GMI: Next-Gen Cadillac DTS confirmed for Uber LWB EPII
as indicated to me the the NG Impala was supposed to be Zeta, and then it was supposed to be on the same wheelbase as the new LaCrosse. Now, however it looks like the decision that GM is making is either LWB Alpha for the Impala or discontinue it all together after 2012.

GMI: Next-Gen Cadillac DTS confirmed for Uber LWB EPII
To my knowledge GM was never considering a NG Lucerne at all beyond the original Zeta Park Avenue which has been canned. This Ultra LWB EP II has only showed up in the discussion of this particular Cadillac.

Title Says it all... This is the final piece of the puzzle. Buick's got nothing special with this car now coming out for Cadillac- time to kiss Buick goodbye and hope they enjoy their new home in Shanghai. http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f70/gmi...approved-77700/

Buick's Future May Be Chinese!
Guess I wasn't that far off last night... Oh well, Chevrolet + Cadillac I guess.

REPORT: General Motors in "intense" bankruptcy preparations
Throw in that EpII DT7 they've been planning and you've pretty much got the entire Buick lineup of the future save for Delta covered, which is why my more logical side says that they could be done without in the North American market... not that it'll stop my from buying a LaCrosse 3.8L in a few years.

You know Cadillacs and Chevys sell in the same showroom in Canada and that arrangement has worked out well enough... Additionally we have a dealership on the other side of town that has all but Saab and Saturn under one roof (not a good idea IMO)

What I don't get is GMC, which is a profitable asset. By all accounts it's gonna get cut, perhaps because of Obama and Co.'s rhetoric on green cars and not focusing on trucks but at the same time, I may only be a single year into my 4.5yr International Finance degree but at the same time they've already taught us that within reason you shouldn't walk away from a slot machine that's spitting out tokens...

Chevrolet and Cadillac, Shanghai GM/Buick in china only, possibly a niche presence in Cadillac showrooms, GMDAT. The End.- Car Shopping...
My 2008 LT Sedan in Slate Metallic (Below) is a nice solid car that with the right tires (OEMs are crap go for the Triple Treds from Goodyear) is just what DF said it was, a stable, quiet, easy riding, solid little car with lots of power for its size and not much different fuel economy from the Aveo. It's a no-brainer.- REPORT: General Motors in "intense" bankruptcy preparations
Bingo. Its entirely conceivable in my mind that Buick be China-only. I wouldn't have said that 2 years ago but they've blurred those lines between Cadillac and Buick too much and the Cadillac brand has more equity both in North America and worldwide. A FWD SRX and the Escalade going Lambda seem to indicate to me that Cadillac models could easily replace the Buick ones currently sold here. Buick could be relegated to China as Holdens with some differentiation (China is a big market who's to say they can't have their OWN brand). Throw in a Epsilon II DTS and an Alpha STS and you've simply replaced the entire Buick lineup. I hate to say it as a BUICK FAN but I am a BUICK FAN second and a GM FAN first. I would be happy with almost any outcome as long as it involved Chevrolet and Cadillac surviving.- REPORT: General Motors in "intense" bankruptcy preparations
To me it seems very clear. Cadillac and Chevy have a certainty of being in the "good category". I would think that GMC (Profitable) as well as Buick/Shanghai GM and GMDAT would be in that grouping as well, but there are no guarantees in my mind beyond Chevrolet and Cadillac.- So, is it time to clean yet?
I'm waiting for the rest of the snow to melt then I'll do it all at once.- So, is it time to clean yet?

Yes please do. I don't have much use for (2) identical 2007 Impalas beyond riding them down 16th Avenue like waterskis- Car Shopping...
please avoid the 06-07 Monte it's not on the same stiffened chassis as the current Impala. The Impalas a good choice and I have to tell you although I haven't driven the new Aveo/G3 the materials inside are better than the Cobalt, but I'd still take the Cobalt for its stronger engine and better features. Also if you want an 07 Impala maybe you could *cough* buy the one I'm selling in the member marketplace that belonged to my grandfather- CREAMPUFF LESABRE
Oldsmobile pretty sure it's an 88 or Custom Cruiser.- 2010 GMC Terrain revealed
Oh SWEET JEEZUS. It looked better with Camo. IMO this thing is hideous, and I mean "hide the children" bad. At least we know exterior badge engineering is dead at GM because the Equinox is a BEAUTIFUL vehicle. - Place yer bets
