  1. haha i had one of those chasing my trans am the other day through traffic... i noticed it had a checkerd flag on it... white and black on the roof and on the mirrors
  2. accually we couldnt sell them till the 13th... this guys information is wrong because on the 10th they annonced that they had some delays so it would be announced on the 12th, but on the 12th we still didnt have our invoices, they came on the 13th... and i figure it was the same as other dealerships
  3. well then you get things like that 29th 1997 pontiac firebird firehawk with the lt4 surface after almost 8 years
  4. GM knew it would come down to a day or two... they sell nearly 7000 cars and trucks a day... and with 05 January starting on a saturday, who knows if 04's sales tallies counted for 05 or 04 when it comes to regeristering... 2005 also ended with a new years weekend... and who knows if GM's cars tallied for 06 or 05 year? or Ford for that matter... comon, if we are going by sales recorded by dealerships GM is correct... if we are going by Registrants, Ford is right... but they both cant be right on the same playing feild if GM makes that disclamer that its sales recorded by dealerships in the add, it makes it completely lawful
  5. its better then the last article i read, that said they'ed make for 29 jobs...
  6. yea thats what i thought, but for some reason i was under the impression the 07's would get a facelift on the cts, because the sigma wouldnt be ready for change... although the 06's got new interiors didnt they?
  7. yet we've seen them testing already? same as the silverado's and we expect silverados to be here in 6 months...
  8. what if vehicles sold in 2004 were regerstered in 05? this would obviously be a cheap shot to chevy... but honnestly... thats just Ford being lazy... haha if i didnt know Ford was lurking around on this site i'd have something to say regaurding my dealership...
  9. i was under the impression it would get a refresh for 07, and redesign by 08... how far along is sigma II?
  10. how far away is the enclave from production?
  11. Article Link GM Opel says no plans for now to cut Astra output FRANKFURT (Reuters) - General Motors Corp.'s Opel unit denied on Tuesday that it was considering cutting back output of its Astra model in Europe, although it would not rule out such a step if demand faltered. GM makes the Astra compact in Bochum, Germany, Ellesmere Port in Britain, and Antwerp, Belgium, and all capacity utilisation at all these plants is "satisfactory," it said in response to a newspaper report it was considering reducing Astra output. "The company reserves the right, however, to align production capacity with customer demand as the model's life cycle advances," a statement added. Opel works council chief Klaus Franz said that if GM decides at some stage to reduce Astra output, it should do so by adjusting working hours at all three plants. "I do not see the need to cut jobs here," he added. GM Europe is in the process of eliminating nearly a fifth of its workforce to help shore up results in a region where it last made a profit in 1999.

  13. no they didnt... if you are refering to the black things on the 93-97s... those werent really scoops, but they did allow stuff to pass through... you poor water on it, water will pass through... i assume air would too...
  14. so that you could put the key in while you were getting in the vehicle?

  16. i think Chevy should be for lower class... 10-40k Pontiac ought to be a step up from chevy... give them excitement... give them a chevy type vehicle, with enough excitement to step up the price a little...20-40k so the person is like... i could have this chevy, but for 2-4k more... i could get this awesome pontiac... pontiac then saturn steps in... saturn might not be as exciting as it is contemperary... something that is very refined an elegant, but still obtainable from the the middle class ought to be ought to be 25k-50k then buick should be very nice... someone who is very successful. someone who wants premium comfort, style, and elegance. ought to be near 40-70k cadillac should be sold to those who want only the best, a tycoon or something. although pushing cadillac up that far makes it very expensive and a very small market. Cadillacs ought to be near 60k+ Hummer, and GMC are all ready what they need to be... GMC could use a little differences but hummer is perfect... Saab needs to be an import brand... saab ought to be a saturn price counterpart... a 25-50k but it needs to have global presence, a german style car... something with pestige
  17. wasnt there 3 ZL1 Corvettes?
  18. yea if they give it the turbo then it would be okay...
  19. i think it will only add sales to the brand, unfortunatly... it may take a few away from chevy... personally i think pontiac shouldnt have any more vehicles in that budget, pontiac is better then that...
  20. good article... didnt realize that happened in the 20's
  21. its the dealers fault for not selling them, not ordering them with the wrong equipment... in cali here... DSLs are so hard to find, and GMS wipped em all out, and red tag did it again... so when i drive by another dealership and i see 05 duramaxs... i'm thinking... these guys just must not have used red tag on them... we cleared out over 1500 vehicles within GMS... other dealerships ought to be able to sell at least what they had
  22. what do you mean?
  23. i was pushing this on the fastlane... at our dealership our GM trainers teach us about how each engine GM makes (except the aveo) has 5-6 long life components that the competition doesnt have, and all of them have at least 100k mile life expectancy... so if they expect everything to last 100k miles, and they are saying how it wil save the consumer money... well, why not foot the bill if the consumer wont have to replace these items anyway...
  24. haha... thats what happens when GM gets cought with its pants down...
  25. i agree... that is a must... i loved those old GM buckles
