Chances are, if the community he lived in didn't put shame on schizophrenia, and recognized the symptoms, and got him help, this would have never happened. Psychiatrists confirmed that he was insane, and even the prosecution, and defense agreed he was insane. What do you want him to do? Go to prison for something he wasn't responsible for, have a relapse, and end up eating another dude?
