  1. '18 sedans started at $35,500, fwiw.
  2. Wasn't that the coupe that was also a couple grand above the sedan? It's actually good to see them embracing the tweener thing again. I think that will help them out some.
  3. Well, when they sell 18 of them in two years, hopefully it will get the axe after that. Hopefully the lot gets trimmed sooner by getting rid of the bucket of pukes in the GLC Coupe, GLE Coupe, X4, and X6. FCK THOSE VEHICLES. I think it could be competitive but I think there is zero chance it could outsell the F150 unless the next F150 is a COMPLETE dud AND it falls to #3 behind the Ram and Silverado making the Toyota #3 and F150 #4. Also, to the best of my knowledge, those sales are F series, not just F150. That would mean Toyota would need their Tundra to have HD versions and try and take that whole market as well.
  4. That's what I said, "you'd think if people knew about it, it would have sold well enough to be kept around." Absolutely. People who had TDi's, loved them. I had two friends with them and they also loved them. They could eek out 50mpg.
  5. I still think the efficiency alone(excluding the fact it costs $3800 more than a comparably equipped 1.5T gasser) makes a very viable choice for those who commute 70-100 miles a day but they don't want to be stuck in a car. As we all know CUVs are all the craze so you'd think if people knew about it, it would have sold well enough to be kept around.
  6. In their defense, they probably just refer to it as a CVT. That was on a comparison page.
  7. Chrysler being dead is so frustrating because they had the perfect brand to fight the "2nd tier" luxury brands head-on. All they really needed to do was make a luxurious interior and add some fancy adjustable dampers and it would ride like it's on clouds.
  8. Trackhawk is definitely a street performance vehicle(have you seen the wheels and tires on the JGC Trackhawk???). It would be identical to a Dodge SRT. I would leave that performance trim for Dodge and Chrysler, imo.
  9. ..if they were smart they'd have a Dodge version as more of a street and cheaper version, Jeep as a 1 inch lift and market it as an off-road version, and Chrysler as a luxury version(luxury level of Lincoln/Acura/Lexus/Infinity).
  10. Good to know, thanks. I don't keep up on my Subarus too well so I didn't know if it was a typo considering the 2.5 is the base engine.
  11. Absolutely. Performance-wise it is more comparable to their 1.5T, cost close to the 2.0T, fuel economy(considering fuel prices) closer to the 1.5T. It's stuck in the middle, imo. I just don't like the article comparing it price-wise to the 2.0T because it is clearly designed (and marketed..?) towards fuel economy yet they're using the 2.0T as the reason for it going away.
  12. An Outback with the 2.4T would be pretty sweet. After looking at their website, are they axing the 3.6 in favor of this 2.4T? The CTT thing is a little ocnfusing to me.. Their website says, "Lineartronic 6-Speed Continuously Variable Electronically Controlled Manually Interactive Automatic Transmission With Overdrive (Standard)"
  13. Good lord, I hope the the crossover coupes get the axe. I have such an irrational hatred for those things.
  14. I bet this cost $1,000, too! ?
  15. I do think that is a good idea but I don't think it would mop the floor with the other very VERY established HDs.
  16. Oh, i understand that. I'm just..uhh..uhhhh.. picking on somebody...
  17. I am eagerly awaiting @smk4565's response to this. "They have cash out the @ss" "money is never an issue" "They'll just throw money at it until it works"
  18. I'm not doubting the respectable sales numbers. I don't think that is exactly the style of vehicle to light the sales charts on fire.
  19. I don't think the Subaru Crosstreck sells 2 million units a year.
  20. Yeah, prices can only go down when sales slow down and they HAVE to decrease prices.
  21. And that seems to make sense. We want things that are slightly less car-like for the ease of getting in and out of and having a hatch for added utility and moving slightly away from the standard sedan body style is pretty much all that is.
  22. I was thinking the same exact thing with the Venza.
  23. Don't forget they are selling the EcoSport. That stuff isn't standard on a GLS.
