100% German from the north eastern side of the country. Course and I married Korean. Boy did that piss off my grandparents at first, but then they came to love my wife once they met her. Everyone can change and learn to love our Multi-Cultural country and world we live in.

Haha, I guess my email put up a wall of self-defense because I got a quarter of a million notifications from "Random Thoughts" within a short span of time which triggered a warning from C&G "please enter a new email address associated with your account because your email is no longer accepting messages". I do have a lot to do in the next few hours though. I am packing my sh!t and moving to Germany, as I'm deathly afraid for my safety here in the USA. I mean seriously.

  13. BMW announced today their new flagship electrical SUV, the BMW iX. This SUV will launch late in 2021 as a 2022 model. The style will likely be controversial as it retains the concepts overly large kidney grill front end but maintains a sleek drag coefficient of 0.25 Cd which is equal to the Tesla X. This AWD SUV has one motor per axles giving a combined 370 kW or 500 horsepower with a 0 to 62 mph of under 5 seconds. A 100 kW battery pack that will give 600 kilometers on the WLTP cycle or 300 plus miles on the EPA cycle FTP-75. These figures are subject to change once official testing is done. The BMW iX has a 200 kW charging controller for DC fast charging that will allow up to 80% charged battery in 40 minutes equaling about 75 miles of range every 10 min. For level 2 home charging, it will take less than 11hrs for a full battery recharge from zero. The interior is a appears to be a two tone renewable material based on past comments from BMW. They have gone with a minimalist interior, but using what appears to be jewel like controls for the doors and center console. One observation is the metal rings in the top section of the seats just below the headrest. One does have to wonder if shorter drivers and front passengers might not hit their head on this. An interesting trend as we have seen Cadillac do this with the speakers built into the sides of the Head rest area on the seats. BMW announced in 2019 that they would have a dozen EVs by 2025 which was later revised to be 25 new electrified models on sale by 2023, majority will be pure ev. View full article

  14. Or how tens of thousands of folks, in a handful of deep red states, signed petitions to secede from the union in 2008 and 2012 when a black democrat became president and was then re-elected. We definitely saw how that worked out.

  19. Yes, I love one-story homes. I much prefer hip roofs to gabled roofs, though. They make the house look more dynamic from different angles. As for Texas, I am a much bigger fan of the Houston area than the Dallas area. I like the southern pine instead of the mesquite. And being able to get to the Gulf in less than an hour. This might crack you up. I've always liked going through new homes, even when I was a kid. In about 1989, I was visiting the Seattle suburbs and was driving around Mill Creek with a college friend, where they were building new homes. They had a subdivision with some 4/2.5s at about $174.9K. They had ONE rambler/ranch model, a 3/2.5, for $156.9K. I loved that house. And, for those days, the price looked reasonable. I was in no way in any position to buy at that time, but I still think about that house and how I'd like to be its owner.

  27. I checked online--in a state of 11.69 million people, EA currently has only 10 stations in Ohio. Two in the Cleveland metro area--in the east and west burbs along I-90. One a couple hours south on I-77. Next one south on I-77 is Wytheville, Va...263 miles between. (I-77 is the typical route I've used in the past coming from/going to Florida, for example).

  29. Its fixable. They are building onto our subdivision, my wife and I jsut ahd a good time walking new homes a few days ago. Maybe Blu wants to reconsider Germany....we know how much he likes bling and 24 inch wheels, and they just won't work well with electric German cars. This was a great song for cruising around back when I was in High school. And yes, just like the song says, the cars back then had 8 tracks... I really dig the police car in the screen cap... 31. AWESOME AWESOME EV News today: 6K Energy develops small-particle NMC 811 with UniMelt Plasma Production Platform. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/6k-energy-develops-small-particle-nmc-811-with-unimelt-plasma-production-platform/ What this means is higher energy density for batteries, reduced rare earth elements but increased nickel content and smaller battery size. Win Win Win for all things from EV's to smartphones. Ford & Google conducted survey's in the US, UK and Germany. 60% of the people said they would rather wait longer for delivery via a clean EV powered van than an ICE auto especially diesel powered. This is up 12% from when the last survey was done at the start of this year. Ford has indicated that ahead of the reveal of the Transit family of electric Van options, purchasing interest has exploded with companies putting in reservations for EV vans. USPS had 2 of the 4 finalist auto's to replace the extremely old current fleet that are EV and has indicated EV with a lower maintenance cost is leading this change. UPS, FedEx and many other delivery services are all moving to EV fleets. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1130237_ford-e-transit-vans-growing-demand-for-electric-delivery-services Texas Instrument Announces a new generation of gallium nitride field-effect transistors and controllers for EV charging. https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1130236_texas-instruments-boost-electric-car-range-downsize-onboard-chargers Why is this important? These new products allow the onboard charging system of all auto EVs to be reduced in size by 50% while doubling the power density and increasing efficiency. This means that the new 800V onboard chargers in a Porsche or Hummer 1st Edition truck could go to 1,600V charging reducing charge times by half while helping to double the energy density of existing power storage. A visual example is that in the 2nd generation Prius onboard chargers / inverters it was the size of a standard large suit case and now with Toyota's 3rd generation of onboard chargers / inverters they have it down to an over head small suit case. This reduces weight, increases efficiency. Delphi is supplying 800V charging for a number of Luxury auto EV builders as well as others, they have indicated that faster versions was coming but have not committed to what it would be. TI seems to imply that the 800V days will be only a few years before we flip to much faster charging standards. As of today, Audi, Porsche, VW, GM, Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai/Kia/Genesis have all committed to 800V (350kWH) charging which is faster than current Tesla (250 kWH) charging or anyone else.

  32. That's right. To Amish folks, those of apparent European descent who are not part of their religious group would be "the English." That's funny to me, since I don't have any ancestry north of the English Channel, let alone the Alps.

  38. Seems FCA during their 3rd quarter earnings call stated to stay tune as RAM will have an Electric RAM Pickup in the near future, but no other details. Guess RAM is not wanting to get left behind by Ford or GM, though as we expect electric trucks from Ford and GM in 2022 as 2023 models, I would not expect RAM to have anything till 2023 at the earliest if not 2024 or 25. https://chargedevs.com/newswire/fiat-chrysler-ceo-talks-about-electric-pickup/

  42. its a premeditated attempt to suck you into believing you don't have -individual- rights, and have no right to your own point of view...Much less act in your own interest. But the nation is founded on emphasizing the right of the individual within the bounds of not infringing in the rights of others. That's why every bullying attempt at forcibly enacting certain things is to sell it as a 'right', and that you are infringing. It's all certain groups have in most arguments but we are played emotionally to believe our 'life/soul/very existence' depends on it. No, --their-- pocketbook depends on it is usually more the case. Cooperating globally is a great concept but we should not bullied into thinking we as a fairly well to do country should be punished and extorted into giving up all sorts of taxes, fines and moneys to global organizations in the interest of 'cooperation' and rights. Until we understand that the nation was founded on the individual, the being bullied into being involved into every social and political issue will continue. The answer is no, people are allowed to care to varying levels about a myriad of issues.
