  1. Nope, I already know it is toast.... Unless they can somehow pull money magically out of their ass-it's not happening. Don't expect too much on the Dodge car front either.....
  2. Not sure how well it will work with all the crazy drivers here!
  3. Tough to say....market could get interesting...gas prices are bound to go back up. Also get the feeling there will be some rebates for it to get it going..... Price is kinda high, though...
  4. Cars are going to be damn sexy when they get here.....between Buick and Lincoln, there is going to be some swagger......
  5. Well, this has me interested. Love that new Acadia , something about the size of it I really like. Plus I love the Blazer name.....
  6. Pretty much dead on to what I was thinking after reading that.....
  7. Well, there will be deals all over FCA.... Good to see more positive numbers this month....
  8. Kinda been hearing rumors through the wall on this one....and not totally surprised that it is not going to happen. Plus, it would have been a big waste of money which chances are good it would have sold poorly anyways. Jeep getting to lux might start sending their customers elsewhere... At this point-maybe a trim level? Worse case maybe still use the platform for the C/D and make and an off road beast, something the "true" Jeep guys could use besides their own jeeps... FCA is strugging.....they really need to work on their core stuff....
  9. Yeah, I have been in one, just no test drive...yet! And some folks at GM need to still learn how to forecast...it's just not smart to add a 3rd shift and add production from Mexico...they should have known stock would have evened out not too far down the road....
  10. That was GM's fault...3 shifts at L town, and lets bring some up from Mexico...equals a serious glut of them. Added to the fact that compact sales are down (everyone is buying CUV/SUV) means some good deals. Not Cavalier good deals, but some nice discounts. If I choose to go the small car route instead of the CUV one, there's a good chance it will be a Cruze then...
  11. Yep....cars are still worth something.... Willing to bet once I update my fleet I could still pull 2.5, 3.5 and 4k private for mine...and also paid for. I always wondered why people need to have more than one new car anyways...I watch folks with over a grand just in car payments! I figure in our case a new CUV (base model) and a used semi-compact car should cost less than half of that.....
  12. Interesting this comes up after a good buddy of mine just traded in both his cars and got two new ones... One car owed 12/got 4100 and Second 20k/18k. Somehow, he ended with with some rebates that in all only cost him about 20 bucks more a month. Also kinda a shame because both cars where about 2 years to pay off... He is lucky that he can afford them as his he and his wife have pretty good jobs....but it is going to make it harder for them to get a house in the future with that debt.... It's why at this stage of my life-while I love cars, I also would love to keep some money in the bank! It's why I'm fixing up the two I have now, and we are looking at just one new car,for the family to share. Even then it's a good chance it will be a base model.....screw the bells and junk with it.... And when her car goes, a 3-5 year old used car will be the replacement-at a cost of less than 40 percent new...... It's also why leasing is going to get more and more popular-cheap-and you just get a new one when you are done.....
  13. Might be right there...it simply may be more of the size of the car that throws it off for me.....other than that-it was a fun drive! Just drove my buddy's new 2017 Sonata....and that handles quite well too!
  14. Yep, seems pretty much everyone has changed over that has been here a while....
  15. Yeah, comes off kinda floaty to me...
  16. So they are going to piss off some of their core customers...not a smart move....
  17. True, the new Compass looks good (old one-blah!) and I really like the Patriot, but they are going to be gone by the time I plan to buy. The baby Jeep ute' is cool, but too small for family stuff (would be good for the wife though) And I like the other two...but simply not putting any kind of crazy money out for them...... And Yep- GM's Compact are never cool, but they go awhile...The powertrains on both Ecotec engines are strong- and might go a while if the MI weather doesn't rust them out first...
  18. Their SUV/CUVs seem to pop up all over here.....and the new style is growing on me. The interior layouts are nice and simple....
