Ferrari News: Marchionne Stokes Ferrari's Interest In An SUV
oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Ferrari
Just as bad!!! And now to express how I truly feel! And in the language that they (Ferrari) could understand... with English subtitles so the rest of you could know what it is the hell Im raving aboot... -
Well...you've got to admit... Elon has indeed sold us sanctuary with these EV thingys...and everybody is on board...well almost everybody...Sergio and Ocnblu are still hold outs... But as far as nobody wanting EVs...well, they are no longer a new sensation, and they are still here!!! But I do believe...against all odds...that EVs will eventually prevail over the ICE...

oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
Now that this thread had run its course... I...have let it go...but... You Surreal...you dont get to tell me what to do either... And yes...trolling...hence the # remark... Both of you did not succeed in tearing me apart. A song that was popular on FM radio in 1988... You could hashtag this up your ass! Good night!- 176 replies

Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
The irony in the irony of this and that post... 2 guys still moping around talking about irony in the irony of moving on... I on the other hand have resorted to posting animal gifs...including two barking dogs barking at each other...with a fence between them...yet both dogs could get access top each other...LET ME HAVE HIM!!! Because SYMBOLISM... Yet...now we seem to be barking at irony in ironies... Because CCAP and Surreal want the final word... I truly have moved on...and so have others! Question is...have you both moved on? Or are ya gonna mention me one more time???!!! Because moving on means moving on...INCLUDING NOT MENTIONING ME IN THIS FM DISCUSIION THAT WAS 2 PAGES AGO! READ...AND YOU BOTH IDIOTS WILL SEE THAT "TIS ONLY YOU THAT HAS GONE BACK TO IT!!! LAST TIME I CHECKED...ANIMAL GIFS IS NOT A VIABLE FM RADIO ARGUMENT!!! YEAH...THE IRONY OF BOTH OF YOU TRYING TO TROLL ME WITH ME NOT MOVING ON!!! STOP TROLLING ME!!!! IS THAT CLEAR FOR YOU!!!! OR DO I HAVE TO RESORT TO ANOTHER BATCH OF ANIMAL GIFS FOR YOU IDIOTS TO GET THE MESSAGE???!!!- 176 replies

Oddly enough...this endless bickering for FM radio that YOU dont seem to want to move on from...NOW... reminds me of this, behind our computer screens. hey...Surreal...what did the 5 fingers say to the face? THAT has got to be the most ironic thing Ive heard this year! ahem...ahem..cough...Toyopet...cough...cough... Sorry...I had something stuck in my throat. I think its more to do with other countries (Japanese, Germans, French..)actually being/having more nationalistic pride in their automotive industry than Americans do with theirs... And what I just said NOW has got to be the most ironic statements Ive heard all year! ahem...ahem..cough..."Merica! Phoque YEAH!!!...Lets Make America Great Again!"..cough...cough... Sorry...I had something stuck in my throat again!!! Its such a strange feeling...all of this!

Is it normal for me to think that a Wrangler really does not need a V6 engine? And that it should go back to its 4 cylinder roots, even though the Wrangler has grown to be at least 50% larger than the original WW2 military vehicle?

Frisky said...mainstream... The Quad 4 and the Ecotec producing 1000 some odd horsepower was certainly not mainstream. Honda's 4 cylinders are also capable of high horsepower...but none of those were ever offered at the mainstream level. Sorry for the interruption..continue on.

Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
SMK... You are 100% right!!! @frogger I did not know that. Although I do know that when Radio Shack went bye-bye and Circuit City bought them out, I thought the name change was due to Quebec French Language laws...you know...the name Circuit City aint exactly French Language friendly...I thought Circuit City was everywhere else in Canada and La Source was in Quebec! Thanx for the info!- 176 replies

Industry News: The Big Electric Car Blitz
oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
My next car purchase will very well be an electric car. I currently own a 2012 bought new in 2012. Ill keep it at least for 10 years this one. We are now looking at 2022...I think many interesting options will be available to me by then. Same thing for my wife's car. She owns a 2013. Bought new in 2013. We both dont put a lot of mileage on our cars so we will hold out a tad longer than 10 years if necessary to really see what the EV market will have in store for us in 2022, 2023, 2024 and beyond. There is no itch for us to change our rides so soon in 2017 or 2018 or 2019...so we could wait and drive the current cars we own to the ground so we could make an EV purchase in the near future. A proper EV purchase with a maximized budget for one. And if by chance in 2022, 2023, 2024 EVs or EV infrastructure or whatever still does not meet our needs (an unlikely event anyhow...in Quebec at least), we could still buy a regular car. But...in Quebec, EV infrastructure is growing by leaps and bounds, the people are asking for it, and GM at a minimum, already has interesting models in the pipe line to come out in the next couple of years if not for Tesla or Honda or VW...so...- 31 replies

Im envious that Toyota (in comparison to Cadillac) has the testes to offer such a conservative car ...only 2 generations in 50 years and upgrading for its 51st year, a 3rd generation. And it remains just as conservative yet (pun alert) 21st Century all the same without missing a beat with what the nameplate really represents and offers its customers EΧΑCTLY what the nameplate ALWAYS was!!!

I KNEW IT!!! I knew you would love this! Although my allegiance would go to a Cadillac, had Cadillac still offered a car like this, I respect the Toyota Century nameplate and I respect this new car.

Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
Sure...but will the Tesla Model 3 have the necessary ports to allow this? @dfelt mentioned that even the USB ports on the Model 3 maybe suspect that the speakers might not be allowed access to music files on USB keys...so that right there might give issues to people for not having FM radio...so Ill be willing to retract my previous statements... I know in some parts of the US and Canada they have closed down...in Quebec they are still around...but with a French name...La Source. But in Quebec too, in the last year or two...financial troubles have hit and closures have happened- 176 replies

I dont think FM will ever get the boot. Radio waves...anybody can access those...Radio Shack helps you build your own radio...the internet will go down...radio waves...can ALWAYS be transmitted and received... But the bolded part of your quote is all that I wanted to hear!!!- 176 replies

Actually...I said that too...that it was stupid and hella weird for them not too offer this right away BECAUSE Teslas are a highly downloadable and internet friendly cars... so... And I could have used the wrestling gif that I always use....but Conan and the math equations in the background seem more appropriate in this case love you right back sweetie!- 176 replies

oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
Thank you for actually giving me an argument... But...Tesla offers free internet so...no need for bluetooth to use whether bluetooth is offered or not... Back to square one... But... @dfelt answered this further... So much for people wanting to move away from the FM talk, huh? That would be 3 more people joining in on the fun... Well...2 with actual responses and 1 to bitch about it...- 176 replies

Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
No...it was NOT answered... The MAIN point that I want to say is that the Model 3 NOT having FM radio is NOT a big deal BECAUSE FM RADIO is NOT a go-to medium for music anymore...PEOPLE ARE TECH SAVVY IN 2017 THAT OWN AND USE OTHER INTERNET RELATED MUSIC MEDIUMS THAT FM RADIO TENDS TO BE SECONDARY!!! SURE ITS STILL USED!!! BUT...NONE OF YOU WANT TO ADMIT THAT AND ALL OF YOU ARE STUCK WITH THE SEMANTICS ONE BLOODY QUESTION!!!! YOU THINK THAT IS FRUSTRATING??? TRY DISCUSSING SHYTE WITH SOME OF YOU WITHOUT THE BIASED BLINDERS ON AND WITHOUT THE STUPID SEMANTIC IDIOCIES!!!- 176 replies

I dont see you admitting that FM radio is not that relevant...so..no. Maybe you dont believe what I said...but THAT dont mean it aint true what it is that Im saying...so... https://hbr.org/2016/12/how-streaming-is-changing-music-again There is all kinds of info there....and if one realizes what that means... http://www.ifpi.org/news/IFPI-GLOBAL-MUSIC-REPORT-2017- 176 replies

Industry News: The Big Electric Car Blitz
oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
Some people say that the US has caused a lot of problems for them in their homelands...(and not necessarily exclusively the OPEC countries...other countries...NATO countries...) because of this oil...control... I dont mean anything by this statement....just letting you know that there is always two sides to a coin... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ https://lecircuitelectrique.com/welcome Quebec has a project where Hydro-Quebec has partnered with Quebec businesses to establish charging station circuits at their place of business....the consumer shops...his car charges... at hardware stores Reno-Depot and Rona Grocery shopping at Metro grocery stores or eating at St-Hubert restaurants all across the province. Or simply on a street or highway rest stop or at a shopping mall parking lot or government building of some sort. We started off big...like in California...but the Parti-Quebecois was elected and stopped the Liberal Party of Quebec's progress on that ...but 3 years ago ago the Liberal Parti of Quebec got re-elected and so the project got another boost. We are fast catching up to the West Coast again and the people of Quebec are embracing all this...- 31 replies

I would agree. I saw a new Honda Fit this afternoon on the road...and I immediately saw the Chevy Bolt in it... Eerily alike... I also saw the same similarities with the Nissan Leaf... And the 2017 Versa Note... So yeah...all these little cars share the same attributes... The Bolt looks just like its sub-compact (CUV if you wanna go there) brethren...

oldshurst442 replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
1. Yes! I would even say "Damn phoquing right they should have!" 2. And I could agree with this! I would even say "Damn phoquing right they have a loooong way to go!" Well...maybe it was answered...maybe it was not... If you and @ocnblu could admit that FM radio is not as a relevant music medium that it once was...even falling LOWER on the relevant scale than it did when MTV was introduced in the 1980s (obviously MTV is nothing now and FM radio bounced back by the 1990s when MTV decided to give us Bling That Car with that rapper or whatever it was called and Jersey Shore)...then and only then will my question will have been answered....- 176 replies
