  1. I think it is just that it doesn't have any weak points as an automobile. Strong chassis for the enthusiasts. Fuel economical for those looking for that, good power(and usually underrated power) for the GTI and R. It stil offers a manual transmission and they have a very good dual-clutch auto. There just isn't really anything bad about it.
  2. This was already commented on by THE admin.
  3. I know I know I was just givin you guys a hard time! Thank you for the correction! Not sure where I had heard that then.. *shrugs shoulders*
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong(and I very well could be..wouldn't be the first time nor the last) but wasn't one of Obama's victories also won that same way? The second, I think. Also look at the map of who won which COUNTIES. The breakdown is staggering. Hillary would have represented the people but not the country. Does that make sense? I mean.. she would have represented cities and city folk, but not the country as a whole..
  5. Just a simple, clean, good looking car. I'd buy a performance packaged GTI. 242hp? Yes, Please! What does the Performance Package cost? Anybody here know?
  6. @Stew, @dfelt , Do know who else probably slept through sexual harassment videos...? Donald Trump. HA! I just grouped you two in a category with that guy.
  7. Now THAT'S what I want to hear! Running away, not my style. Literally getting out and trying to change things, that's commendable! Fight for what you believe in.
  8. The commercials can definitely be a pain in the ass. I know when they come on I flip to another game or usually another sport on Sundays. Kickoff, commercial, play until a punt or score, commercial, kickoff, commercial. It's stupid. They do need to reevaluate that situation. Seahawks/Pats matchup should be a good one as the 'Hawks have been progressing as Russell Wilson's ankle is slowly healing and he's becoming more mobile again. Absolutely! But for somebody who is bringing in less than 10k a year they can't afford a $250+/month health insurance payment if they're trying to pay for a place to live, food, and car insurance, gas(assuming the car is paid for). I'll ask her for an accurate number of what she was told she had to pay..
  9. The available insurance right now is absolute BULL$h! if you've ever met anybody who's had to use it. The girlfriend is a hair stylist and she is booth rental. Meaning, she is her own boss and doesn't work for anybody. She has to insure herself and with her claimed taxable income below 10k her first year she had to pay something like 250 a month. She didn't pay it. She went without because the fine was less than the payments. The rates are absolutely ridiculous for people who are low income.
  10. What news do you speak of? I'm a huge NFL fan.. Dallas Cowboys fan to be specific.
  11. I hope that after all of this disagreement we can all at least be happy that Johnson did as well as he did, not because you voted for him or believe in what he does but that there should be a THIRD funded party next go-around. This two party system is junk and it seems like everybody agrees on some level. The more MAINSTREAM candidates we can get the more of 'the people' will get accurately represented.
  12. Is there more to this read? It was a very good read and if there is more I'd like to continue reading it, thanks!
  13. What engine/trans combo would we be looking at here? I assume the 1.5T would be somewhere but there are usually 2 engine choices... the 1.0T..? I know this is small but is the 1.0T enough for the much less aero-slippery EcoSport?
  14. Jeez.. about time the US get this. It isn't for me but people love their CUVs and not having a itsy-bitsy one has to be hurting Ford a little. Honestly, the only thing that looks appealing on that is the Raptor-esque grill. The wheels are ugly and almost look too small for a reasonable brake package. The graphic is awful..
  15. Nailed it.
  16. This absolutely BLOWS MY MIND that lefties don't understand the difference. I am all for getting rid of ILLEGAL immigrants but nothing has been said about kicking LEGAL immigrants out so I don't see the issue.
  17. I completely agree with this. I think this is the first time a lot of these youths even voted and they didn't get their way so they're pouting. I heard an interview last night with a protester in LA and I kid you not this is word for word, "A lot of people are upset that who they voted for didn't win and that isn't fair."
  18. I don't mind idling a plant or slowing production or whatever you have to do to correct your supply/demand. Laying off.. sucks. At least they know early enough to not overspend on the holidays. Hopefully the families will plan accordingly and will be back to work in only a few weeks or so.
  19. 15, she's just a freshman yet... lol Plenty of time yet! I'd be grouped in that as well because my girlfriend is Indian. It's a shame how close minded people are.
  20. So you would have been wanting to more regardless of who won, right? Because the both acted like a high schooler with their drama BS.
  21. AWESOME! I know you're not some dumb dumb but when I saw that I didn't know if you had looked past it at some point. Question, with it illegal there...how does that make you feel? Or Why would you choose a country which still does not allow a same sex marriage? I feel like that would be somewhat of a lateral move. Yeah that's just a f@#k'd theory.. No better way to word that.
  22. Drew, just as a heads-up. You mentioned Germany at one point and gay marriage is not legal there. I don't know how a marriage here transfers to a country like that.. but it's definitely worth looking into. They allow same-sex partnerships which grant most of the same legal benefits but it is not considered a marriage.
  23. It's horrible from both parties. Nobody shows respect for each other anymore. It is their way or no way.
  24. I agree with this. Aaaand this..
  25. They should have consolidated brands rather than try and bring more over here. Ford and GM consolidated brand because it was necessary and it's costly.
