  1. That is Tesla. With the Model S. Tesla bites off more than it could chew. It has a Model X that came out a couple of years after (3 years) the Model S. No 2nd generation announced for that one either. It has a Model 3 that is barely reaching customers now. No 2nd generation announced for this either. Too soon to annonuce a 2nd gene Model 3? Nah...Elon is thinking about Mars and human pneumatic transport systems and underground tunnel highway systems to invest money into Tesla to actually produce 2nd generation Model S. Model X and Model 3... Yet GM has announced a 2nd generation Bolt and the Bolt is barely in its 2nd year of production. With plenty of other vehicle styles that will use that same platform. Tesla will supposedly produce a Model Y. A smaller "affordable" CUV to compliment the Model 3 like the Model X compliments the Model S. Kinda like how GM is announcing a plethora of different style vehicles from the next generation Bolt. Kinda. Same but different. Will there even BE a 2nd generation Model S? What about a 2nd generation Model X? To me, these vehicles are fast becoming stale and are approaching their expiration date. There is however a 2nd generation roadster Tesla with Tesla's newest battery tech. Possibly a new motor too? Like I said. Same but different. And I tried to find a newer article on the Bolt profit thing. That was the most current I could find. I did not try that hard to find a newer article, admittedly. I figured the message of GM WANTING to go forward with the EV thing and investing money into this program to have a plethora of 100% electric and battery operated vehicles far outweighs how accurate that $7400 figure really is. I figured, GM has shown us from its past that whatever GM deems a loser, GM cuts it loose almost immediately. Sometimes too fast. Therefore, when GM announced that the 2nd generation Bolt is a thing, and many other vehicles will be produced by that same platform because that is how GM will engineer the 2nd generation Bolt, then it does not matter how much money GM is losing or is making a profit with the 1st generation Bolt. The important thing here is that GM is committed to engineer a platform that will be 100% electric and that it will have economies of scale to ensure its profitability and its success in the market place. Will enough people buy this platform? GM is betting that people WILL buy into this platform. THAT is why GM will have many types of vehicles propelled by it. To make sure that IT WILL succeed. To have a BROADER audience. Only time will tell if this will be a success or a failure. But, with the amount of Volts and Bolts being sold, which is still significant, is enough for GM to spend billions on a 2nd generation Bolt. If Im not mistaken, the Volt is the one to be canceled sometime in the near future, right? If I am right, I think its because the newest technology of the Bolt 2.0 will make it possible that Voltec may not be necessary anymore. GM saw with the 2005 Mustang that retro styled Pony cars DO sell. The GTO WAS a bust because it was NOT retro styled. Hence the Camaro comeback. So...GM...when they think they COULD make money selling a vehicle, they WILL sell it! Hence the Bolt 2.0!
  2. About $7400 for every Bolt sold!!! http://gmauthority.com/blog/2017/06/ubs-gm-probably-loses-about-7400-per-chevrolet-bolt-ev/ The thing is...GM paid Quebec and Canada 250 million to halt production of the F-Body...because they thought that engineering a new platform and not selling enough units, GM would LOSE MORE than that!!! So...the Camaro and Trans Am went away! https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2016/11/04/camaro-sales THIS is the same problem with the Bolt!!! NOT!!! You see, the F-Body went away because RWD sports car coupes were a thing of the past... SUVs were fast becoming already were what people were buying. And to this day, SUVs are hot. SUVs are killing of sedans... What does this have to do with the Bolt? Well...like the F-Body, the Bolt platform only resides to one model. There is no economies of scale. Regardless that Camaro and Firebird sales combine were about what Camaro sales with the ATS are doing today...GM was also bleeding money elsewhere. Hence the bankruptcy 6-7 years later... PLUS...there was not much GM could do with JUST a F-Body platform relegated to only sports car status... The next generation Bolt platform WILL house many many other types of vehicles. And GM predicts that these vehicles WILL sell in enough quantities to actually make a profit... https://www.reuters.com/article/us-gm-ceo/gm-challenges-tesla-with-promise-of-profitable-electric-cars-idUSKBN1DF272 GM...is NOT a company that is afraid to kill off products and brands...legendary products and brands sometimes... Corvair, Lasalle, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Fiero, Caprice/Bel Air/Impala, Camaro, Firebird, Fleetwood and so forth and so forth... Hell, the Corvette was nearly killed off 3-4 times in the past. As early as not having a C5. Even the C7 barely made it through because of the bankruptcy. GM has ALWAYS been about the bottom line... If GM thinks there is money to be made with EVs, then GM will produce EVs... If GM thinks EVs will be money losers, then GM will kill EVs... So...cry all you want about EVs, they are here to stay!
  3. I feel the same way when I get a double yolk in the egg Im about to eat. Triple yolk and I just won the jackpot!!!
  4. Oh yeah? Their electric motors? Their battery module system? Their AWD system that connects the batteries and the motors and the drivetrain in general? All the computer computing power to enable 335 mile range and ludicrous mode? (obviously those times are probably not gonna be duplicated on the particular EV conversion car one wants to convert. Maybe...Maybe bested too?) You mean one could have a Tesla Model S P100D in any body shell one wants? That is awesome!!! However, I read an article about Porsche's EV sedan and those engineers sneered and laughed at the Model S... They said that their sedan will have more than 2 or 3 neck snapping drag race runs that will best the Model S P100D ludicrous mode times. They laughed that the Model S could only achieve those runs 2 or 3 times before having to recharge. Their sedan will be able to do that multiple times. OK...I find what the Porsche engineers are saying as just plain stupid talk...the Model S has been with us since 2012. 6 years... Their effort is still in concept mode... So still awesome that one could convert a classic muscle car if one chooses without resorting to a junk yard to find a totaled Model S...(because laugh at Tesla all we want, the Model S in ludicrous mode is one helluva beast of a machine...) The Porsche sedan will probably be a beast machine too...it ought to be though! They have 6 years of newer engineering technology and the Model S to start off with to best the Model S with... The thing is, the next generation Tesla roadster will showcase Tesla's next generation tech too...and that tech will most probably make itself into a Tesla Model S... The Model S will probably suffer with the same body shell though.
  5. You are right!!!
  6. I always forget Tesla makes their proprietary engineering public. Is that a good thing for Tesla's bottom line?
  7. We have to have a proper definition of ass...because if the definition of ass is this: Then that would be a good thing... However, when it comes to the 2019 Camaro refresh...I believe swamp ass or plumber butt is what we are referring to....
  8. ^^^ She's bad to the bone. She'll fix herself right up, no doubt.
  9. Before any baseball purist has my head for me calling that dude swinging on an outside pitch a loser...( swing like a loser is how I put it actually) Yes. Yes. He was protecting the hit and run play. I know that! Its the imagery I want to showcase how I feel about some of those 2019 Chevy refreshes...since Mr. Blu opened up the door for me to give my opinion on the matter. Different games...but I imagine the situation in the first GIF is the same...
  10. More like a... little soft grounder and the 2nd baseman casually throws you...out! or swing and a miss. and in this case...swing like a loser and get your buddy out anyway...its that bad! Or get caught looking in disbelief, called 3rd strike...YER OUT!
  11. Only if these stylistic changes are visually appealing...
  12. I have a suggestion for the LS... I present you the LS swap option for the LS And it be true to its name...Lexus LS...no misinformation and misinterpretation open for a lawsuit. I mean, the first time a heard about a Lexus LS...I thought it had a LS V8 in it... So who's with me? Action lawsuit against Lexus for misrepresenting themselves?
  13. I heard that too. Elon was mildly suggesting that in an interview. But I am curious about that statement he made. Yes...he did say that E belonged to Mercedes, and its true. But...doesnt S also belong to Mercedes? E Class.. Yes. There is an E Class Mercedes. But isnt there an S Class Mercedes too? I have understood for awhile now why there are some that think Elon is such a dick. I, admittedly, took some time to also think that. I like his vision for Tesla. (Minus the autonomous driving BS...although I do see the benefits of autonomous driving). Its the other shyte that he does that irks the hell out of me. And when he does shyte like that, like that Space X stunt, I feel like he takes away from Tesla. And yes, I agree with many that see those stunts as just stunts, and taking away from Tesla. I read another article that he said running Tesla was a mistake. He gave different reasons on why that decision was a mistake. One reason he mentioned is that his thinking that running a start-up car company thinking it will succeed was ridicoulos at best and that maybe, he shouldnt have invested all that time in the first place. He made it seem like making Tesla succeed is a pipe dream???!!! I cannot call him an idiot, because he clearly is NOT an idiot. But he is a just a story teller. He gets to make the movie on the story he tells by actually producing physically the story he unravels, but a story teller non the less... Why? Well... Space X is a pipe dream...yes...he did make it happen...but did he? Continual space travel is EXPENSIVE... NASA...dropped it. NASA... UNLIMITED U.S. of A. money and NASA in the end quit. Because once the US government deemed space travel a money pit, that was it for NASA going to the moon, let all one to Mars... Space X is a MONEY pit! That underground tunnel shyte he wants to build and that tube travelling thing (pneumatic tube system for humans?)... as if that is not a pipe dream? Pun intended! These concepts make Star Wars & Star Trek seem realistic. And the more he puts his energy and money into crap like that, HE REALLY REALLY DOES TESLA an INJUSTICE. All the time and money he has wasted in those pet projects, (and Tesla IS just another pet project) Tesla would have REALLY been a full fledged American car maker TODAY as we speak instead of fearfully and rightfully so of being just a footnote in the automotive history books. He should just sell off Tesla to some automotive giant that could use Tesla's proprietary engineering, cachet, battery factory to be, vast charging stations, vast consumer to be presence so all that hard work the TRUE engineers, workers, marketing peeps, future ideas and concepts dont go to waste. ANY of the big manufacturers COULD use all that intellect. They could use Tesla the badge to sell their EVs or just gut the company...but at least Tesla ideas, especially future ideas will not be lost. He is an idiot to NOT KNOW WHAT THE PHOQUE HE HAS IN TESLA!!! TESLA as a brand, in my opinion, IS BIGGER THAN PAYPAL!!! Tesla...after a relative short life so far, has a brand cachet as big as a 911 Porsche. Corvette, Mustang, Cadillac, Mercedes, BMW...Kleenex, Frigidaire, Band Aid, Coca Cola... Tesla is synonymous with fast, electric cars... Yes...Tesla is THAT big in my eyes. Rant over!
  14. 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD tech package. $54 000 and change CDN. KBB canada site $14 800 CDN. (On the higher side of a trade-in value. We will do 55 000 - 15 000 = 40 000 CDN I got 85 000 and change kilometers which translates to 53 000 miles rounded number. 75 cents CDN per mile. Which 75 cents equals to about what? 1 dollar give or take a couple of cents American? Makes sense. 5-6 year old cars is where most of the depreciation hits when buying new. And I really dont have too many miles on the odometer. You would think that Id get a higher trade-in value for my car for having low mileage. But nope. I wonder if Id have more miles driven, regardless how much lower my trade-in value would be, if my cost per mile would improve? Again, 5-6-7 year old cars is where the most depreciation happens on new cars so... THIS is a reason why Im keeping the Acura a looooong time. Im gonna amortize her properly. If nothing catastrophic happens of coarse. Accident or a very serious repair cost. Before getting married, Id change my cars every 5-6 years. Bought them new and change them. With a wife and kids to feed, that formula changes quickly... My Impala SS. 2005. I changed her at 7 years. ONLY because some dumb driver backed into my front passenger door and dented the hell out of it. The door open and closed OK...the repair job was only gonna be 600-800 CDN dollars. But the thought of my car being dinged badly got me uptight. I wanted to keep her longer than 7 years but... Also, I was getting at the point where many regular maintenance issues were about to show up like change the battery and other costly regular maintenance stuff plus the door window mount had failed. 300 dollar repair job the year prior. That same year I hit a pothole damaging a ball joint and control arm.... that I said..phoque it. Ill just use the money that Im gonna spend maintaining her on a new car. No more money on the Impala. So far I have not put money into the Acura needlessly. Im lucky for that.
  15. My outdoor cabanon door has sagged a little after this years long and icy winter. That would be shed for you anglophones. I also dropped a drinking glass on my ceramic flooring in my kitchen yesterday morning. The glass shatttered in a million pieces. There is not much you can do about this as I vacuumed the mess up. Maybe you wanted to know about it though!
  16. Yes. Charger! And now that you mentioned Silverado. I see it too!!! I just feel like I do NOT want to post a pic of the Silverado. I just ate delicious chicken wings and I want them to stay in my belly!
  17. I prefer the revised face. Not that it makes a difference on how I feel about the 5th and 6th generation Camaro. But I do prefer this face than all the other faces the Camaro has donned since the 5th generation that spilled unto the 6th gen. The black bumper one...Im on the fence. It reminds me of another car. I cant put my finger on what car it reminds me of. The body coloured bumper one is OK in my books. Now if they could change the entire body line of the damned thing... Those pseudo 1969 body lines that really dont look like 1969 Camaro have been with us for ever. its time to let go. I will admit, the 6th gen IS sleeker and nicer than the bulkier 5th gen. The 6th gen being a tad smaller is a plus too. But this style is old, stale and dated. If Im not buying the V8 version of this car. Any V8. Then Im buying the 2.0T. So a 2.0T 1LE is welcomed in my world. Same with the Mustang. If I aint buying the V8 versions. Than the ecoboost is where Im at. But the big bad Challenger is where Im at. Even if its older and staler than the Camaro. Truth be told though, Im ready for a new Challenger and a new Camaro. The Mustang is AWESOME!!!
  18. MMMmmmm.... Bunker is definitely a problem... But with me...the styling has GOT to be the #1 reason I HATE the Camaro. That and the Bumble Bee thing. The Bandit was a cool movie car. KITT was a cool movie car. The General Lee was a cool movie car. Starsky and Hutch's red tomato was a cool movie car. Bullitt Mustang was one hot ride! The many riced up ricer cars from the F&F franchise such that orange Supra, red RX7 with the similar iron man graphics, the pink S2000 were cool movie cars. The many rides of James Bond, including the stale BMW 7 Series of the mid to late 1990s were cool movie cars.... *SIGH* Bumble Bee was a VW Bug originally. Strike #1. No...Im not a purist. I dont care for Transformers. But right there, strike #2. Freakin Transformer's man! James Bond, Starsky and Hutch, Burt phoquing Reynolds as the phoquing Bandit, man! Steve phoquing McQueen as Frank Bullitt. Need I say more? Steve motherphoquingQueen! Lets go back to the VW Bug... A hippie peace loving symbol. Herbie for phoque's sake. Which in itself was a cool movie car! And with the 5th generation, this is the legacy that Chevy wants to replace...At least when they redid Knight Rider, Ford jumped right in at the chance and made one hot Mustang! OK...the Firebird was uniquely awsome and taylor made for the 80s...so the KITT Mustang redo felt a tad corny, the Mustang itself oozes sex. The 5th generation Camaro oozes...retardation. For our PC world, the Camaro oozes chemical imbalances. The so called shyte box ride that Megan Fox found yucky is tons cooler. Including the time worn dents and rust. Next time Ill be discussing 5th and 6th generation Camaros, I wont hold back to how I truly feel about it!
  19. Well...maybe not a hot hatch based on an econo-box car... BUT...a hot hatch CUV should DEFINITELY be in the cards... The XT4-V should be a given. It should roll out next year. (A year after the regular XT4 rolls out) Propulsion: Anything that makes the XT4 go like stink. With the super duper magnetic suspension set-ups and active sway bars and xtra large pizza sized brembo brakes that go along with that.... XT5-V should also be a given. If Ford will do a Ford Edge Sport, then you could bet the farm that Lincoln will follow suit. And the Germans are already there. So...the ΧΤ5-V should be in the showrooms...like YESRTERDAY. Too soon? OK...by September 2018 then! The electrics are coming... It seems to me all those GM electric cars GM promised would mostly be Cadillac badged.
  20. Well, to be honest. I have never heard him say that he does NOT love you. So...yeah!
  21. Im surprised you are even allowed to mention about Greek love... Where you come from its a sin... Where you come from its frowned upon, its denounced and its verboten... I wouldnt be surprised though, that where you come from, those people that vehemently denounce it, are sooooo flamboyantly immersed in Greek love, they cant even drive straight...
  22. And Quebec!!! http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-adopts-california-car-emissions-standards-1.837227
