Ram News: Spying: Ram 1500 Sporting A Split Tailgate?
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
Yeah, those issues don't seem like real issues. They're more made up issues they decided to solve a problem for. Fixing something that wasn't broken. Making up a problem to find a solution for.- 37 replies

Ram News: Spying: Ram 1500 Sporting A Split Tailgate?
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Ram
Neat, but I don't understand why? What is the benefit of this over a regular tailgate? Is it worth the additional complexity?- 37 replies

Well, the X4 and X6 look like dogsh!t so why not add another? I hate them but how are they dead? They're all pretty new... And the majority of people aren't 6' 6" Just the idea of that earned you my first downvote in probably 2 months. GTFO!!!

Yeah it's great if it lasts as long as you need for your yard. A second battery really wouldn't be necessary. Plus, you could always get one of the smaller batteries as a backup. They advertise that they're all interchangeable.

That's nice and all but it doesn't help average Joe much when a push mower cost a grand with one spare battery.

That's an extra $130... I'd want a second battery anyway but that's a lot of money.

$600 seems reasonable as long as you have a small yard and you'll never get stuck having to charge mid-cut. A decent push mower is in that price range anyway.

Ahhhh exactly what I want to read.. Super expensive powertrain and technology but it'll be in a tin shell with no insulation and plastic seats.

Oh it would absolutely be pricey but I just think it would be cool to see what they could do with a truck from the ground up. Mercedes makes great vehicles. They might be on the bland side but they are great performers and they have the tools and knowledge for both off-roading and real truck work with their line of work vehicles and the gnarly Unimog. I'd rather see them make a truck than the Coupe SUVs,

It's not bad looking but I bet the premium for this over a Taco or Canyon is probably way too much. I actually would have liked them to being over a half ton here to compete with the likes of GM and Ford..oh and Ram. I'm mostly just curious what they could do to a half ton. They have engines and 4WD systems already.. I bet if they converted the G Wagen into a truck it'd sell like hot cakes. But that's more mid-size truck than a half ton.

Chevrolet News:2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Arrives With 755 Horsepower
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
To each their own. At least their downforce goal was achieved without ridiculous tacked on pieces.. I've already said I don't care how functional the ZR1's pieces are, they don't flow well. Nothing really flows well on the C7. Personally, I don't think the C7 will age as well as an other Corvette just because the design. It isn't as clean as any other Vette and this is a perfect example of that. It is obviously the best Vette to date but I think the C5 & C6 will age better- 45 replies

Ram 1500's that are 4X4 with the 3.6. 3.21 gears are only rated to tow 4650 with the quad cab. F150 with the base 3.3,, 4x4, 3.55 gears, and largest cab is only rated at 5000lbs. The lowest number I could configure the Silverado down to was 6000lbs All of which are probably difficult to find on a lot because I'd assume a work level truck has the trailer tow package that won't have the granny tall gears that drastically drops all of these down to the levels I looked up. Nope. I'm pretty sure 7600 or 7700lbs. The non-diesel I think is 7000lbs.
-
The Colorado is the only mid-sizer that tops it as well. I think that Taco is 6000-something.
-
Holy sh!t! That's double what my Escape could tow, 3500lbs. I love seeing luxury rides still being used for what they were originally designed for(the chassis, that is).

FWIW, the Swedish Krona is currently 0.1193 to 1 USD. So be careful for that as well.

I've never seen a blue Escalade. That looks pretty sharp. I usually only see black or white but that blue looks really good. And that's a tiny boat on the Escalade... lol At least it is not ocean worthy.
-
It also has way less power than a Gator or Slade... You have to spend 95k to get an engine to complete with the Gator or Slade in a GLS. Oh I've absolutely seen trailers behind Escalades, much less Navigators(probably because they sell so much less). Ever go to a race track? I always see at least one or two Escalades as tow vehicles. I bet if I were to frequent lakes there would be able the same amount there as well.
-
Yes. Well, I'm actually not 100% sure if that's the drivers' fault because they do offer a car wash/cleaning service so I'm not sure if its the owner that parks like a jackass or the crew taking care of the cars..
-
Oh I know what you mean, my dad is huge into wood working and with this building i'm learning some myself. It seems like an awesome hobby but unless you get some hand-me-down tools it would be very pricey to start out.
