  1. I love to Travel, Photography, Working out in the gym, Home Theater reviewing movies and auto's. I do love bowling and I have a wine collection that I enjoy with Chocolate. I also love to travel. I used to like taking photographs. I dont anymore. I used to work-out, to play sports, to be stronger and faster with my athletic ability. I enjoy my home theatre watching movies. I also enjoy going to the movies...although my home system set-up and TV is top notch for home theatres, nothing beats going to the movies to watch a block buster. I enjoy wines. I cant drink anyore though. I LOVE CHOCOLATES. I do two drugs. 1. Chocolate 2. Speed and danger. I LOVE getting my adrenaline pumping. I get adrenaline pumping by driving fast, skiing, skating, playing team sports, even working. Riding on roller coasters etc... But...I also enjoy watching sports. Why? I used to play hockey and baseball. And other sports, but I used to play baseball and hockey at competitive levels and so watching sports takes me back and makes me remember all the feats I was able to do. I have two kids and I also make them play sports, because its good for the body and soul. And I enjoy more to watch them play and excel than these professional guys, obviously...but watching pro sports on TV is MORE than just entertainment, its an understanding that I have in realizing how hard it really is to accomplish athletic abilities...I marvel at what the human body and mind and soul can do to overcome adversity to win... Yesterday's Blue Jays game versus the Rangers is a perfect example. I saw a very short version of the game, but I felt all the emotions involved and knew exactly how Bautista felt when he pelted that ball out of the park as I have won games myself for my team in that type of dramatic situations. I have also lost games in which heroics of my opponent sank us by that same dramatic fashion... You know what I miss the most in playing sports? The emotional roller coaster ride an athlete goes through winning and losing. I miss losing games as much as I miss winning them. Because the emotions of losing made me stronger and made me want it more the next time around which made me a better player and athlete. I pushed myself to be better so I could win. AND THAT is why I still LOVE watching games...THAT emotion comes alive in me watching my favorite teams play. Adrenaline... Which in turn, makes me teach my kids HOW to win...and HOW to lose...and HOW TO COMPETE...yes...my kids are taught NOT to be sore winners nor sore losers, and I teach them to channel those frustrations or glees to better themselves and I try to correlate that for real life situations...Im still working on that as they are still young...
  2. I guess I have to settle for the quick 1 hour recap....its OK... What got my attention REEEEEAAAAAAL fast was a name that I havent heard since like the early 1990s... I mentioned Moises before...as in Moises Alou...but the Rangers scored their first run by a player named Delino Deshields... He got traded and I lost track of him... He looks soooo young in that pic...as a Ranger...he looks, well....GOOOOOD!!!
  3. You ain't kidding. That was a gong show. Now Im peeved. It turns out that every Sports Net feed has the Astros versus the Royals...the satellite guide says that SN west would rebroacast... *SIGH* No Jays Baseball, maybe when this game finishes... *SIGH* I happen to love effed up ball games.
  4. Ive already made me some hotdogs and popcorn. I dont have beer, its OK...chocolate milk will do.
  5. DAMN! I was at work. I just came home! The Blue Jays won, that much I know!!! So...Sports Net replays the game at 9:00 Eastern...I guess Im watching the game then...
  6. Me too. Me too. I even have it on VHS to this day . I had recorded it and watched it the next day. But by then it was no longer a surprise 'cause I knew what had happened. It must have been nuts watching it live as it hapened right then and there. "Surreal" may be the perfect word to describe that game.
  7. The views on most VW owners you know surprised you? Everybody sees corporate greed but yourself...THAT is what surprises me!!! Laissez faire type business models dont work in 2015 corporate Earth...hell...laissez faire type business models barely worked at the start of the industrial revolution where businesses offered slave labour to people, and then very very low wages...yeah...like China standards today, and let us not forget child labour...and yeah...like China today... If you have forgotten, THAT is why unions were formed in the first place...to ensure an honest pay for an honest day's work and to ensure a safe working environment for the worker....and together with the government...made laws for the employers to follow for their employees....hardly laissez faire that is!!!
  8. Hey...that is the good news for the 3 and 4 Series as they will no longer be the asshole birthday present for the entitled kid...Finally, the 3 and 4 Series has moved up a notch. Sadly though. Im afraid they will remain THE choice vehicles for the asshole adults... Seriously though, this and the former 1M are the Bimmers that I respect the most as those to me....represent the best qualities that the legendary 2002 and E30 M3 have passed on to modern Bimmers post 2000s.
  9. Well...if that is the case, I wouldnt mind THAT reality at all...even if it means that the Blue Jays...well...CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!!! But we may be getting ahead of ourselves here... Maybe there will be another Moises doing the Bartman in the next series...you know...curse... But since we are entertaining this thought about Back to the Future II...I want Pontiac back and more important than that....I want my flying Jeep!!! Offroadin', no roadin', flying Jeep!!! With round headlights though...
  10. That Maserati looks damned good. I dont really like modern Maseratis...who am I kidding? I dont like Maseratis at all, but that angle, that colour and that stance makes it a beauty. But I gots to agree wit de others Suave, Post #40 was not one of my faves either....just to be politically correct ....sorry.
  11. Well, If I was a Hollywood producer Id look into re-re-making a classic iconic movie car with this orange Lexus. Id make a modern re-boot of The Dukes of Hazard. Id call it the The Shoguns of Kyoto or something like that... Id have the Japanese Rising Sun on the roof of the car Instead of the Confederate Flag. The Confederate Flag is toast in 2015 anyway...time to be inconsiderate and crass about something new... Id name the car Emperor Hirohito. The crazy stunts would include jumping ramps and drifitng in hot Tokyo Drift nights scenery where R32 Skyline police cars chase them Japanese Duke boys all over Japan and Okinawa... There would be plenty of Japanese sexy girls in short short skirts etc...
  12. Everyone here was heartbroken after game 2... Let's keep the stream-roll offence rolling. Excellence of execution, no less, has to produce an absolute crushing, annihilation, eradication and extermination of Texas. No, it's not that I hate Texas as much as how much I want every opponent of Toronto to utterly lose. Im not a Blue Jays fan...never was. Hated them actually. As much as the Yankees. You know... However, this year, Im riding the Blue Jays bandwagon. You know... So I was saddened big time for the first two games ...so I stopped watching so I do jinx any further...and that is all Im saying so I dont jinx any further... With that being said, I will stop watching the Bruins and the Cowboys play for a little while also...so I dont jinx any further....so far...it aint working 'cause the Bruins took another beating today...
  13. That is a sweet Corvette. I love me the C1. Especially a 1959/1960. I dont really mind the excess vents and chrome on a 1959 versus the 1960. And I see what you mean. Lets be honest, GM had no equal in Harley Earl during those times and then Bill Mitchel. Virgil Exner from Chryco.was a good rival too. I like French cars from the 1930s all the way to the 1960s too...maybe I do those soon...
  14. Just a little defiance because Italian cars are sensual and very easy on the eyes...especially the "vintage" ones from the same years that we ogle cars from Mopar and the General.
  15. yeah....REEEEEEAAAAAAL funny! I am holding out for Blu Ray though... Because the way they are going, we aint gonna see a Super Bowl anytime soon...*SIGH* The railroad pic is cool though, but it reminds me too much of yet another Cowboys season....off the rails....
  16. Nothing like dumping out the trash every so often. Make a speedy recovery and move forward, leaving the little turd in the past! Ive done this two times already. The last time this past year. My dad died from colon cancer 9 years ago this November and my mom was diagnosed with it (on time and cured) 2 months after my dad died... So yeah...that is definitely on my mind... You gotta do what you gotta do to stay alive. So...keep staying alive. No...no disco song will be posted. But Im tempted to...
  17. I must have slipped and missed that post. Thanx and a green arrow for you. Plus another sexy Oldsmobile. She is called the Toronado Stiletto. She is a 1967 model.
  18. Ill bring it back!
  19. Yeah, I can't believe it either. Oh you weren't talking about the U.S. Congress. Sometimes those two entities go hand in hand. The difference though between the US Congress and big greedy multi-national corporations are is that US citizens VOTE the greedy bastiges in every 2 years, and although I know this is a joke, and a funny one at that, it boggles my mind how we as a free people who get to vote in our elected officials still complain how crappy they are... HEY! ITS OUR VOICE that we are bitchin' about...WHY DONT WE DO SOMRTHING ABOUT IT instead of crying and moaning how awful they are!!! But...we cant be bothered with little details like that...to get involved with our community politics...to vote in the right people and to hold accountable the bad apples... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Congress_and_citizens Wiki quote from link above: United States Congress and citizens describes the relation between the public and lawmakers. Essentially, American citizens elect members of Congress every two years who have the duty to represent their interests in the national legislature of the United States. Who has the time to actually do research and to vote in the right people for the job? Who has the time to actually run for office and change the way things are and to do the right thing? Its only a democracy after all!!!
  20. I aint a minivan guy (nor am I a SUV/CUV guy) but I think it looks smashing.
  21. I will like to see a Chevy Trax kinda vehicle with this technology next from Chevrolet/GM Then gradually step up to a larger CUV/SUV to Equinox levels...because, as it seems, CUVs/SUVs are the next bread and butter vehicles. The Tesla Model X...Elon, thinks that this is the next step for electrics, heck, even BMW thinks that also with the i3, so I think Chevy's/GM's gamble on a CUV/SUV might not be that far fetched.
  22. quite interesting. Im curious to know how the system works to get the oil back on top of the engine in the cartridge? Because, if Im not mistaken, gravity is what makes the oil flow outta the car the 'ol fashioned way of oil changes, right? I guess dry sump oil lubrication technology is involved. Its cool non the less. Are car companies gonna agree with a standard cartridge? Are all Chevys gonna use the same type of cartridge? OK...maybe the needs of a Corvette may be different from a Volt, which maybe different from a Malibu, but does that mean, like the printers we have today, an abundance of different types of cartridges between the same brand models within the same brand and many more types when other brands are concerned with their many models? And what happens to the billion dollar industry that is the bread and butter money of dealerships and small garages? Because THIS obviously facilitates do it yourself-er work. I guess the good 'ol days maybe coming back for certain things, but in 2015 when dealerships rely on servicing cars to stay afloat, I see many other areas that will increase in price. Anyway. This is a pretty neat and nifty invention.
  23. You know BLU... I have ALWAYS loved the colonnade body style. But NOT the 1973 Grand Prix. The 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass or better yet, in 442 and in Hurst trims, especially in Hurst trims Then comes the 1973 Monte Carlo I love those flared front fenders and rear quarter panels 1973 Pontiac Grand Am 455 This is just plain sick!
