  1. Love that Washington Plated GTO, those auto's Rock and on a dry day no less. That Pontiac show I heard was really good.
  2. I agree with Bill, I think the ATS-V will be RWD only, CTS-V will be AWD and the date is for giving breathing room to the ATS-V sales.
  3. Proportions look nice, I do like the quad exhuast and interesting from vertical bars. I can see the Vertical LED daytime lights in the front lower facia as well as it looks like LED's around the headlights. Traditional bulge in the hood for the supercharger. Very exciting to see this model out and about.
  4. Cute little bugger, wonder what it would look like with a Buick or Chevy Nose, maybe even a GMC nose.
  5. I thought Apple was into Tesla with that big Ipad screen in the middle.
  6. Wow SMK you must have a Special Custom built E550 as I have yet to see what you say on them. The ones I have seen around here lose out every time to the CTS.
  7. Just got called by my cadillac dealer who is having a special 2015 party at Wine World where people can check out the new ELR, CTS and Escalade and do test drives. I am going so will take pics and give my input on the drive.
  8. I would rather see GM put R&D efforts into using flexible carbon fiber to reduce the weight of auto's and still hold up to the pounding of the real world. http://www.carbitex.com/ I like what they are doing and figure you could get carbon fiber body panels that can take an impact and then return to original shape. Much like the original saturn auto's.
  9. Interesting, I wonder just how well the bodies will hold up to real world use.
  10. How much nicer than the CTS? I sat in a CTS luxury and a V-sport at the auto show and while it is better than previous Cadillacs, I think it is on par with the Infiniti Q50 and is not up to A6 or E-class level. One odd thing about the CTS is the back seat bottom cushion is really short and ends then a carpeted section sticks out past that, it wreaks of poor design and cheap construction. The doors on the CTS also have the same handles as the Malibu and they sound like a Malibu when closed. A Cadillac should not have the same door handle as a $20k Chevy. The other question is if they have nicer and better materials than what are in the CTS, why didn't the CTS get those materials, because it could use them, why waste them on a car that won't sell. I have to totally disagree with you as the CTS is every bit as competitive to the A6 or E class and way better than a Q50. You have drank way to much marketing juice to be able to really see the improvements. Than again you seem to rarely if ever knock your Bavarian auto's unlike you do to American auto's.
  11. Amazing that People would bash the heck out of a US based auto company if they produced and tried to sell this but it is OK for garbage like this to exist and no one cares because it is Asian.
  12. Wasn't the air injection a requirement for California emissions in the 80's?
  13. Wasn't that to do with boing between two museums/buildings or something?
  14. I have to challenge the validity of this JD powers report in regards to Lexus. I have multiple family members in California who have Lexus auto's and they are constantly in the shop. My Aunt traded in her old Lexus, 3yrs old which had all kinds of problems and got a new RX SUV last Oct and she is so frustrated that she has started to look around for some other luxury small SUV. Sadly due to her son inlaw who is so hung up on Asian auto makers are the only quality products in town she will not even look at an American auto. Sadly I think most will agree, this was bound to happen across the board as we add a ton of electronics to every aspect of the auto. The bugs will go up. I would be willing to bet 25% of the bugs are due to software issues. Lousy transmission shifting is probably buggy software Lousy fuel usage, buggy software freezing nav, buggy software. I am willing to bet that most come down to poor QA of the software that runs the mechanical components of the auto.
  15. Very true but it has it's own style compared to the Anime cars today.
  16. Hot Rodders, Everyone can hot rod their ride in their own style!
  17. They all have the same Mad at the world Head Lamp look. The I am pissed at the world look at me now. Wish someone would go with a I am an Individual look at me now headlamp design.
  18. Much better price even though tax payers lost their shirts and better than the original 25 mil price. Be interesting to see what happens next.
  19. I could see them more in trying out the SubCompact CUV market place than the BMW 3 series competitor where it has really heated up.
  20. Thanks Drew, That is awesome information. I agree with you that most of us were not aware of this information.
  21. I think they should bring the Turbo Diesel 2L engine here. 147HP / 350LB-FT with the 6 spd manual. Best yet is checking out this site that shows all the awesome Subaru Diesels you can get anywhere else in the world but here in the US! http://www.boxerdiesel.com/ Which Diesel would you like?
  22. Interesting is the information that Cummins puts on their web site about Nissan and their new V8 5L diesel engine. They also have a V6 that they are shopping to all auto companies. http://cumminsengines.com/cummins-5L-V8-turbo-diesel Further Info posted here in good detail from Diesel Power Mag. http://www.dieselpowermag.com/news/1310_cummins_isv5_0_v8_diesel_engine/ Cummins covers their RAM history here; http://cumminsengines.com/pickup-truck-historical-ratings Like the Nissan Frontier Diesel Runner info here. http://cumminsengines.com/nissan-frontier-diesel-runner
  23. Very cool to find some of Toyota's older 80 series landcruisers that had diesels. http://www.toyota-global.com/showroom/vehicle_heritage/landcruiser/collection/model_80_1.html WOW, Some very cool sources off Toyota global web site for their diesels. http://www.toyota-global.com/webservice/tg/dc/en/search?q=diesel+engines Interesting that Toyota does not have a particulate system for their own in house diesels. Fastest to market is to go with another vendor. You can buy plenty of low mileage Toyota Diesels here. http://www.alibaba.com/showroom/toyota-used-diesel-engines.html 33 links to V8 Diesels on Toyota Global site. http://www.toyota-global.com/webservice/tg/dc/en/search?q=diesel+V8+engines&mode=search This CHART shows Toyota's history of engine development and it shows in January 2007 they developed Toyota's First V8 Diesel. It was killed off after the global economic depression. http://www.toyota-global.com/company/history_of_toyota/75years/data/automotive_business/products_technology/technology_development/engines/index.html Toyota is dusting off this engine work, but it looks like from what I can find in reviewing their own documents on the web their fastest way to a Diesel Truck that meets US Regulations is a Cummins.
